[TOMT][SONG][2000s] Very popular Country song that shows up on hip hop radios. Male singer that hits some really high notes during the chorus. It's not I Hope by Gabby Barrett.

Solved! I just heard the song again on the radio and quickly made the google app on my phone figure out what it was.

It's Share That Love by Lukas Graham

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bP-c0sD67cQ

EDIT for more info:

it's not the following:

  • Old Town Road
  • I Hope
  • Be Like That by Kane Brown
  • One Thing Right with Marshmello
  • One Too Many - Keith Urban & Pink
  • Stay with me
  • Florida Georgia Line (w/ Nelly) - Cruise
  • Happy Anywhere by Blake Shelton
  • It Ain't Always The Cowboy by Jon Pardi
  • Forever After All by Luke Combs
  • meant to be bebe rexha & florida georgia line
  • The Git Up
  • What ifs by Kane Brown
  • Wake up in a Small Town by Sam Hunt
  • Luke Bryan singing Apologize
  • Good Times Roll by Jimmie Allen and Nelly

And I don't think it's an old song. Probably came out less than 3 years ago since it's currently popular on radios

EDIT2:

I know there was some stepping sort of sound in it. Like the beat in we will rock you? that stomping sound? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SdIVPs8gZ8 But it wasn't throughout the whole song I think

EDIT3:

It's probably not a typical country song if it comes on a hip hop radio station. There's likely something more to it.

EDIT4: It comes on Missouri hip hop radio.

[TOMT][MUSIC] Old country song I heard on the radio earlier today

Like the title says, I liked a song I heard on the radio earlier today but I can't remember what it was. It had narrative lyrics about a guy who frequently played a song his wife liked, but the wife dies and he plays the song even more out of sadness. At the end he's an old man and wanders off. His family searches for several days until he's found dead at his wife's grave.

I can't remember the name of the song mentioned in the lyrics or how the melody went, but it aired on 98.1 WBRF in Greensboro, NC earlier today if that helps. I went to their website to try to find what songs they'd played today but I couldn't find one so I'm counting on y'all.

Country Radio

With all of the new music that has been coming out, especially from Country women, you would think it would be played on the radio. Over the past few months I have noticed stations mostly play male country music, JA, Kenny, Luke, Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban. And if they do play female songs it is most likely Miranda or Carrie. Has anyone else noticed this? It's so annoying!!!

Old roommate was totally radio-silent for 7 months about all our bills and then two before our lease ended, hit us with all 7 months of utilities at once. To further complicate things, I am leaving the country for 3 months in September. (IN, USA)

EDIT: formatting issues, sorry, new to reddit posting

First, TLDR:

Bad roommate refused to give myself and 3rd roommate utility bills for 7 months (didn't reply at all). Then 2 days ago when the lease ended, gave us bill for all 7 months at once. I don't want to pay the $750+ sum, and the utilities have all been in his name. Lease requires lessees to furnish all utilities, but uses only singular "his" pronouns for all language. Do I have options?

Now the details:

  • Myself, Roommate X, and Roommate Y lived in a 3 person house until our lease ended today (7/26/2017). This problem is with Roommate X.
  • Roommate X had verbal agreement to file utilities under his name.
  • Roommate X has been incredibly inconsistent with payments since January of this year.
  • Adding to this, numerous times our internet, gas, and wastewater were threatened to be canceled because he changed cards at some point and forgot to update the utilities accounts with new information. The only way to get him to handle these things was to tape the bills to his door, since texting and calling had no effect.
  • Myself and Roommate Y had paid utilities using Venmo in very haphazard amounts. (Paid a small amount in August, regular amount in Sep, Oct, Nov of last year. Got hit with a $200+ utility bill in January, which I paid grudgingly.
  • Utilities were not included in our lease. The lease does not specify that each of us is required to pitch in (only that "the Lessor will furnish the utilities at his expense". "his" is singular in all instances).
  • Roommate X has rarely been in the house since the beginning of the summer. Oftentimes came back at 12-2AM (I was still awake at that time).
  • Not only has X been troublesome with utilities, but for much of June and July he did not pay rent. We had gotten to the brink of our realtor filing eviction before he finally settled things with them.
  • Roommate X has multiple sources of income, both a GI bill from a family in the military, and a decently lucrative research position. Of the three of us, he is by far the most financially stable.
  • Lastly, he has been a fairly unpleasant roommate. His room was an absolute mess, and smell almost like fertilized mulch by the end of the year. The smell leaked out to the rest of the house. When he used the kitchen, albeit infrequently, he left it an absolute mess, with grease on every surface, piles of dishes in the sink, etc. It was not a good situation.

The situation:

At the start of the year, R
