A list of puns related to "Danse avec les stars (season 6)"
Good evening ! We are in the quarterfinals of the show. It will be two rounds, at the end of the first one, 2 teams will be sent directly to the face off. Then by the end of the second round, two couples will be safe.
SN : Funny to note that none of the team have scored a perfect score yet or even a single 10 and the season is ending in 2 weeks. Anyway let's get to it.
Tayc & Fauve (Cha Cha "Wanna Be Startin Something") : Little comment before the dance, the fact that Tayc was a Billy Crawford fan made me cackle so loud. Billy Crawford was that guy when he came out with "Trackin'" in 2002 at least in France. My cousin was in love with him. Funny to see that he was MAJOR here but a D-list in the US. See, this is how you incorporate the afro beats dear to Tayc even if it was a little too much. It was a good cha cha, I thought his steps were just a little small which is shame. Also didn't like his costume and I feel like everything was little too dark as a television piece, get them in gold or even white clothes and it woul have been looking incredible. The judges explains that the afrobeats infusion was so fitting here because cha cha is an afro-cuban dance like the fondation is from african dances. He still has to work on his foot placement.
Scores : 9-9-10-9 = 37. My score : 9, the best cha cha of the season, no question just work on the feet a little.
Aurélie & Adrien (American Smooth "Never Enough") : There was a little screen but in the bottom corner showing Aurélie preparing for the dance during the package and she made a gorgeous arm movement, please repeat that in the dance. I'm a little upset because I feel like Aurélie is the type of person who slay the dance in rehearsal but doesn't achieve to repeat that on the live show. I liked the choreo, I liked the artistry, I like their look but overall it lacked grace. The judges say that she is still improving but they have to work even more on their chemistry and symbiosis and they also have to work on her impulsion, Chris Marquez also add that they lacked fluidity and there was a little too much mistake.
Scores : 8-7-6-6 = 27. My score : 7, maybe I was a little too charmed by the music choice but I thought 6 was a little to low even if I overall agree with the critique. Also the fact that JPG said she was gracefull when it was the thing she lacked ...
Michou & Elsa (Contempory "Pas beau") : Michou was the target of bullying because he was a chubbier as a kid an

So I'm going to try to make this live blogging of DALS a little shorter because this is just way to long I believe. Tonight I will really will talk about the dances (performance, outfit and story) no comments on the packages and I'll only will give what overall the judges said because they tend to agree a lot so waintint for every judges to give their critique makes it repetitive. Anyway here we go !
Tonight there is another "twist" : last week top 3 - Bilal, Dita and Tayc - will face eachother and the one with the lowest scores will go straight to the face off. Same for the bottom 4 - Aurélie, Lucie, Michou and Gérémy, two will be saved and the other two will fo the face off. Also the public in the studio will be the fifth judge and I will put there score in italics.
We start witht the bottom 4.
Lucie & Anthony (Contempory "Hometown Glory" Adèle) : Ines will be helping Lucie with the style and she will be in the dance (funny how she was stealing other people work last season but here she is making sure she gets the credit). I actually don't understand the story they were trying to say and I don't think having Ines was a good idea because outshined Lucie who did try but was still reserved which was obvious when she was dancing next to Ines. Also getting "dirtier" doesn't mean no technique like the feet, the legs, etc. This reminded me of Victoria's contemp with Val and Jenna. Overall the judges felt like it was still to timid and also that the trio didn't work so much, they need more.
Scores : 5-6-5-5 + 7,6 = 28,6. My score : 5, the technique plus the artistic wasn't there.
Michou & Elsa (Argentine Tango "Promesses" Big Flo & Oli) : Now that I understand the story and he really pushed to stay in character during the entire dance. It was just a little too slow for me but at least, it really helped him get all the steps and settle the technique. The judges believe he was more grounded, he lacked a little dynamic and Chris believes he needs to be aware that he has even more energy to unload.
Scores : 7-7-8-6 + 7,9 = 35,9. My score : 7, it's a tad to generous but he is really focus on getting the actual techinque of the AT.
Aurélie & Adrien (Quickstep "La Seine" Vanessa Paradis & M) : This is the first choreo from Adrien that I've actually enjoyed. Imo, it was a mistake to not have her in a longer dress because she doesn't haev the most gracious legs. She lost
... keep reading on reddit ➡Hey everyone, I'm going to try again to o the live blogging. This week the couples have to score higher than 30 otherwise they will stay in the hot seat and be sent to the face off right away and I kinda like the fact that they are asking for excellence but it's a little tough like imo not all the couples have the level to score that high...
