A list of puns related to "Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum"
With news that the Suns won't hold a Game 4 viewing party (which would have undoubtedly sold out) at the arena due to apparently a basketball tournament being held at that same time, I think it'd be a great idea if the Suns were able to work with the state and city authorities (whoever controls the Madhouse and the State Fairgrounds) to host a viewing party for Game 4 at the Madhouse at McDowell (Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum).
I think a game of this magnitude in a historic Finals run and season for this team, whether or not the series ends in Game 4, being held in a building that means so much to this team and to many fans who lived through the days when the Suns played at the Madhouse, would be a fantastic touch and a great way to also honor the past of this team.
I think it'd be a fantastic idea. Of course, there are logistical issues that do need to be worked out with this to make it possible, but I think it'd be awesome. Not sure anyone here has contacts with the team, but might be worth bringing up to see what happens.
Go Suns!
Assuming Tempe gets approved, Yotes still need a home until it's built. Veterans has fire code issues and probably more issues I can't find through googling, but it's also the best place to host a hockey team temporarily, that's not an AHL or College arena.
I wish I could provide screenshots but you know how brutal it is you canβt share screenshots.
Those episodes also take place in three different states in three different decades lol. Once in the background of Colorado State University when heβs on the football field. The second is in the background when he is at the University of Tennessee talking with Kelsey Grammarβs character in an overpass, where that is actually one of Hofstra Universityβs unispans. The third and final one is when he goes to work for Baylor in Texas, as the building and interior of it is used as the hospital.
Hi Islanders fans! We are from Slovakia and two years ago we visited New York for the very first time. One of the many reasons why visiting NY (apart from visiting many sightseeing places) were also sporting events:
- in NY area there are 3 major hockey teams that one can attend and so we did (Devils, Rangers, Isles, we also managed to get to a Knicks game and would have gone to MLB games as well but there were none at that time of the year if I remember correctly), but the main thing was to see the NHL games;
- we wanted to attend a hockey game at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum due to the fact that Nassau stadium has a rich history and was going to be replaced by a new arena. We almost never made it to the stadium due to rather strange connections, which would be a tremendous loss. Before this game we were at MSG which was rather quiet, one Rangers fan told us that they call Nassau Coliseum a mausoleum, but when we visited the the Old Barn we were amazed by the atmosphere created by the fans (you donβt hear it that well on TV), so we think a mausoleum was the other place (with all due respect to MSG, we also had a nice time there of course). The game between Leafs and Isles took place on the 13th November 2019 (final score TOR 4:5 NYI), it was just two years ago, Isles have just moved to the new UBS Arena, there is actually going to be a match between Leafs and Isles, so we wanted to shout out to you all and wish you luck. After the game we managed to meet an Islanders fan wearing βPalffyβ jersey, which immediately caught our attention seeing that we are from Slovakia. We exchanged a few words, learned the history of that βPalffyβ jersey which was hilarious. We also like that you try to bring European style of chanting into the games and also the fact that you have a team scarf (which is popular in our sports culture as well). Hope you are doing great buddy. Good luck in the new arena! May it be a new Fort Neverlose.
If anyone has any crowd videos from last nightβs series clinching win, would love to see them. LETS GO ISLANDERS!!
