I know what the fossils are, but I’m hoping for some help from people in New York. I bought these brachiopod molds and the only form of ID is that they came from New York state. I’m hoping to figure out what formation they are from. The matrix is coarse grained limestone. reddit.com/gallery/n8uu04

Does anyone in here have some ping logs they would be willing to share (including coarse-grained location info)?

(Edit: If this is against ToS I'll kill it)

I'm noodling with a side project to correlate ping times with satellite coverage but have no real data to work with. Wondering if anyone out there is willing to share some ping logs along with coarse grained location info (say down to tenth of a degree lat/long)

Ideally it would be once per minute or better over the course of a few hours or more so we can observe how the satellite passes and plane phases impact rtt. Format isn't particularly important but I would need continuous timestamp info to correlate with satellite ground track info.

Feel free to PM if you prefer. Ultimately I'd like to share the results with everyone so if you don't want any association with your reddit handle throwaways would be good.

Scale is a fantastic book on the hidden order of seemingly random complex systems. The author attempts to quantify patterns emerging in different complex adaptive systems, giving a coarse-grained perspective on the quantifiability of the urban condition. thinkthinkthink.substack.…
