This is an image from the 1968 movie "2001: A Space Odyssey." We had top notch cinematic cameras by the time we landed on the moon in Apollo 11-17 missions from 1969-1972. Not one of those moon missions took a high resolution camera to film the Earth from the moon. All we get is low-res trash. Why?

So I was late to best Irish movie post, but when I read it, it got me thinking.
Omitted from the OP was the aforementioned The Rocky Road to Dublin.
If you’re Irish, live in Ireland, or simply have a healthy interest in Irish history and culture, I implore you to watch this documentary.
It might not be the most entertaining, but it is certainly one of the most important and really should be a LC text of study for every Irish student.
Some of the themes might seem dated now, but many are, unfortunately, as pertinent in 2021 as they were in 1968.
