A list of puns related to "Café society"
So since the market is closed for the day and the rest of this weekend I’m curious to see discussion on future operations of GameStop. I’m talking year 2030 2040. But seeing the rate of GameStop’s popularity and curious amount capital income gain I can see this idea coming in the near future of this decade.
Asia has a popularity where people who cannot afford Internet or even a gaming computer can go to and play games for a price or with a subscription at a Cafe. I think this is great for those who don’t have the ability to use Internet as well and watch movies, read or browse the Internet which unfortunately might create a slow downfall of people going into public library’s.
What if GameStop had created the same type of Market on the side of buying games, but yet support the part of society who is lower income, even middle class to be able to play a very large amount of video games on PC or console with their friends away from home? At the mall I live nearby has an Xbox live room and it is very popular but it’s only just Xbox with a few games. My friend goes there often to get away from home and can’t afford to play on a bought XBox but can afford hourly deals.
Although I do believe in order for Gamestop to achieve this would require a large sum of money testing an experiment in a city, and turn a warehouse or create buildings in order to accommodate even large Internet cafés
And this is the scary part that I really don’t like to talk about but if the MOASS events turn it into a recession so i’m curious to know how many of those would be in so much need for Internet or to find a job when the economy goes downhill and if the stock market will crash severely. Many people are already living on the streets and in their cars because of Covid and need these services. GameStop might be the company to help the people right?
Because of COVID and because we have been cooped up so long without having an event with other people I think something like this when we are opening when COVID-19 is over will be a great idea. People are dying to get out and enjoy a normal life again
Unfortunate events like public mass shooting could be a downfall or a situation GameStop needs to figure out how to overcome.
This is my idea on GameStop. Unfortunately not even related to their retail and e-commerce ways of business, quite out of the ball park. But even the GameStop fits that idea.
But seeing the turn in retail, I truly believe is dying whether y
... keep reading on reddit ➡Can someone help me? I'm looking for the track name of the song of the scene where Leonard (Evelyn's husband) ask his neighbour to turn down the volume of his radio. At that precise moment there's a song that I can't find in soundtrack list, does anyone knows it?
I first heard the phrase ‘café society’ in Truman Capote’s novella Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and I love the atmosphere that it brings to mind. Would love any recommendations set in a similar environment.
I don't know if anyone agrees that the end of this movie was quite abrupt or sudden. (but not surprised if its a common perception)
Literally just finished watching it 10m ago, and it just surprised me that all of the sudden... it just ended.
Been on a Woody marathon these last weeks, Im watching all of them by no particular order, and many of his movies can give us amazing topics to talk.
Yet this end with no warning, nor suggestion that it was close to a closure of events, is what has made me scratch my head the most.
It basically ended out of no where, and was moderately shocked to see the credits rolling.
There is a song from Cafe Society that I can’t find the name of (it starts playing at minute 27) amazon has it listed as “black stockings” but has no artist and I can’t find it anywhere else. Anyone have any ideas?!
Café Society: Woody Allen's latest film with performances from Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Steve Carell, Parker Posey, and Blake Lively, brought to you by the brilliant DP Vittorio Storaro.
The film was absolutely brilliant. Kristen Stewart and Eisenberg was not their usual selves on screen, and the colors just popped with Storaro's visionary style. The writing was good, and the characters were likable.
However, the ending... I don't get it! And the title? What does the entire film have anything to do with Café Society? What does Café Society mean as a symbol/motif? Somebody please explain to me!!
It was my first time watching both movies and I hadn't read anything about the connection between the two. Woody Allen movies tend to be hit or miss for me and I enjoy spinning the wheel and trying out the next Allen flick.
IMO Café Society was a major dud. I finished it purely as an academic exercise. A week later I watched The Apartment and my jaw dropped.
Essentially CS is a Golden-Era LA adaptation of The Apt with an alternate ending. I don't believe CS does any one thing better or even as good as anything The Apt does.
I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.

I've been enjoying books written by Fitzgerald (e.g. The Beautiful and Damned) and Hemingway (e.g. The Sun Also Rises) and some others that have a common theme of taking place during the time of a "café society" and describing the (often romantic) lives of somewhat affluent people through parties, hanging out, "easy" activities, etc. Are there any others you could recommend? Thanks in advance :)
