Birthday Girl & Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman (short story from the collection blind willow, sleeping woman)

Just finished reading both these short stories and this is my first time reading a short story collection by Murakami. I'm not quite sure what The Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman was all about. Also did that girl wish for having a good married life? Can someone tell me something about both these stories that could maybe help me understand it a little better?

Thank you 😊

Audiobook, futuristic sci-fi short story read by a woman, about a girl/young adult who is poor but gains entry into a rich girls birthday party taking place in a tower and leaves the party by riding a bubble back down to Earth

There was also something to do with a robot and a train but I can't remember details. In the end I think she made the robot get hit by a train as a cruel stunt.

An analysis of the nature and type of the undisclosed 'wish' in the short story 'Birthday Girl' by Haruki Murakami

I recently picked up Haruki Murakami's short story collection Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman – the second entry in which is titled 'Birthday Girl', a story about a young woman meeting an enigmatic old man who offers to grant her one wish on the occasion of her twentieth birthday. I'm quite intrigued by this story and much of the intrigue stems from this question: What was the wish that the titular birthday girl made after all? This plot point is kept under wraps and open to interpretation till the very end. I browsed the Internet for people's readings, a few of which were quite interesting and enlightening, and after mulling over it for quite some time myself, I thought I'd share my take on the story – specifically on what the wish made was.

To cut to the chase, I think the wish that was made was simply this: to live a happier or contented life (or something in a similar vein).

When the girl tells her wish, the old man is visibly a little surprised and asks her whether she'd not like to wish for something like being prettier or smarter or rich, something that 'an ordinary girl would ask for'. To this the girl replies:

> 'Of course I'd like to be prettier or smarter or rich. But I really can't imagine what would happen to me if any of those things came true. They might be more than I could handle. I still don't really know what life is all about. I don't know how it works.'

This exchange between the girl and the old man seems to be implying at least two things: first, the girl's wish is relatively unconventional in the scheme of things; and second, it's precisely because she thinks she doesn't understand how life works that she refrains from wishing for a more attractive outward appearance, a more refined wisdom and intellect, or a greater amount of material wealth since she's unsure how having any of these things would actually benefit her in the long run.

Happiness or contentment is an abstraction; it's unquantifiable, and subjective – the definition of what it means to be happy or contented in life can't be pinned down and it varies from one person to another. On the other hand, physical attractiveness, wisdom, intellect, and wealth are relatively specific and quantifiable (notwithstanding the maxim 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'). It's to be noted that she doesn't deny wanting to ha

[TOMT][Short Story][1990s-2000s] Children's scary story of a girl whose friend died before her birthday party?

Hey, all.

I've found myself with a lot of free time recently what with the going-ons in the world, and I've decided to tackle something that's been nagging me for years - my friend told me to check in here, so I'm finally doing it.

I'm looking for a kid's short story - I thought it was in the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series or something of that ilk, but I've checked a slew of them to no avail over the years, but it's in that general genre. I feel like there may have been light illustration, but I read this in the early 2000s so it's mostly faded from my recall.

What I do remember is that it was a story about a little girl with a friend who was invited to her birthday party. The girl ends up attending the party and gives the protagonist a bracelet, only for the protag. to discover that the friend died in a car crash in transit to the party. I think the invited girl's name was Carmelita or something similar, and the story was likewise called Carmelita.

Please ask questions and I'll try my best to recall, or if anyone remembers it they can add details, OR if you straight up know where it is... just let me know!

Thanks :).

Mid 90's children book (maybe a short story) about a girl receiving a special pearl for her necklace each birthday

My teacher used to read us this story when I was in lower school (UK) so I was perhaps 6-7 years old. I just remember it was about a young girl receiving special pearls or water beads for her necklace and I think she got them on birthdays.

I just know it was a beautiful story and it's stuck with me for 20+ years, I just wish I remembered more!

[TOMT][BOOK] Short story where one girl has a reputation as a slut and is asked to have sex with someone for their birthday, but shes actually a virgin

This is one of the stories i can remember from a book. Short stories primarily dealing with teenagers, no supernatural things. Pretty sure in another one, one guy's friend dies after a party or something. mightve been written by an author with some generic name like Lee or parker or something. I remember there being a girl in highschool aroundabouts who had a reputation for being a slut, and rumors having sex with everyone but she was actually a virgin. At one point a group of guys ask her wheres the craziest place she had sex and she says behind a waterfall. Some dudes ask her to have sex with his brother for his birthday, and she agrees but confesses to the brother in the truck they were meant to have sex in that shes a virgin. They make some pretend noises and get out.

