A list of puns related to "Compression vest"
So Iβve been wearing my vest for 5 weeks now, day and night, only taken it off when showering, and Iβm honestly SICK of it. Iβm basically fully healed, and have no open wounds, no swelling since week 2. Itβs so hot, uncomfortable and annoying. My surgeon told me to wear it FOR 12 WEEKS, while I see most other people wear it for like 5 max. 6 weeks day + night and 6 weeks only day. Can I shorten this? I wanna call the hospital and ask but I donβt even know the person who did my surgery.
I do have claustrophobia. Anyone else get this feeling from the compression vest? Any way to prevent it?
Yo homies , quick question, after we shower and gloss up the nips. Is it okay that we sit down shirtless for a while just to give ourselves a break from the vest? Iβm at 3 weeks , Iβd say my left side is decent , right side doing what it gotta do. But yeah is it okay for me to let my body breathe for an hour or two before i put it back on?
I'm looking at this one:

I live alone in a rural area and really can't afford to get stuck in a binder that rolls on. This one seems like it might be a good option since it closes in front. Anyone have experience with this? I'm not post-surgery, just looking to bind long-term.
How long are y'all wearing the compression vests IK ur supposed to wear them a few weeks but it seems so cruel after binding for for long... how necessary are they π£
Its so itchy it hurts do y'all have any suggestions? Can I take it off for an hour or two for a break?
I did a quick search and some of these are like ~$100, which is way more than I'd like to spend on something I'll be wearing for a month of my life while recovering from top surgery... My surgeon doesn't give a compression vest to patients, so I'll have to buy my own, is this a standard thing to do?
Edit: Related question, how does wearing the vest compare to wearing a binder? (I wear underworks and prefer it over gc2b). Wearing the compression vest 24/7 for weeks/months sounds kinda horrible.
Hey guys. My doctor told me that he doesnβt recommend the compression vest anymore which I donβt understand cause it seems harmless. Does anyone here have a recommended vest they are willing to share the website for? Also compression shirt?
What is the best use of the vest? Is it totally necessary? I have grade 3 so I think itβs crucial. Let me know!
I was told I can wear a compression work out shirt and was wondering how to know if it's too loose
I had top surgery yesterday but my compression vest hasnβt come in yet (most likely wonβt until Monday or Tuesday). My surgeon wrapped ace bandage around my chest and said it should be fine for now. Will not having the compression vest mess up my results? Iβm really nervous. Any advice is greatly appreciated
So i have my operation in less than 48 hours and my surgeon has previously mentioned to me that I wonβt have a compression vest and wont need one. Id this something I should insist upon or buy for myself?
So Iβve already read like a dozen posts on this topic, but Iβm currently 2 weeks post-op DI w/ nipple grifts (woohoo!) and I was given the OK to stop wearing my compression vest.
However I feel like Iβve read SO many posts about people wearing it for at least 4 weeks and now Iβm nervous about stoping too early. Iβm thinking about wearing it through this third week for maybe 12 hours a day (either at night or during the day).
Any other folks stop after 2 weeks? How was that for yβall?
Also for folks who started lightly working out at the three week markβ did yβall wearing your vests during and/or after? Wondering if I should consider keeping it on as I begin that process back up as well.
So I've just had top surgery and I need to wear a compression vest for 6 weeks, but I was thinking of giving it away after I'm done.
Do y'all know whether one can use a vest like that as a binder or is it unsafe? It clasps down the middle in the front.
Update: I asked the clinic where I got it and they said yes :)
Hello, i've recieved my date for my top surgery and my surgeon told me to get a compression west made to my measurements. Sadly the only place I found so far is in ZΓΌrich (and it is expensive to travel there...) hence I wanted to ask if anyone knows a place in the canton of Berne that would offer the same. (Solothurn would be okay as well)
For larger folks, did you find that the tube style compression garment worked fine for the month of recovery from top surgery or would you suggest going with something with a zipper and velcro over the shoulders instead? Edit: Opted to go with the linked vest, but wow - customer service was lousy. Misgendered even after explaining the surgery I was having and zero need to have been gendered in the conversation. Also the rep was surly to the point I had to ask her to stop and let me ask my questions without being repeatedly interrupted to be told that she wouldn't help me. With sufficient time and questions I was finally able to get enough information from her to make a decision on sizing, but I'd recommend if you have more time before surgery that you look at other companies instead of this one.
iβm 4 weeks post op and recently quit wearing the vest. it was hurting, and also causing a lot of body acne (i cannot stress how much iβm talking clinical levels) as well as skin irritation. iβve felt a lot better not wearing it, and my soreness and pain has almost disappeared once i took it off. the issue is iβm supposed to keep it on for 2 more weeks. will this negatively affect my results if i donβt?
Getting my surgery around the beginning of next month and completely forgot I needed to buy a vest! Iβm so indecisive and am not sure what one to get . Been looking for one under $80 but idk if thatβs going to happen ! Down for links down below or any messages thank u!!!
Hey guys so I just had my gynecomastia surgery the other day and completely forgot to ask my doctor about my compression vest. Is this normally something they don't provide or something they should? I've bee browsing the reddit for months before my surgery and everyone has gotten one but I didn't.
Does anybody else find it a bit ironic that we make a big fuss about not wearing binders for too long (which is important) but the second weβre finally free of our tits we have to wear a compression vest all day everyday for a few weeks?
I just got top surgery on Thursday and as far as I can tell it went great! I'm wearing a compression vest with a drain on each side right now. Sometimes on the right side I think I can feel the suction from the drain. It's kind of like a tickling under the skin, almost like it's sucking air. The bulb itself is only taking on drainage fluid and the tubes are working fine, I'm just making sure this is normal? Should I be concerned?
Surgery in 3 days. I bought a vest but itβs kinda tiny and I canβt zip it up over myself now, so itβs too small. Couldnβt order one before because I was broke. Doc said she could wrap me after but thatβs only a temp thing, any advice?
Im having top surgery on November 9 - my surgeon told me to buy a compression vest, she recommended either marena or veronique : I really cannot decide whether I should get a full length tank or a half length one, or a different brand?? help please!!
I was wondering how long you had your compression vest on after surgery. Is there a difference between those who don't keep the nipples and those who do in terms of how long you have to wear the compression vest?
I was told to wear mine for 2 weeks, but i see people online being told to wear their compression vest for 4 weeks.
