Hello all!
I’m a new user here. I’m a full time working college student and I like to cook a lot. For those in NM, I go to UNM (go lobos!). I generally try to lean towards organic and local foods, but also am occasionally in need of electronics, clothing, and other usual items. I guess I have some questions if anybody from my general area or state has some guidance:
Considering how crime is Abq, how do you stay out of trouble with cops (like APD) and make sure you don’t get targeted as someone stealing? With that said, are there any local Abq ordinances or state laws regarding diving?
Are there any stores to absolutely avoid or absolutely must dive at? Some places I thought of were like maybe the Bullseye store, or the trade of joseph’s near uptown. Or the worldy market store off Carlisle and Menaul. I was also thinking of checking the local grocery cooperatives in the north valley off Rio Grande Blvd and Nob Hill, as well as local butcher shops. I also thought maybe some of the smaller ethnic stores and thrift stores might be good. Are college move outs any good here? I know I personally dumped some things from the student apartments from UNM off Avenida Cesar Chavez when I moved.
I plan to post this in some local threads as well. I’m just not sure of the reception I’ll receive back in local threads. Any tips from current or former NM resident divers are appreciated!
