A list of puns related to "Ashley Wagner"
Did anyone else see Ashley Wagnerβs story on IG and Facebook today?
Ashley called out Nancy Kerrigan for failing to honor contracts and pay skaters. Nancy and her agent husband put together something called the Aurora Games in 2019, which was billed as a celebration of womenβs athletics. They contracted with many athletes to perform (including Ashley and Alysa Liu).
Today, Ashley said that they never paid her (which she said was annoying and wrong, but not the biggest problem). The biggest problem was that some skaters (she never said Liuβs name) were also not paid - which is especially bad because they needed that money for training. AND that skaters took time off of training to attend the event.
She called on Kerrigan (she didnβt say her name, but made it very clear who she was taking about) to honor the commitments made and pay the athletes. She also mentioned that MANY connected to the event never got paid.
I applaud her SO MUCH for speaking out against this and hope it brings some attention to this issue so that it gets corrected.
Go Ashley!!!
So I know that this happened a couple of cycles ago, but why was everyone so furious when Ashley Wagner made the Olympic team but so much happier when Adam Rippon made it considering that they both qualified under the same exception? It especially doesn't make sense given the fact that Ashley placed second among the three American ladies while Adam Rippon placed behind both Nathan and Vincent? Not trying to cause any arguments just genuinely curious about this.
Hi all, I hope this is okay to post here. I was just watching Ashley Wagnerβs Instagram stories and she mentioned a Twitter troll signed up for her skate and sculpt class and she immediately refunded him (good for her). Iβm wondering if anyone knows who she is referring to?
I know this is a totally random question, but I'm having some winter break boredom and have thought about this for some time. At WC 2016, Ashley needed 150.70 points to win, and she scored 142.23 points to get the silver. In her FS, she underrotated two triples, stepped out of one of those, and had an unclear edge called on her 3Lz. With these errors in mind, it seems that a totally clean FS would've gotten her very close to, if not past what she needed to win. Whether or not she deserved to aside, do y'all think she would've won if clean?
I'm an Olympic medalist and three-time U.S. National champion figure skater for Team USA, Nike athlete, cat lover and coffee connoisseur based in Southern California. Keep up with her me Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram @ashwagner2010 as I run up to #PyeongChang2018!
