A list of puns related to "Crime Story (film)"
I'm doing some research for a script I'm writing, and I want to look at buddy stories in general. As I said, it's a plus if it's a road movie or if a family is at the center of the story. The Guilt Trip is one I've already got on my list, I looked at Swiss-Army Man, and also Weekend At Bernie's (that one is more related to the subject of the story though).
Thanks again for any suggestions. Cheers to everyone.
They could possibly introduce Robin in the sequel and make him like Richard Grayson in Nine Lives where he's a cynical snarky private investigator.
Came across this show through one of my friends. Was kinda surprised that Bangalore Police allowed a team to make a documentary on them. The show is not the greatest thing on the platform but does highlight a few things, intentionally or unintentionally.
The show follows the police solving a case in each of the episodes. The cases are picked such that they have a common thread, which is that it all deals with people not so well off financially and socially. Shows us something other than Indiranagar, Koramangala, BTM Layout.
My thoughts on the show:
What's good? - The cases picked have something more to say than just the crimes themselves. They shed a light on the plight of different sections of our city. The final two episodes focus on two women sub-inspectors who seem the most genuine and honest of all the police officers in the documentary. It shows that there are a people in the police department who probably genuinely care about their jobs and the impact they have on the society. Meanwhile, also showing, unintentionally at times, that most of the police can be full of shit and are just acting good for the cameras to up their PR game.
Now to what's bad - the documentary itself is very weak. Being a film connoisseur myself, it does a poor job and doesn't know what it wants to say. It tries to fake itself as a crime thriller than being a documentary. There are some scenes which are staged just for the camera, either by the filmmaker or the police officers and lose all its authenticity. The DCP in the final 3 cases is clearly looking to up his PR game and uses the show as an opportunity for the same.
Throughout the 4 episodes, there is absolutely no mention of due process followed while solving the cases. No mention of obtaining warrants, no filing of FIRs, no mention of approaching the magistrates. I don't know how often these things happen but from what I've seen in police stations in Bangalore, there is always a lot of documentation and paper work that goes on. And because this is a documentary and not a crime thriller, I expect to see some of what the actual police do. But the show focuses just on how cool the cops are and how well they can solve this case. Commenting on the due process involved, shedding light on police brutality should be the responsibility of a filmmaker involved in a documentary like this, but it always feels like the documentary was made as a PR stunt by the Bangalore Police.

I quite like the atmosphere that the films above create so if you can think of any that reminded you of them, I'm interested. (Something like Se7en or Brick as well)
Hi everyone! I have read through every reply on my post from the other day and appreciate all your input. The overwhelming answer seems to be to go ahead with clear and detailed trigger warnings.
At the moment Iβm planning 4-5 posts. These are specifically going to be outlining several serious crimes that were bad enough to be in the news and, in a few cases, commented on by Gothard himself. While IBLP was never the sole cause in these instances and thus managed to avoid any liability, I would argue that they were a contributing factor.
Anything I post in this series will be done with the following protocols:
Post under the new flair βWARNING: IBLP Horror Storyβ (thank you u/Elvis_Take_The_Wheel for the suggestion and mods for setting it up)
Add specific detailed trigger warnings in each title, and use clear titles with no clickbaiting
Post each post as a photo post marked NSFW so it can be blurred. Stories will be in the comments. If you donβt have NSFW showing as blurred in your settings and want to follow along without seeing things right away, Iβd suggest going in and changing that setting.
If you donβt want to see any of this content at all/just prefer just the lighter and funnier stuff in the sub (which I completely respect), you can either:

If you still have a problem with things, please downvote or let the mods know and theyβll contact me. Iβm not a blogger, YouTuber or podcaster and will never try to monetize this, so I can stop at any point. I do not want to unintentionally add to anyoneβs trauma. I believe most of us have already had enough of that in our lifetimes.
A little background on me: Iβm former IBLP and ATI, although outside the US, and I spent 10 of my most formative years in the program. I volunteered for them in general growing up and ended up working in their office and other departments for a few years. I w

A collection of Sharon and Mindy's favorite ghost stories from past episodes...because we were on vacation. Enjoy!
Sharon and Mindy, best friends since 3rd grade, talk about horror movies, horror news, the paranormal, true crime, and other weird, creepy, or interesting things that they're into like David Lynch.
EDIT: Forgot to add, PM recap story should be posted soon.
Well, not technically her, but her producer.
But I won't be doing it. Because...reasons.
In a totally unrelated note, I reviewed my terms of employment recently (not technically a contract), and I would like to say that any recent comments I may have made regarding "pushback from corporate" or things happening "up the chain of command" or, you know, anything that could be construed as me discussing the operations of any TV station or parent company, well...I was really hungry at the time. Probably thirsty. And exhausted. And might have been on medication. Or forgot to take medication.
Anyway...I was not in a state of sound body or mind, so please disregard any statements like that, made verbally, digitally, or otherwise. Thank you.
All is well. Please don't be concerned by the above statement. I'm going to make something to eat and wade into the comments from today.
Is it out there yet that I got an exclusive quote from a certain family patriarch?!?
Back in a bit, you lovely snarkers.
