A list of puns related to "Characters of Final Fantasy X and X 2"
I have these PS4 games available:
- Spider-man (still available as of 8/12)
- The Evil Within
- Final Fantasy XII
- Bloodborne
- Ratchet and Clank
- God of War 3
- Final Fantasy X/X-2
- Shadow Mordor, GOTY
I'm looking for PS4 and Switch games. I'm mostly just looking at Metacritic and seeing games I haven't played yet on the platform, but general offers are okay:
- Monster Hunter World
- Dead Cells
- Dark Souls Remastered
- Dishonored 2
- Nioh
- Wolfenstein Youngblood
- Ni No Kuni ii
- Cuphead
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
> βOur promise to ourselves is that for every single game that we make, we are going to give it our all, and then we finish it. Weβll end it in such a way that there is no to be continued checklist.β - Hironobou Sakaguchi
This was Sakaguchi's promise to Final Fantasy, and probably one of the reasons why he hates sequels.
But the players might have another reason to hate sequels: they make the previous story anticlimactic.
For example, once you found out Yuna's pilgrimage was essentially a slow walk to her sacrifice, her fate was left uncertain. Does she die at the end? If you've played the game all the way through, you know she doesn't but only in hindsight...
You really didn't really know at the time. And if Final Fantasy VII taught us anything, we know what happens to maidens who take it upon themselves to save the world from certain destruction. And that Seymour - whew! - was he a creep.
But if you haven't played Final Fantasy X, and you look at the cover for Final Fantasy X-2, you'd know Yuna survives. But...where's Tidus?
Same with Final Fantasy XIII. Once you saw Lightning on the cover of Final Fantasy XIII-2, you probably knew she was going to be OK at the end of Final Fantasy XIII. But who knew, maybe Serah would have died? Well, she doesn't.
You probably had no idea Lightning wouldn't be central to the gaming experience of the sequel, if you just saw the front cover. The back cover gives it away though.
What was to be expected when you saw Lightning on the cover of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII? Maybe you'd play someone else (you wouldn't), but you probably knew Serah would "find" Lightning. And you could probably guess that, once again, Lightning plans to save her sister (and this time the rest of the world).
This doesn't mean each game would lose emotional impact. Not necessarily; after all, Final Fantasy is all about the journey. Enjoy the ride!
^(But then, do the Final Fantasy sequels actually give away the plot in this sense? And should SquareEnix stop making Final Fantasy sequels for the sake of keeping the previous stories in suspense? What do you think? π)
Final Fantasy VII costs the same as previous versions ($15.99) while X/X-2 HD and XII are $49.99 each.
Which ones youβll be getting?

Hey guys, Iβve been wanting to buy one of these releases because they have both games in the cartridge and English support, but I always see people asking if you have the option of playing with Japanese voices with English subtitles. Does anyone know?
Also, does the NA release give you that option? Just trying to gather all the pros and cons.
Thanks!
I was thinking about buying the vita version but was curious how the performance was on vita and if it's a good version of the game?
Some background: I played FFVII, VIII and X when I was a kid and I always thought they were amazing games. I never used any guide to play so I often got stuck and not optimizing my characters at all. Also, I never kept up with the story and often skipped dialogues. I was a kid after all, so I played as it pleased me. Now, as an adult, I'm getting tired of online games with fast paced action and loot boxes, so I wanted something relaxing where I can take my time and think each action.
I remember the fact that I beat FFX and some cutscenes. I don't remember most of the story or the mechanics, so now it is kinda like starting a new game.
I guess you guys have also experienced the "nostalgia factor". That is, you play something that was amazing when you were a kid but now as an adult, it doesn't just feel the same. Well, this is not the case. Holy cow.
I bought the new HD version from Steam about a week ago and it's been amazing. The story, the music, the gameplay, I simply love every aspect of it right now. I'm trying to optimize as much as I can my characters, and take my time to level them up and equipping ideal armor for each situation. And the same goes for bosses, I'm trying to analyze them and effectively executing an effective strategy, when I was a kid, I just brute forced everything.
Story-wise, it's been amazing. I remember it was good, but I'm seeing how all characters are growing and I'm getting attached to them. The voice acting is kinda weird for me since it's not synced well, but I got used to it now.
I'm half-way through and hoping to see the end this weekend! I never played the next game, FFX-2, so let's see after this!
Replayed both those recently and still really want more of this kind of game... The specifics is turn based(I love true turn based games) and pretty well developed characters. The villains in both games are rather deep and the main characters are interesting. Graphics don't matter to me, they can be Legend of dragoon/Chrono Trigger/cross level of detail or more.
Tidus kind of sucks imo but the rest of the cast really draws out the world around you while Ryudo in Grandia 2 is such a smart ass who has a massive face turn mid way through the game that makes him feel kind of real in a way. I guess what i'm saying is I actually start to give a shit about the villains/heros of the game.
I was looking at Resonance of Fate but i'm not sure if i'd end up liking it. I got a bad habit of starting a game and just stopping cause i lose interest.
Thank you :D
So recently I bought a PS4 500gb off my friend, where I plan to get Final Fantasy XV and what not. My question is, my friend also gave me Final Fantasy X | X-2 but looking at the gameplay it seems iffy to me, so is the story that great where it's worth playing? Thanks!
P.S I'm not someone who enjoys turn based games unless the story is that great I can deal with it