[TOMT][Book/Short Story] - Girl gets pearls for birthday/christmas and each one gives her a new power.

We had this story read to us when I was in either infants or junior school so it would have been early 90s. It was about a girl who had a necklace and received new pearls (I think) to add onto it and each one would give her a new power. A couple of the powers I remember are she could make it rain by clapping her hands and make it stop by blowing her nose.

Sad short story about a dying poor girl`s birthday where no one showed up. (kids book)

Describe the plot: A dying poor girl is going to celebrate her last birthday. Her poor family does the best to make the most of it, making soup for her guests and organising the livingroom so its space to dance. Then no one shows up.

What genre is it?: I believe it is a classic short story/essay.

Physically describe the book: Hardcover. White with some red on it if my recollection is correct.

When was it set?: I believe the story was set in the 1930 or 40. But it could been both earlier or later.

How long was the book?: Couple hundred pages - this short story was one of many.

How old were you when you read it?: around 6 yo.

When (what year) did you read it? that would be 1989

What events would fill the chapters of your All Too Well short film story?

If you had to divide your most recent or most significant breakup into the 7 chapters shown in the All Too Well short film, what would be the key events in your story?

Mine is pretty boring because I’ve only ever had one breakup which happened at 13 years old. For context, we met in primary school and ended up in different high schools so it was essentially a LDR at that age lol. It was silly but this is how mine would go:

An Upstate Escape
We escaped primary school! Woo! And we hung out with other friends at an ice skating rink. We never had anything as cool as dancing in the refrigerator light.

The First Crack in the Glass
He often seems distracted while messaging me and leaves me on read. I start becoming unhealthily insecure but I am too dumb/scared to address it.

Are You Real?
We meet up at the primary school annual fair and everything seems wonderful and it was like we had never had any distance between us.

The Breaking Point
I tell him this doesn’t feel like a real relationship because we never meet up and we barely talk anymore. He says let’s break up in a group chat and then ghosts me.

The Reeling
13 year old me was devastated. It was made worse by the ghosting. Then he comes back and says he’s gay and I say I’m supportive of that but then he says he’s joking and that I’m so gullible. 13 year old me was even more devastated after that. But then a few months later he admits he’s actually gay. It’s funny to me now but I was so upset back then and spent so many nights crying myself to sleep.

The Remembering
Sometime after I got over all the crying over the breakup he finally apologised and said he thinks I’m a wonderful friend and he cherished the good times we had together. I didn’t want anything to do with him anymore.

Thirteen Years Gone
Only 7 years gone for me! I’ve been dating my bf for 4 years and we’ve moved out together to the city. I haven’t had a massive career accomplishment arising from the relationship like in the short film, but I’m doing good now at university and I’m happy with my life.

I would love to hear your stories!

[TOMT][BLOG] Short story about a girl on her 16th birthday that gets picked up by a biker and is forced into prostitution; ends up being a dream.

My ex boyfriend sent me this blog several years ago. It was about a girl who wakes up on her 16th birthday and gets dressed up for a party, but her mom doesn't like the way she is dressed, slaps her, and then grounds her. Her boyfriend sneaks in through the window and they end up having sex, and I think her mom walks in on her. She ends up running away and gets picked up by a trucker who "is going to make her a star." He forces her to have sex with him and his friends on video. Fast forward to the end, they injected her breasts with rotten milk with maggots or something and they end up exploding. She wakes up and realized its all a dream, and runs away to recreate it.

I know the story sounds odd (and quite disgusting), so much so that I want to finish reading it since I had to quit abruptly and lost the website. It was sent to me in 2006-2007. Your help is appreciated.

The opening of a short story I'm working on. Feedback?

The sound of a blood curdling scream made Ellie jump awake, the bed squeaked loudly in protest of her sudden movement. But she ignored it and listened carefully for the scream which still echoed in her ear. But she only heard silence in return.

She wondered if she had simply imagined it.

