He was in grave danger!

It was a grave mistake.

Yeah they were both in grave danger.

Dad: "Did you know that the people who live in this town aren't allowed to be buried in that cemetery?"

Me: "Oh, why?"

Dad: "Cuz they're still alive."

Tour guide: And did you know that if you live across from a cemetery, you can’t be buried there?

Me: What?? Why not?

Tour guide: Because you’re still alive!

My dad said in a dead serious quiet voice "I know something you don't know about this place. The people living in this town aren't allowed to be buried here."

And I was really confused, so I asked why.

He said "because they are still alive."

Dad: You know why I can't be buried there?
Me: Why?
Dad: Cause I'm alive!

"Hey, did you know that if you live 10 miles or less from the cemetery you can't be buried there?" People would respond, intrigued "what! Really!" And then he would have a conversation about it for time before he would say "Its probably because they're still alive!!" And then he would crack up for a few minutes

You guys probably got this one. Every time my Dad and I drove past a graveyard he always had two go-to jokes.

1. Dad: See that place (pointing). People are dying to get in there.

2. Dad: See that place (pointing). People living within 10km's of this place can't be buried there.

The Recipient: Yeah? Why not?

Dad: Because they're still alive!

At least when he starts the joke I never know which one it will be.

"Did you know that people who live on that side of the road can't be buried in that cemetery?"

"Why not?"

"Because they're still alive"

He told me, dead serious and in a low voice, “I know something you don’t know about this place. The people living in this town aren’t allowed to be buried here.”

I was confused so I asked him why.

His response, “they’re still alive”