Aurélie & Adrien (Waltz) : Nice to see Adrien wearing a shirt even if it's a see through shirt. This week she got to spend some time with her sisters and her mom and it's nice especially knowing how the last few days have been for them (her dad passed away days ago). They are dancing on "T'es Beau" from Sophie Tith which is funny because I have a feeling Adrien kinda like himself a lot so this choice seems almost petty. I know Aurélie is taller than Adrien but I wish she would dance with little heels because they do help with the posture and grace. It was a little boring for me, still not a fan of his choreo, proof is I have already forgotten about the dance.Denitsa explains that she needs more contrast, more energy because everything was a little one note. François enjoyed the softness and grace but she has to be mindful of her neck and shoulders even her frame is nice. Chris tells her she has to dance until the end of each musical phrases and also because walz doesn't have that much step, they are easy to spot.
Scores : 5-6-6-6 = 24. My score : 5, I mean JPG explained that he enjoyed her paso more but I wasn't expecting him to score that low ... just because he doesn't enjoy the style.
Tayc & Fauve (Paso Doble) : They are happy to have met each other, they have a great friendship. I'm a little scared for their dance based on their outfits like Tayc's looks like he will be dancing a rumba and her like catwoman... They are dancing to that great "Gangster Paradise" futuristic music Mandla Morris danced to in DWTSJr. I have yet to see Fauve in heels and Tayc in a real latin or ballroom outfit and this is bothreing me this week because if he had a more fitting costume I think I would have enjoyed everything more. This makes me question if the pros have an input in the costume choices and if so why Fauve had a "combat" outfit and Tayc a nice little silk shirt ? Denista explains that Tayc has to work in his paso posture and a little less fluidity in the paso. Chris isn't gagging, for him the performance was great but this has to tone it down when it comes to his strengh and energy.
**Scores : 8-8-

I will say that I'm really impressed with Jordan Mouillerac as a pro. He is delivering great choreos.I have yet to be disappointed by him this season.
JB and Ines are out and I know for a fact the judges were planning to cut Aurélie and Adrien.
Hey everyone !
So I didn't do episode 2 because it was just too much and I wasn't understanding a thing so now that we have the entire casting together I'm trying again.
Some infos : no more saving buzzers (shouldn't have been there in the first place) and we are live !
So let's do it !
Lucie Lucas & Anthony Colette (Waltz) : First thing barefoot wannabe contemp waltz... again... I believe the majority of the pros just doesn't know how to do proper ballroom or latin hence the contemp infuse everything. And when they do it with ballroom dances it's even more an issue because they are supposed to have a strong frame but contemp his more lyrical, flowy so in the little watz we got, the frame was not strong enough. Denista says she needs to work on her upper body and to not look at the ground, François said he was really suprised and that Lucie came out of her comfort zone however she has to work on her feet (should have wore shoes maybe that would have help mask it, just sayin'). JPG doesn't have anything interesting to say yet again and Chris is happy because they confirm his "saving buzz" but they have to work more technically for the future of the competition.
Scores : 7-7-7-7 = 28. My score : 5 because there was only 25% of waltz in that dance and the technique was not so great.
Tayc & Fauve Hautot (Rumba) : A rumba on U Remind Me ... So this was not a contemp infused dance, it was a jazzy hip hop infused rumba like I enjoyed the dance but there was close to nothing that actually reminded me of a rumba (get it ?). I really wish Fauve would give her partners the content of the proper style. And this is excatly whay Chris is telling them, for them Fauve broke the rules and I 100% agree. Francois tells him to work on his hips and her also agrees with Chris to get out of not respecting the assignement. I don't know why they are blaming Tayc like he is not the one doing the choreo, that's on Fauve. Denitsa says he has to work on projecting and his shoulders. JPG will give is opinion later but who cares.
Scores : 7-7-8-6. My score : 5 same as Lucie & Anthony there was close to no content and the only content we had was repetitive.
Vaimalama Chaves and Christian Millette (Rumba): First thing I love the song, Corps from Yseult. Antoher barefoot dance and another contemp infused one. At some point they have to call them contemp like there was like 4 rumba steps. And I feel bad saying it because I can see that she was r

The casting of DALS is mostly out if not entirely (not sure yet). I said on another post that I will make a post about it so here it is !
Bilal Hassani : He is a singer, he is 21 and his big breakout was when he represente France for the Eurovision Song Contest. He is proud part of the LGBTQ+ community and he is vocal about it. He is a talented singer. He will be part of the first ever same sex pairing on the show which is HUGE in France. From the outside, people might think that France is so woke and advanced because this is "the land of human rights" but there are still so much bigoted people here. Plus Bilal is from a morocan family, he is gay, he doesn't dress like a man should be dressing according to what the society says. I know this will be tough because he will have the bigoted, the racist, the homophobes hating on him but I'm super proud of him to do this show.
