Hi, I'm scheduled for outpatient surgery at Greenville Memorial Hospital (Prisma Health system) later this month. Does anybody know if they do COVID tests on surgery patients?
I know other hospitals schedule a PCR test for a few days before surgery, but they haven't mentioned anything and my doctor's office couldn't give me an answer. Thanks!

My employer changed our health insurance benefits on 1/1 from Kaiser to Anthem. I am due to have a baby next month so this is a terrible time to have to switch hospitals and doctors.
I have already met with Sutter and we cannot move forward together because of medical reasons which is a huge disappointment.
I’m curious to hear about experiences with labor & delivery at Providence (Memorial) hospital in the last few years. I’ve read mixed reviews online about the hospital in general but the care I’ll be needing is fairly specific.

If you are uninsured, don’t go to SMH. I was in the ER for 6 hours due to Covid a few months ago. I’ve been in hospitals uninsured before and while not ideal, I’ve always been given a fair payment plan I can work with. Not SMH.
They give you 2 options. 1.) Take a 60% discount and pay the remainder within 30 days (which in my case was $6600).
Or
2.) Get sent to collections for the full amount ($16,700).
After speaking with the financial aid rep,I found they will not budge and will not work with you even if you put forth the effort and ask for a reasonable payment plan. I don’t find 30 days to pay $6,600 reasonable, but that’s one mans opinion. Seek another health care company if you’re without insurance.
Hello guys, my aunt was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer, and I will be traveling to Mumbai to the Tata Memorial Hospital this month to treat her. Because the treatment is time demanding (can take a month? appreciate your experiences), I was thinking to rent a place-house/apartment for two people (me and my cousin), (preferably cheaper ) for a month, so we can save some money not staying at hotels.
Do you guys know any online house renting sites/apps/ local contact so I can arrange beforehand?
I will be traveling from Barishal, Bangladesh.

I was disappointed with the large number of people protesting the vaccine mandate. Interestingly enough, I didn't see protesters at Highland Hospital.
I really want to ask them whether they believe in their freedom of choice and when they say yes ask them if they think the hospital (administration) should have freedom of choice.
While swimming at Baby Beach in Lahaina our father had a pulmonary embolism and became unresponsive. We managed to pull him out and get his heart going again but currently the prognosis is not great. He has been intubated at Maui Memorial Hospital for the past 3 days.
We were planning to fly out on Wednesday, but now we’re obviously going to stay here as long as we need to. We are trying to find a place to stay after our Airbnb ends on Wednesday, which is especially difficult with the upcoming holidays. We are 7 adults and 1 infant.
We’re trying everything we can think of at the moment, hence why I’m posting here. If anyone could possibly help us find a place to stay we would be extremely grateful.
