Hi all!
I'm going on an expedition to film some scientists in the Arctic this February and was hoping for some advice on equipment management in those temperatures. I currently shoot on a GH5s and a Sony A7iii using an Atmos Ninja and a DJI RS2 gimbal. I've been thinking that I should get a couple V-mount batteries and run direct power connections to cameras and possibly the gimbal. Perhaps I can wear the V mount on a shoulder strap under my parka to keep it warm. Does anyone have experience with these cameras or the Ronin below -20C? All advice welcome!

Havent downloaded it yet, just saw the trailer... but anything involving a remote and cold polar area and slowly descending insanity , I'll always give a shot.Its a lower budget movie, but might be cool.I just wont have time to watch it any time soon, so I wanted to see if anyone has seen it (or might be interested in seeing it).
I go through EVERY new release, Hollywood budget to "backyard movies" (dont ask why lol) , so I will always update you guys with anything remotely interesting that's even slightly "Lovecraftian".
LMK if I should peep it.

I remember watching a movie when I was younger that was animated in a 2d style about a polar bear and a girl, I don't remember a lot of details other than the polar bear befriended the girl, and I'm pretty sure the tribe the girl was from didn't like that. I also remember that sometime near the end of the movie, I believe, the polar bear and the polar bear's friends went to stop a big black ship from reaching the girls tribe, I believe it was to protect the girl, but I'm not sure. whenever I Google for movies like this, I'm always recommended song of the sea or something similar to that, and I'm 100% sure that's not it, it had a slightly more realistic style while still being cartoony.

ARCTIC is a film about a man (Mads Mikkelsen) stranded in the Arctic. After an airplane crash, he must decide whether to remain in the relative safety of his makeshift camp or to embark on a deadly trek through the unknown in hopes of making it out alive. The film is co-written/directed by Joe Penna.

Does anyone have any recommendations for any type of camera that performs exceptionally well in temperatures around -45 Celsius . None of my current cameras can cope with the demand of the harsh temperature for more than 40 minutes. I live near the arctic circle where temperatures are average -32 currently and drop to -55 in January.
