A list of puns related to "Comparison of web map services"
I got 5 lenses that I attach to my camera. (Many of you will have even more, so this is also for you...)
I would like to have a line chart which represents the focal length of 3 zooms and 2 primes. Also aiding in representation of the crop factor (35mm equivalent) and maybe focal reducers/extension rings...
Let's say there is a (vintage) camera and lens sale and I want to have an overview over the focal lengths that my collection already covers. Or I will go on a trip and need to strategically select lenses to take with me.
I guess that there is a software that helps to give an overview about lenses (just es there is software for managing your manga collection...)
(I wrote a quick fishshell script posted below which demonstrates a primitive solution)
12 >-------------------------< 60 [Pana G Vario 12-60 3.5-5.6]
35 >------------------< 70 [Canon FDn 35-70 f4]
70 >-----------------------------------------------------------------------< 210 [Canon FDn 70-210 f4]
>< 28 [Canon FDn 28 f2.8]
>< 50 [Canon FD 50 f1.4]
I would have expected that there was a ready to use solution but as I couldn't find one - and actually didn't want to create one, I needed to ask.

I found this website that lets you see how Liverpool -and any part of the UK- looked over 100 years ago compared to a street map from 2021....
In other words, you can locate your street, school or work-place, then fade out the modern map to reveal what was there before your house etc was built.
Quick way - long link
Click the link below if you want to quickly start the map location in Liverpool (1800 to 1910) >>
Next, slide the blue slider button all the way to the left to show the modern-day map.
Now zoom in or out - and drag the map around - until you've located the area or street you wish to view and compare to the old map.
Now slide the blue slider button to reveal the old map.
Slower way - short link

I realized that when this discussion comes up, trying to google it to find out more can yield some scattered results. An 8 year old imgur album of GIFs I made still pops up from time to time, so I thought maybe I could make a clearer presentation-

I have been publishing a web map daily for the past week or so with the uploading from arcgis pro to arcgis online usually taking about 7-10 minutes. This morning in the job queue the process keeps getting stuck on "Uploading service definition" and I have been unable to find any solution to fix it. None of my layers I'm uploading have drastically changed so I am unsure where this issue may be arising....this is a product I try to get done immediately in the morning so my coworkers can use the map as a tool and this issue is incredibly frustrating. As most things with ESRI/arcgis tend to be. Any and all suggestions/advice is appreciated.
Summary -CardWiz.com v1.0 release. Free and no download or sign up needed. Just 2 minutes to results. Try it and let me know what you think. :)
Hi all. After over a year of testing, tweaking and gathering feedback, Iβm excited to announce the release of v1.0 of CardWiz and gather feedback while working towards v2.0. This version of CardWiz is completely different than the beta shared here last year.
CardWiz.comΒ is a free web app (no download or sign up required) that helps users answer the question βWhat credit card should I get next?β It seems like a simple question, but as you all know it can get quite complex especially if you already have a card or 10 and use different cards for different purposes at different times.
The only reliable way to answer the question is to construct a complex spreadsheet, which many people do not want or know how to do. CardWiz is a far easier and, in probably 95% of cases, a more accurate method of answering the question.
CardWiz uses a short (2 min) dynamic quiz that feeds into a highly optimized algorithm, which allocates userβs spend on a quarterly basis to maximize desired rewards and perks across the userβs portfolio of cards.Β And even if you have no need for the algorithm, I think youβll find the detailed rewards, perks and fees comparison grid very useful.
The algorithm accounts for the following:
Advanced settings accessible from the menu/filters include:
When taking the quiz, I highly recommend adding specific cards you are considering as Considered Cards as CardWiz can drill down into the specific rewards offerings of the card.
You may be wondering βWhatβs in it for CardWiz? Am I getting honest unbiased results?β. These are reasonable questions and I would ask the same, especially given the landsc
... keep reading on reddit β‘So I've been working on this idea for a bit because we have an isolated room for mixing the live services for FB live/streaming. When you're back in that room, it's impossible to see the stage. We have a camera feed going back there, but the sound guys often cannot keep up with the fluctuation of new singers every week and it's hard to keep track of who has what mic and where they are standing on stage.

This is a screenshot of my app, just used for my church now. It's connected to Planning Center and automatically pulls in the singers and band each week. The singers can be rearranged via drag-n-drop to match their order on stage, as well as assigned a microphone so anyone can at a glance know who has which mic.
Would any of you find this service valuable? What kind of features would you want to see? How much would you pay for something like this? (note: i'm not looking to charge $$$ but certain features might require more server resources)
Feel free to ask any questions! Happy to answer them over the course of the next few days. :)
I'm trying to gather ideas from other furries in order to gauge interests and thoughts about what y'all think should exist. I'm a bored developer searching for potential projects that could be useful to the furry community. Ideas can also be improvements to other sites, since I also enjoy writing userscripts and extensions.
Thank you, also Merry Christmas!
