Butterfly joints?

I know I’ve been asking a lot of questions recently, but i have one more. Is there any reason that some SAS have butterfly joints on the shoulders and others that have similar body types don’t? I feel the most prominent example of this is how Jotaro part 3 has it but Jotaro part 4 doesn’t. Why is that? I also attached a comment with an example of what a butterfly joint is.

Emperor Cookie Dough!!! I'm a heavy smoker (2gms plus a day). I smoked 2 bowls of this and I had a 20 minutes laughing fit. I might be higher than the first time I smoked a joint by myself. I feel like my entire body is being massaged by butterflies. This is the best stuff I've ever had. Wow!

Hands down the new Vader is the best one yet. Discovered he has butterfly joints. While his arms can't swing fully, you can get a decent arm cross. The only way they can improve this again is if they make a removable helmet. I would probably prefer the Marvel Legends treatment with a swapable head.

Looking for resources: Bow tie / butterfly joints in cracked bowl

Anyone have any resources or helpful video links on mending a cracked roughy turned bowl with a bow tie joint? I’ve never done a bow tie joint in flat work, but live how they look in cracked bowls, and I’ve got a few! Surprisingly few good videos on YouTube that I could find.