Here is a video of the song he chose for Eurovision : https://youtu.be/dw7WqoSHtgU
Michou : I don't know much about him and the little I saw didn't reallly made me want to know more. He is 18 I think, he is youtuber turn streamer turn rapper. He seems super annoying to me but we'll see how he does on the show.
Here is one of his music video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFcxEfRO3n4
Wejdene : She is described as a R&B singer but truly she is more of a pop singer (R&B is used really lightly in France). She is 17, really popular for the teens and kids. She has stated many times she wants to do the show so I truly believe she wants to do the show and she isn't doing it to save her career even if yes doing DALS might introduce her to an older audience which would be perfect for the next step of her career.
Here is a music video of her : https://youtu.be/yiZeq3o-drA
Tayc : Now this a singer I actually listen to. He is 25 and should be a big contender for the win (depending on his partner) because he knows how to move, he has a great stage presence and for the past year, he has done multiple variety shows on TF1 (DALS' channel) so the audience knows his face at least a little. He has said problematic things in the past about black women and some strange and unasked relationship advice. I think he will deliver each week (depending
... keep reading on reddit ➡Hey everyone ! Why is this review so early ? Because DALS was on thursday night exceptionnaly this week. Every year we have the NRJ Music Awards and every year, DALS move to thursday for a week. The NRJ Music Awrads is the bootleg version of the VMA, it used to be so great, with a great host and evrything, but just like the VMA, the quality went down. So this week on DALS, it was the judges choice which means each judge go to work with one team for their first dance, they don't get to score the team they work with. The second dance was guilty pleasure : what is that one song that you secretly listen to ? Lastly thing week they had the Bondin's as guests on the show, they were not judging but they were here to make some jokes I guess since they are a duo of comedians. I'm not a fan, not a hater either but like they didn't bring anything to the show so I probably won't mention them again in that review. Tons of thing going on this week so let's do it !
After a little exchange with /u/cruisingjoe01 I've decided to make a post about the French version of DWTS : Danse avec les Stars.
Before I give my opinion of the show - even tho I've stated many times I think there is many problems - I will try to give you some info.
Danse avec les Stars (DALS) premiered on February 2011 so YEARS after SCD mainly because dance shows never get great reviews in France for whatever reasons (I honestly don't know why). We've had many hosts that are not nearly as great as Tom and so I won't talk about them lol.
The judges :
Those 2 have been judges since the first season and imo I don't see the show staying without them. Then we had many different judges including Marie-Claude Pietragalla (star danseur and contemp), singer Shy'm who won the second season, Matt Pokora who won the first season (he is also dating DWTS alum Cristina Milan), DALS pro Fauve Hautot and currently Patrick Dupon also a star danseur.
For the pros I won't name all of them but I will talk about some pros later in this post.
Guess who's back again ! This week for the first time teams had to learn 2 dances (plus the dance-off) but there is twist - a bad one as usual - not every team will get to perform there 2nd dance. After the first round the public will vote and the team with the lowest combined score will begoing directly in the face-off. Also this is Haloween night, the opening number was heavily inspired from DWTS opening number, it's almost like there isn't thousands of film, stories, myth you can draw imagination out off. Anyway let's get started.
Good evening everyone ! Welcome back to my review of DALS. This week was dedicated to Celine Dion, the legend herself. She deserved a better opening but it is DALS. First thing I noticed 3min into the show were the horrendous shoes the male pros had during the opening. So now we are done with the brick looking wannabe sneakers so they try to make the wannabe rangers boot a thing. Anyway let's get into it.
This was tough, but I'm determine to do a weekly recap of DALS because I honestly enjoyed the little exchanges we had about the different versions of the show and I enjoy sharing about what is happening over here in France. Not gonna lie tho this first week was hard to watch for many reasons and I'm not even blaming the celebs for it. The songs and styles we not matching for most dances however I appreciate that they picked many french songs (trying to be positive here). Anyway, let's dot it !
Tonight was Love Night on DALS which means they got dedicate a dance to someone they love (mom, daughter, lover, others). I missed the opening number as well as Clara's package bc I was watching Doha Championship and the finale of the 100m. Anyway Let's get started !
Sorry I am a little late but here is this week review. This week was 10 year anniversary of the show in France, to celebrate they brought back inconic celebs from the past to form trios.
I missed the opening number so oops but I saw all the dances. I have to say, I try to at least write my post right after the show because I know that I won't go back to watch the dances but this week 1) I was too tired and 2) I was a little annoyed by some things so I didn't want to write too fast. I was so happy to see Loïc, Lenny and Amel back in the ballroom. Tonya was also there but on a pro number later on the show as well as Phillipe. The night was still meh tho, let's get into it !
Not that you'll notice the difference but this week, I've decided to kinda live blog the review. We are in the semi finals, how saw seeing the overall level but it is what it is. I will say, the opening number was nice, like really good.