She blinked a few times trying to adjust her eyes to the dark room, which was barely lit by a faint moonlight which swept into the room from the tiny window to her left.

Ellie sat up straighter on her bed, and placed a hand on her chest in an attempt to calm her frantic heart, which was beating as though she had been running a marathon–although she wouldn't be caught running in one, anything that required physical activity was her younger sister Jane’s forte.

Despite being twins, they looked nothing alike. While Jane had been blessed with their mother’s strawberry blonde hair and bright blue eyes, Ellie inherited her fathers jet black hair and stormy grey eyes. At the thought of Jane she turned to her bedside table to look at the picture of the two of them.

But she was greeted with an empty spot next to her bed where her bedside should have been.

Her eyes widened in shock as she stood from her bedβ€”no it wasn't her bed.

She looked around the room frantically, really taking in her unfamiliar surroundings. The plain white curtains, the empty white walls, and the grey tiled floors. It was the exact opposite of what her room looked like.

It was at that moment that Ellie noticed a broken charms bracelet that had been carelessly discarded on the floor.

It didn't take long for her memories to rush back. The disaster that was supposed to have been her birthday party. Her fight with Jane. Her car breaking down in a small town in the middle of nowhere, leaving her no choice but to sleep in the only motel she could find in walking distance.

You would have nothing without me. The words rang in her head. A wave of tears threatened to escape her eyes at the memory.

But Ellie didn't have time to continue dwelling in her thoughts, because another blood curdling scream had taken away the silence in her room.

Ellie had been so caught up in yesterday’s events that she had completely forgotten what had woken her up in the first place.

Now she was sure that she hadn't imagined the voice. It was the scream of true horror, even her wildest imaginations couldn't have conjured it so accurately.

β€œPLEASE, NO,” A frightened feminine voice said..

Was someone being attacked?

(RtA Short Story) Similar Naming

(It's kinda a teaser for OT, a path to RtA Remastered)

Hey ! You probably wonder why I’m talking to you… Well, it’s sim- Dammit ! I forgot to present myself !

I’m Mary Schmidt. I’m 31 years old and I was looking for a job since Mike is still harassing me for that… x)

Well… I was interested in a job on a factory. Nothing much… It was just for a Night as a Security Guard. The problem is that I was still hesitating for this job since I don’t know if it’s quite safe. I know that recently, this job is seen as cursed since many deaths has been reported.

And this is why I am currently talking with you. After playing two hours on the Master System, I was walking towards my chamber and this is where I saw her. When I was looking on the window, I saw a young girl that has fainted in the street.

Honestly, I didn’t want to get her into my house because I was close to sleep on my spot and plus, I was already prepared. However, Mike joined me to see what was going on.

Mike : Mary ? Why are you looking at the window ?

Mary : Huh ? Oh… Well… I see someone that has fainted… What should I do ?

Mike : I think you should go save her. I don’t know what will happen if we let her like that.

Mary : You are right... I’ll… I’ll go outside.

Of course, since I only have my panties and my shirt on, I was preparing myself to go outside on Night Time. I can immediately see that I would be killed just for nothing.

Anyway… I did arrived where she was. And the first time that caught my attention… It was her beauty.

She was like… The most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I did also see that she has a sky blue book showing a Celtic Cross. And her clothes… Well, she didn’t have any.

I don’t mean that she’s in her birthday suit ! She’s just wearing an underwear and a Holy Cross Locket. Her hair was perfectly done, she did have two pigtails attached with Chains and I don’t see any imperfections on it.

It’s hard to see how she fainted… But I did have a theory. I think that she passed out of pure luck. It’s possible since she was intact.

I didn’t stayed outside for long so after this little stop, I lifted her and immediately getting back home to avoid a problem. (I also took the book just in case.)

Mike : So. Who is this ?

Mary : It’s someone that I don’t know at all… Are you sure that I can take care of her ?

Mike : I know that I won’t be there since I’m working on the pizzeri

Horror short story about the March Hare?

I read this book sophomore year in high school so around 2016-2017, it was a YA collection of horror short stories written by various authors. One that really stood out to me was this really intense story about the March Hare who lures a birthday party of children into the woods and kills them and sets them up for a tea party, it’s from the perspective of the girl who’s birthday it is and she manages to live.

