A list of puns related to "Battle of Bunker Hill"
I killed all the railroad and reached the synth but when I talk to them no option shows up and they only reply with βthanks for helpingβ and βwe will find a safe place after you goβ I want to reset them but the courser is dead what should I do?
I am stuck in the battle of bunker Hill. I get to the synths but it gives me no option to save them so I am forced to kill them. It then says I need to kill the courser, who is already dead. I have no saves I can reload so do I have to abandon this playthrough. TIA.
So I am playing the game and want to inform brotherhood of bunker hill( I have already informed railroad) but whenever I speak to elder maxon my character warns him but he just tells me to help proctor ingram and wont let me proceed ( I have libery reprimed quest half done)
Ok, most of my game my load order has been fine, but I'm now at the battle of bunker hill and oh boy is my game struggling. I'm on a Series S and I'm not sure if its the load order, or some of the mods, or what, but I cannot get through this mission without freezing or crashing. I honestly am half tempted to go vanilla just for this quest section, but the only problem is I will be severely overencumbered and lose a bunch of items and so on. Either way, I'm at least just trying to get through the next few missions to the end of the main story, then I'm not worried, but any help would be appreciated.

I did Inside Job with the Minutemen, but I want to keep the Railroad and BoS friendly. My plan for getting kicked out of the Institute was to betray the Courser and free the synths at the Battle of Bunker Hill. When I go to Desdemona to warn her about the Instituteβs plan at the Battle of Bunker Hill, she keeps asking me to side with the Railroad instead of the Minutemen and I can only warn her if I accept. After I accept, the quest βUnderground Undercoverβ starts. If I accept, can I still get the Minutemen ending and side with them for the final mission?
If i Inform both Railroad and Brotherhood. About the Battle will the Faction turn hostile on me if i kill members of said faction ?
I started the mission with Deacon as a companion. Because we're in fact in an undercover mission for the Railroad, I thought it made sense to bring him, maybe he would have some funny one-liners too. The mission starts, a railroad member and an institute synth are fighting each other... It would be stupid to kill the synth in front of the courser, and shooting railroad members feels wrong especially with Deacon besides me. I just watch them fight, which feels weird. Then we reach the heat of the battle with BoS soldiers everywhere. I'm still allied with the BoS so they don't shoot me either. Therefore all three factions just ignore me and Deacon as I walk past them, while BoS and Railroad are shooting at the courser. It's awkward. I'm considering killing the courser right at the start of the mission, kill all the synths in my way, while letting the BoS and the Railroad fight each other. How did you handle this quest from a roleplay pov, while allied with all factions?
OK...I am neutral with all factions going in.
I informed both RR and BoS about the Battle.
I meet the courser to start the Battle.
Nobody attacks me, which seems normal since I was neutral.
The Courser and I reach the Synths in the basement.
I use the reset codes on all 4, and they deactivate.
Then? Nothing. Courser didn't take them back to the Institute. Instead, he kept following me around as I went back to the surface.
I went outside the Walls, and eventually just killed the Courser since he kept following me around and shooting at BoS.
I went back to the basement, and the Synths were all still there, deactivated.
Nobody turned hostile towards me.
I go meet Father at CIT, and get the "disappointed/what happened" dialogue.
What happened, indeed? I wanted to send the Synths back and get the 500 caps and the praise from Father?
WTF? What did I do wrong?
Edit: Vanilla playthrough, first time playing the game. No mods. PS4.
Also, a lot of the dead bodies were floating stationary in mid-air all around BH.
After The Battle of Bunker Hill I was left with a couple corpses (all railroad I think) upon returning there. According to the wiki (Bunker_Hill#Bugs) this was to be expected and they won't despawn. Usually I'd just select them in the console and disable
them, like I did with others before (e. g. the former Covenant residents).
Unfortunately when I select one of the Bunker Hill corpses and try to disable it, I get a message like this: > Disable is being called on reference '' (000F484E) even though it has enable state parent '' (000F484B). This is not valid behavior and will be ignored.
If I then select the parent object with prid 000F484B
and disable that, all corpses disappear at once. At first glance this seems like a success, but now I don't know what else it disables besides the corpses I see.
Is this a safe way to get rid of the corpses or is it better to just drag them out of sight? I also tried to teleport them somewhere else via moveto player
, but they didn't move. Anything else I could try?
I'm playing the Steam version (v1.10.163.0.1) without mods and I'd like to keep it that way at least until I'm finished with the main story, since this is my first playthrough.
Update: The corpses are gone! Upon further investigation I found out that the "corpses" were still alive until the exact moment I arrived back in Bunker Hill for the first time after the battle, so the despawn timer started at that moment and not when the battle ended as I originally thought. They despawned like intended, they just started later than I thought. Thanks for the help everyone!
I have no mods that affect the battle in any way, and have tried fast traveling away. does anyone know a fix?
On PS4 FYI so no console commands.
TL;DR
If I piss Father off, the Battle of Bunker Hill quest wonβt finish properly. The settlers in Bunker Hill will be stuck cowering and the bodies wonβt despawn/go away. Any fix?
So, during the Battle of Bunker Hill, I originally intended to free the Synths. I went through with this and noticed that after killing the courser, a new step in the quest popped up saying βDecide the fate of the synthsβ or something like that. I didnβt pay much attention to it, and went to talk to Father. I pissed him off and that was that.
However, when I got back to Bunker Hill, there was still fighting. Whatβs worse is that after I had massacred everyone, all the Essential Characters were still cowering. Iβve loaded a previous save several times already before the battle started and tried different ways. The only way that it didnβt result in them constantly cowering was siding with the Institute/not getting on Fatherβs bad side.
Is there any way to fix this? I wanted to actually make a story for my character that made sense, but with that bug it makes it extremely annoying, especially since I intended on making Bunker Hill a Main Supplies Distributor to nearby settlements. If I have to, I will simply go to the Institute, kill a synth or two and then leave. It doesnβt fit with the story Iβm trying to do at all, but itβs the only way to stop the bug from happening and cleaning up all the bodies.