And onto the second round, they are dancing with everyday hero and imo, it's too lat
... keep reading on reddit ➡Welcome back to my review ! This week was "le défi imposé" which was basically the judges imposing a dance move to the teams and if they succeded in doing it thety had 5 more points.
I'll preface my review by saying that I didn't watch the show really live bc there was no way I was missing the track & field relay finale. Anyway I was like 20min late and my dumb self didn't thought of skipping the commercials.
Quick into, I tuned in 10min late because I forgot about it tbh. So it's the semifinals, the couples will be doing two dances, the couple at the top of the leader board after the first round will be heading to the finale !
Aurélie & Adrien (Argentine Tango) : I'm late so I missed Aurélie and Adrien's first dance but from the little I saw it was a little wobbly. The judges are happy she was really into the performance, she had a good connection with her partner but it was still lacking technique.
Scores : 9-7-7-7 = 30. I obviously won't be giving that one a score.
Tayc & Fauve (Contempory "N'insiste pas") : So little TW because this song is about domestic violence and femenicides. This dance was extremely well executed and as someone who has never been in a this type of relationship it was really hard to watch because they translated not only the lyrics of the song but also the emotions. It might be really triggering for many people because it was really aggressive but the story was so well told and has violent as it was, I hope this will spark the conversation around DV.
Scores : 9-10-9-9 = 37. My score : 10, honestly I didn't completely paid attention to the technique but it was really well told, great job for the execution and Fauve for the storytelling.
Michou & Elsa (Foxtrot "Parce que c'est toi") : It was cute honesly, Michou does have a good frame and he was gliding more in the ballroom. Still a little stiff for me. The judges say that it was fluid, there is a great connection between the two but they do have to work on his frame because his shoulders tends to go up, it's like he tenses up. SN : are they really an item ? Because they were alluding to that a lot and I thought she had a boyfriend... or mayne they are going for the showmance.
Scores : 9-7-6-6 = 28. My score : 7, 6 is a little harsh for me it wasn't that bad.
Bilal & Jordan (Samba "Hey Ma Ma") : They are barefoot and I don't like it. I'm seeing hip movements in the rehearsal packages I swear if I don't see them on the ballroom... WHERE ARE THE HIPS I JUST SAW 10s AGO ? Other than that I love the choreo but I do think shoes would have help them because he was the floor was a little slippery. It was still the best samba of the season, don't get me wrong but I saw way more hips in rehearsal than here so it's like you're in the restaurant, you see a plate passing by and you're drooling so you're like I'm going to order than and when y
... keep reading on reddit ➡Hey everyone, couples will be performing one "solo" dance then they will team up. So Dita this week can't compete because of medical issues but she will be back next week if she is fine. So for the team round, Terrence Tell from season 9 or 10 will be dancing with Ines as a remplacement.
Here are the team :
Team A : Aurélie & Adrien with Tayc & Fauve.
Team B : Gérémy & Candice with Terrence & Ines
Team C : Michou & Bilal with Bilal & Jordan.
Aurélie & Adrien (Contempory "Versus") : Yeah I'm not feeling that dance at all, it's like trying to hard to be contempory. Compared to Gérémy's last week who just felt more organic and authentic. Also it was very repetitive imo. I will say unlike Lucie, Aurélie was really going in. The judges overall liked it a lot, she said she used her long limbs to her advantage, it was probably her best dance this season she just have to get more nuance.
Scores : 9-7-7-6 = 29. My score : 6, but it's really leaning towards a 7 because of her engagement in it.
Tayc & Fauve (Quickstep) : It was a fun dance, not so much moment in frame but I liked the energy, the feeling, I liked seeing him really in something more traditional however Tayc was kinda shuffling in his steps. The judges said it was not perfect put it was really solid and they thought the feets were great.
Scores : 9-9-9-9 = 36. My score : 8, this was my favorite dance of them, I can't go higher because there wasn't much moment in hold.
Team A (Paso Doble) : It's again a more futuristic paso and they are dressed like they are doing a robbery but acting like the zombies in World War Z. This dance was lacking two major things : a cape and fitting shoes. It felt a little naked and because it wasn't that polished everything felt unfinished. Ngl I didn't completely listent to what the judges said but overall they liked it a lot and thought the teams complimented eachother very well.
Scores : 8-8-8-8 = 32. My score : 6, it was lacking element to emphasis the fact that it was a paso.
Gérémy & Candice (Quickstep "Les Limites") : He is a little all over the place which goes well with the song but not so great for his frame. Liked the overall energy but the technique was not all there. The judges explains that because his frame wasn't locked in good, it messed up everything.
Scores : 7-5-6-5 = 23. My score : 5, because there was much more frame than Tayc's and this is why it wasn't a 4.