It wasn’t very long, but I remember being horrified that my teacher had it in her classroom because it was pretty grotesque. My teacher had a collection of books in her classroom that we could read during class if we didn’t have our own books, so it wasn’t something I checked out of a library.

The President Birthday Game - Anzu Short FanFic Story

The Beginning

It was my first month at my school, April, at Oarai Girls' Academy. The sakura petals were everywhere the eyes can see - some flying about in the air as the breeze blew them from the sakura trees, while some were already on the ground being swept gently along the pavement. Looking at the signage on the door which read "Student Council President" before me, I took in a deep breath, and knocked on the door.

"Come on in", the voice sounded. With my right hand pushing the door handle downwards and gently applying pressure with my right shoulder onto the wooden door, I made my way in. There was the sight of a well-lit room from a window with the back of the chair turned fully facing the door. I walked towards the table, and came to a gentle stop with my two feet close together after ensuring that there was nothing untoward the white sailor uniform with green trim and black ribbon tie.

"Good morning, Kaichou", I made sure to give a greeting as proper as I can.

"G'morning, Yuzu", came the reciprocating greeting. And the chair turned about fully, allowing one to see that she had something in her mouth chewing away on top of having a packet on her left hand.

"Ehhh kaichou...did you have a proper breakfast?", I asked the girl with brown hair tied into her usual twintails look.

"Yes, yes of course I did...but then, this is Oarai's famous product y'know...", she replied while chewing away.

Internally I thought, so this is a day as usual, huh. She, chewing on sweet dried potatoes...oh wait. I forgot that the other day she took a little longer than usual with looking through the budget approval that I handed to her for her viewing before the submission deadline. She was really meticulous with it, which is unusual, meaning that the three of us left together later than usual, too. Now I get the picture: she definitely slid something into some category somewhere for her supplies.

"Hey Yuzu", she called out before placing in the next piece into her mouth, "Later when Momo arrives, let us proceed to discuss about how to put that plan into action". She then opens her mouth to put in another piece of her snack.

"Eh what was that again?", I asked to be sure of what I had just heard.

She looked at me, making full eye contact for a brief second. She never does so - unless it is something of substance.

Remember the Moments, A Short Story (Part One)

β€œYeaaaaaaahssoooooon!” β€œYeaaaaaaahsssooooooon, I uh luuukin for you Yeaaaaaahson!” she was yelling in her charming Argentinian accent walking down the beach. I heard her of course, everyone could hear her, it was only a small island and we were the only people there. No workers, no fisherman, no people, no one but the six of us after a wild night in Isla de La Pasion, Mexico, just off the coast of Cozumel. I loved how she said my name, more than anything I had ever heard in the world my own name spoken out of her beautiful full lips was gorgeous and I loved it the most. It combined the word Yeah! Which you score after a goal or something exciting happens with the cool way black guys say Son, Yeahson, it was so perfect! But I didn’t go to where she was. I wanted that to be the last I ever heard from her. The last beautiful words from a beautiful woman, yeaaaaahsoooon she said more frantically now. Maybe I should go look for her. But I didn’t want it to end with me meeting back up with her and giving hugs and promising we would stay in touch, none of that shit. I wanted her sing song question to be the last words I ever heard from her.

Since I had been in Mexico I had been collecting memories. Remember this moment I told myself, remember driving down the ocean road on the scooter with her holding on tight. Remember driving to the beach, remember the laughter after the police let us go. Remember the hammocks over the ocean late at night, on a day when you had woken up halfway across the world. Remember everything. That’s what I kept telling myself. Her last words could always be with me. I remember when I lived in Australia I thought the same thing. Remember the moments. Remember the words. Her words to me in Australia were Du Hock Fina Ergon.

When I lived in Australia for a year there were many Swedish exchange students and all of them were beautiful, the men and the women. I ended up having three Swedish roommates after my American one left unexpectedly, one boy and two girls.

The girls both had Swedish boyfriends living close by but the beautiful one named Kristin and I still made love anyway. Often, she would go out with her boyfriend and they would drink and dance and I could hear her tell him he couldn't come in and that she would see him the next day. Then she would come to my room and shut the door behind her and turn and give that wry smile.

