Borg Warner T 56 transmission Puns

I have always wanted a first generation Camaro. My first car was a 1996 RS with the 3.8L V6 and it was pretty cool especially for a girl in high school but it was totaled (through no fault of my own, might I add!) and so I got a 2000 SS with a 5.7L V8, that car was my baby from my senior year through college, but once I graduated and moved across the country I wanted to start fresh so I gave that car to my little brother and bought my current ride from an ad in the newspaper (I figure that I got such a good deal because I was the only person looking at used car ads in the paper and the old man who owned it hasn’t posted anywhere else), my ‘83 Z28.

It’s an amazing car, I’ve had a few minor issues with it snd that’s not really unexpected since the LU5 “Crossfire” is known to be problematic, that said I really like it, it’s a great car and I had no intentions of replacing it until I saw that the Camaro in one of my neighbors’ driveway that I always ogle at had a for sale sign on it. The price is right, it has 28k miles, it’s in great shape with only a few tiny scratches and a small dent on the passenger door that could be fixed in 10 minutes, it’s all stock in terms of components with the only changes being the radio which was switched out for a 6 CD changer with a cassette deck sometime in the 90s and the seats were reupholstered. To be honest, there’d be no question and I would already own it if it weren’t for two things: it has 230 straight-6 engine and a 3 speed manual transmission. I don’t race or compete or anything like that, but I love driving a powerful car and don’t want to trade in what I’ve got for a car that looks like my dream but drives like a Nissan Sentra, and dropping in a new engine and transmission is more work than I’m willing to do. Apparently the i6 with the 3 speed was the absolute base model Camaro, what do you think of it?

I have a 1973 ford capri 2600 with this transmission, and recently it has been having trouble getting into any gear, and will slip out of gear when attemping to slow down, the problem is worse when the car is cold, a little better when its warm. Would appreciate any help i can get

There have been quite a few posts about the Mach-E motor. I think it makes sense to point out that Ford and Tesla both use transmissions and sometimes motors from Borg Warner. The Mach-E appears to be a complete unit from Borg Warner....so I think it's not some great technical leap or in-house design made by Ford.

Good afternoon fellow Jeep people. I have a bit of a technical question / need some opinions. I have a 1977 Jeep CJ-7 with the T-18A transmission that has the 6:32 “granny” 1st gear. I have some family and friends that are Jeepers that refer to the 77-79 T-18A trans as the “holy grail” of Jeep transmissions. I’d like some outside input on the matter. I can’t really find any info regarding the value. I’ve read endless posts about how desirable and how hard they are to find. Does anybody know what the market might look like for one of these? (Under non-pandemic conditions) I may be doing a complete drivetrain swap eventually and don’t want to be one of those “I know what I’ve got” people without really knowing. Thanks for any helpful input.
