A list of puns related to "Crypto Judaism"
This is a plot-driven, speculative work of mystery fiction based in New Mexico. It's a fun, fast read told from the viewpoint of the four main characters.
What if you knew it was the last time you would see someone just by looking at them? It turns out thereβs an app for that.
When investigative reporter Justine Reconaire gets too close to discovering why a mysterious blight devastated green chile crops across New Mexico, her life is endangered by billionaire entrepreneur Gareth Bryne. Meanwhile, Bryneβs space tourism facility in the heart of the state, Spacefort, is targeted by an anarchist, anti-space tourism group known as the Icarus Society. Justineβs friend Bartel Menardo unwittingly becomes the centerpiece of Justineβs rescue effort while at the same time steering his ex-girlfriend Aurora, who reappears after two years, away from the most extreme elements of the Icarus Society.
Over the course of the weeks-long search for Justine, each of the protagonists makes decisions they wouldβve recently considered highly uncharacteristic, reevaluating their lives as new and surprising circumstances arise. Set in the near future, New Mexicoβs unique landscape and architecture bind the accounts of the novelβs four separate narrators together as they navigate derelict ghost towns, expansive cave networks, seedy Albuquerque neighborhoods, and luxurious estates in search of Justine and, at the same time, a larger sense of purpose.

Is anyone here familiar with this topic? I came across it when my DNA test showed the Iberian Peninsula as a trace region. Then it popped up again when I discovered several of my ancestors were Primitive Baptists. I've found a few more hints along the way, but I don't want to get caught up in some bug mystery if there's an explanation that makes more sense. I'm just looking for someone who might know of; surnames, given names, specific "cover" religions, connections to the free masons, connections to melungeons, symbology, traditions, or practices that might give more of an indication that this needs to be given more attention.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
Iβm no longer a religious Jew (I was raised Reform) however Iβve found myself motivated to do difficult things by the thought of my ancestors being so capable of survival. Do ancestors have any significance in Judaism? Is there any way to focus Jewish religious practice on that? Iβd consider other religions like Shinto but I feel like that would be traitorous to my roots.
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Nothing, he was gladiator.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
There hasn't been a post all year!

In the final section of the book, Bryne and his ex-wife and former Miss New Mexico Natalia Mora are exposed for their sinister scheming and dubious motives, both against each other and the main characters. But Justine, Aurora, and Bartel must still make hard decisions that will affect the rest of their lives.
Target Audience: Contemporary mystery and speculative fiction readers who prefer character-driven storytelling over gratuitous sex, drugs, and violence, but also appreciate a realistic allotment of the salacious and the scandalous.
Comp Titles: βThe Menardo Projectβ is written in the playful and imaginative style of βThe Man Who Diedβ by Antti Tuomainen with a plot rooted in current events and the cultural zeitgeist similar to βDark Skyβ by C.J. Box. The evocative geography plays a key role in how the story unfolds, much like Nick Harkawayβs βTigermanβ or many Tony or Anne Hillerman novels.