The sound of the door lock clicking even today excites something deep inside me and takes me back to

Ron was pointing Snape and said "you got a good look." Dumbledore stood drunkenly and roared at Ron because he was enraged by Ron's mouth words. Ron instinctively veiled his rock cakes. Hepzibah happily said "this is my friend James Potter." Harry felt that James was not remotely flat. James approached Harry and said "you might belong in Azkaban." Harry was glad. Dumbledore was trying to drown Mrs. Longbottom, alongside Hermione Granger, Harry's friend from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Dudley Dursley was playing with his Playstation but he knew that Harry had feelings for him. Horace, Draco Malfoy's best friend, decided to remain bearded. Bellatrix showed Snape her eyebrows and retreated. "Moving 'arry potter tonight." said him. Mundungus fletcher stole fang the boarhound, bellowing with sarcasm. A short story..

Okay, so I have written, or tried to write short stories over many years. I have never let anyone read them, and for good reason. Until a few days ago, when a friend who I hold dear to my heart had a look at one I recently wrote. It's never been my plan to release them into the wild, purely because I don't think they're up to much. But my friend says otherwise. So, here's the plan. I'll pop a story on here and ask if you can have a read and see if there is anything in it or if I should just quietly pack up my quill and ink (I know, I know). Right. Here goes. Deep breath, and...

My Sister

I’m not sure what I believed in when I was growing up. Β I hadn’t seen enough of the world to make any kind of personal choices about where my life was heading.Β  I had what anyone would describe as a normal upbringing.Β  I was influenced, as any child was that was fortunate to have them, by the actions of my parents. Β My father was a hard-working man who held down the same job as a car mechanic for his entire working life.Β  My mother looked after everything else that kept the household in order. Β We went on holidays every year. Β Mostly memorable, some disastrous, all brilliant. Β We had caravan holidays and camping trips.Β  As the years progressed, as we grew older, and as the prejudices of foreign countries made way for the all-inclusive package holidays, so our week stay in a caravan became two weeks in a hotel in France. Β In Majorca I got my first taste of unbearable heat. Β Prickly heat my mum called it.Β  I had to swim in the pool in my underpants and a t-shirt.

Mine, and pretty much everyone in certain parts of the UK’s existence in the 80’s and 90’s was like being in Stepford. Β Every neighbourhood was the same.Β  On a Friday for instance, the queue for the fish and chip shop would stretch as far as the end of the road.Β  Every single person in the street had fish and chips. Β On very special occasions, like birthdays, we would have a Chinese takeaway.Β  Even then it was the same every time. Β Chicken Chow Mein, egg fried rice and beef chop suey. Β Change was never a thought in those times.Β  Everyone was content with what they had.Β  Only as time progressed, and as the world became more accessible, so then did people’s perception of it.Β  Then, on one day in February 2007, my family's idyllic existence was reduced to dust.

For many years, I felt safe living in a bubble where nothing differed. Β Where the future was already written by fami

I got an AI to write a short story about Max Verstappen VS Lewis Hamilton about the 2021 season.

Cold-blooded Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen looked at the gold f1 car in his hands and felt angry.

He walked over to the window and reflected on his bad surroundings. He had always loved fast Yas Marina Circuit with its rabblesnatching, racid rich people. It was a place that encouraged his tendency to feel angry.

Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Lewis Hamilton. Lewis was a bold fast with hairy arms and grubby feet.

Max gulped. He glanced at his own reflection. He was a cold-blooded, mean, red bull drinker with tall arms and strong feet. His friends saw him as an ashamed, angry aggresive. Once, he had even jumped into a river and saved a greasy trophy.

But not even a cold-blooded person who had once jumped into a river and saved a greasy trophy, was prepared for what Lewis had in store today.

The sunny teased like driving lions, making Max unstable.

As Max stepped outside and Lewis came closer, he could see the uptight glint in his eye.

"I am here because I want the world championship," Lewis bellowed, in a brutal tone. He slammed his fist against Max's chest, with the force of 9967 snakes. "I frigging hate you, Max Verstappen."

Max looked back, even more unstable and still fingering the gold f1 car. "Lewis, I am champion of the world," he replied.

They looked at each other with jealous feelings, like two bumpy, beautiful badgers running at a very ruthless final race, which had classical music playing in the background and two clever uncles drinking to the beat.

