A list of puns related to "Aubergine (London restaurant)"
Just wanting to support some local businesses! Personally Iβve had amazing experiences with Zenβza and Palomaβs Grill. The owners are So nice and I love chatting with them as much as I love their unreal food. Eating at Zenβza or Palomaβs feels like an experience / family get-together that you just donβt get with chains - hoping to find more places like these.

Anything that I have missed? Do you have better options?
My brother is coming to stay with me, and I want to take him somewhere fun to eat. Unfortunately he's vegan and I'm not, so Ive not really been to any vegan restaurants!
Preferably in South London, and relitavely cheap (since we're both students).
Any recommendations would be great!
Thanks :)

A while ago (in 2011) I had this meal in a Serbian restaurant, which is essentially a blend of three meats, connected to each other (not mixed!). I forgot its name and I couldn't find anything online; unfortunately, I'm also out of touch with the people I met at that restaurant.
Also, if you could recommend a Serbian restaurant in Greater London, I 'd be very grateful, preferably under 100quid for a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 kid aged 6).
Thanks!
PS: guys you really need a 'food' flair
Has anyone got any recommendations for Vietnamese restaurants (as similar to what you'd get in Vietnam as possible). I'm particularly interested in anywhere that does good pho, bun rieu, bun bo hue, bo la lot, thit nuong, banh mi (somewhere that actually does Vietnamese bread and not just a random baguette/roll). Location isn't a priority, but if it's West that's a bonus.
Thanks in advance.
Hey all. After not being able to return to Sri Lanka to visit family for a couple of years (partly due to covid and partly due to bad timing of holidays) I'm starting to miss the taste of real Sri Lankan food.
I've tried cooking based on some recipees I have but the ingredients don't taste quite right here. Or I'm doing something wrong. It feels like something's missing.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here knows of some nice restaurants here that make simple Sri Lankan food (not looking for high-end 5 star stuff).
It's been a while I last saw this question here - so here it goes again! Yes, with the cousin typo and all!
Please start your response with the place you're from
Iβm looking for new recs for limited or, better, no choice restaurants in London. Iβm not after tasting menu/Michelinesque recs (Clove club), not after just small menus (Bao), I want some proper, honest, barely a choice eateries. Relais de Venise is a good example of what Iβm talking about.
Hi all.
I had a table booked for my birthday this Friday for 12 people at a restaurant in Soho, however now we have had to update the number to 16, the restaurant have no said they are un able to service us at that time.
Has anyone had any good experiences with large table bookings at restaurants near Soho or within a mile of.
Thanks!
Looking for recommendations from fellow vegans. Ideally restaurants that are only vegan or vegetarian.
Would love to support some local businesses with some sit-down dining if the option is available anywhere!
Sorry if this post isnβt allowed, there didnβt seem to be anything in the wiki about restaurants, but Iβll take it down if itβs not ok
Iβm taking a bloke I really like out for dinner on Sunday and I want to impress him. Problem is heβs a bit of a foodie and Iβm just learning. Anyone got any new or interesting food suggestion for central or east London? He took me to ikoyi in St James last time, weβve been to Turnips in Borough market and a posh French place I canβt remember the name of in a park in Bermondsey. Japanese food is out as his ex was Japanese so I canβt hope to compete there! Iβd appreciate any help at making me look cooler than I actually
Edit: thanks for all the recommendations everyone! Iβm not sure where to begin but hopefully Iβll get to use a few of them if it goes well!
I get it in places like the US where waiters depend on tips to make minimum wage (which sucks in itself but anyway).
But here in the UK, especially in London, all waiters should be earning a minimum wage at least, and for restaurants to include a 12.5% tip on all bills automatically is just so cheeky. Why do they do this? I donβt want to be that customer that asks to have the tip removed (especially cause I never carry cash to leave smaller tips anyway), but thereβs been many times where I felt that it simply wasnβt deserved.
Originally booked a long weekend to coincide with the Fugees concert, but then they cancelled. Sighβ¦
I always like trying out the best restaurants a city is known for, but the online guides seem to be all over the place.
Looking for βquintessential Londonβ brunch and dinner options.
TIA!
This usually just means there's a flower wall with a neon sign that says "boss babe", a monstera and some kind of theatrical cocktail.