Suddenly, Lewis lunged forward and tried to punch Max in the face. Quickly, Max grabbed the gold f1 car and brought it down on Lewis's skull.

Lewis's hairy arms trembled and his grubby feet wobbled. He looked surprised, his body raw like a gifted, green gun.

Then he let out an agonising groan and collapsed onto the ground. Moments later Lewis Hamilton was dead.

Max Verstappen went back inside and made himself a nice drink of red bull.

The short story of Sonny Roccosta--or why I will be making sure this little shit never sees the light of day in the world of football

THIS is Sonny Roccosta. Your run of the mill regen. Nothing too special, has a 4.5 star potential but probably won't turn out to be a stud. Nothing to see here.

But I hate him. Oh how I hate him with a fucking passion.

How did a player make his manager hate him more than AFC Wimbledon fans hate MK Don you ask? Well let me tell you.

Lets set the scene. It's the night before the Champions League final for OGC Nice, the biggest game the club has ever played in, against Barcelona. I call a team meeting, and the players file in solemnly one by one. Gouiri. Dolberg. Reine. The heart and souls of this club. They all take a seat, and the lights dim.

"I am so proud of everyone in this squad for making it this far. We set out as underdogs in this competition, nobody believed in us, but we made it to the finals. I know Barca are a tough opponent, but we've knocked out Real Madrid and Porto on our way, and we can take this final in Wembley to go down in history!"

The players look encouraged. A few nod in agreement. The atmosphere is heavy, but with a sense of encouragement. The players are ready.

Just when I'm satisfied with everyone, Sonny motherfucking Roccosta, a player that slipped into the first team squad on ACCIDENT because I signed him after his trial ran out with the team, pipes up:

"W-wow, that's quite a lot of pressure you're putting on us, I'm a bit shook now"

Every single player, staff and person with a pulse looks at this squeaky little shit from Saint-Laurent-du-Var, wondering how he got in here.

"I'm just not sure that's the way you want to motivate us before such a big game--" he continues before Gouiri slaps his little shit face and shuts him up.

So this is why I'm making sure it is my number one priority in life to make sure Sonny never sees the light of day in football. I'll sign him for the maximum number of years allowed, put every extension clause possible on it, and throw him down to train with the 16 year old shitstains until he is 37. I'll make it my personal mission to double his training and put him on strength focus so he lifts weights until his brittle little bones break from underneath him.

You've made a dangerous enemy here, Sonny Roccosta.

[TOMT] a collection of children’s short horror stories

I’m trying to remember the name of this collection of children’s short horror stories from my childhood. This book has to be from around the year 1995/98. I don’t believe it’s the infamous Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark because I remember the art style being very different. One of the short stories I vividly remember is a girl’s rambunctious and spoiled brother ruining her birthday party. I forget most of the details but at the end a monster appears at her window, it’s a big monster with a giant month and huge fang hanging out. It promises to take care of her brother if she just opens the window, the girl does and the monster eats her. Even anybody else remembers the name of the story or the collection it’s from, I’d really appreciate it.

Collection of Short Horror Stories

This book was from my highschool library, I read it sometime between 2016 to 2018. I believe the cover had a man with a rabbit's face on it. Unfortunately I only remember one story

This story is what the cover (and possibly the title?) was based on. A little girl loves Alice in Wonderland and starts having imaginary tea parties in the woods. She sees a man with the head of a white rabbit watching and following her. She has an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party where some mean girls bully her. The rabbit man kidnaps her and the girls, ties them with wires like puppets, and uses them to have his own tea party. They are found, and the main character is rescued, but the others died. It cuts to her in highschool (maybe just graduated?) The local teens use the scene of the crime as a hangout spot, and the rabbit man strikes again.

The girl who unknowingly bought juice for her 21st birthday.

The girl who bought juice for her 21st birthday...

Kind of a short story but here it is. I was running self checkout today when a girl called me over. She showed me her ID before scanning wine. Glancing at the ID, I see it’s her 21st birthday. She scans the wine & nothing pops up asking for ID. Upon giving a closer look, I see that it’s actually sparkling grape juice in a glass bottle (the kind you’d buy a kid on New Year’s Eve). I pretended to scan the ID, told her thank you & let her think she was really drinking alcohol for her 21st birthday. πŸ˜‚
