A list of puns related to "Anti piracy measures in Somalia"
So this is NOT a post about promoting or not promoting piracy as it is illegal. However this is a post about why piracy exists. Let's face it, many of us have gotten things... less than legally before. Movie, music, games...etc. And yes some do piracy just because they are cheap, in which case, it is not a legit reason.
But more and more are turning to piracy because game devs choose to add anti-piracy measures that only seem to hurt the legit buyers of said games. Far Cry 6 is a great example of that. Reports are showing that the anti-piracy measures installed are actually affecting game performance. And many people are mad. Where as if the game is ever pirated, those users won't have a problem with performance.
This is why piracy gets worse. I totally understand wanting people to not steal your game. But so far every method has only been shown to hurt legal purchases more than it does the pirates. This is why I can't exactly feel bad for a company whos "losing out". Come up with a better method to stop pirates. I myself am so wary about buying any games with such measures because I don't need my system performance messed with. Hence I haven't bought a game in a long time now, I'd rather go without ever playing a game than have a measure that hurts me in general.
To note, I do believe that Indie companies truly do get hurt by piracy of course. Unlike big companies, these Indie guys aren't making millions off a game. Support Indie games. I also realize the battle of piracy will never end of course. It's a never-ending battle where when some new method is made, it's broken. And then another method is made....etc.

To clarify, I don't want to say really my view on everything. But I'll just say I am not innocent. We do what we have to regardless of why. My point has been in the last decade or so I've seen many gamers who normally but games start pirating because of the anti-piracy measures that screw them over. I do enjoy Serious Sam's method of anyone who had a pirated version had a giant scorpion that would spawn and was invisible and super fast. Thus making it impossible for you to play the game.
Just as Epic Battle Simulator had a "nuke" feature if you tried to play the game pirated. Nukes would go off and you could never straight up play.
Hello!
For a while now, I have owned GTA 4 on Steam. But recently after reinstalling the game and downgrading to 1.0.7.0, using THIS guide, I have experienced some issues with anti-piracy measures. This is despite me having xlive.dll in the game finals. My friend who has also downgraded his game is experiencing a similar issue. Does anyone know how to disable them? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
I have a ticket to the Dune IMAX preview tomorrow in Universal City. Iβve just been informed via email that they will be confiscating electronic devices before the show. They aint messin around.
I'll try to look for more traps, Keep tuned : )
There's this game called fly corp on multiple cracking sites.
When running the demo on steam it runs completely fine, however when running a cracked copy
the game is stuck to about 3 fps making it unplayable.
Lots of people have reported this problem and after searching on the first 5 cracking sites that have
the game there doesn't seem to be a working crack.
If you have a working crack please send it here ty
Hello everyone,
I want to share an idea that I've had for Yandere Simulator and see what you guys think of it!
In the final game, what if Fun Girl was used as an anti-piracy measure? She could stop people from playing the game outright if it's been downloaded illegally. She's already been used as a counter-measure against people who tried to summon Osana in-game before she was officially released, so why not apply that to anti-piracy as well?
Please let me know what you think of this idea, and feel free to leave any anti-piracy suggestions of your own. Let's make sure that Yandere Dev sees this :)
In the video he gives out a website link he setup to fuck with people that pirate his material, I compared it to mine and it's hilarious.
The new section on Injury Avoidance is also hilarious.
If anyone wants a great laugh, it's worth looking at the fake training book website he setup.
Digital Foundry's video experiments between console versions and the PC version with and without a crack. Performance was noticeably higher in the cracked PC version, which shows similar or better performance to those in the consoles.
The takeaway is simple, Capcom has sacrificed PC player experience in exchange for DRM mechanism insertion. They knowingly did this as the differences in performance are quite obvious. Incidentaly, they have provided a pathway for hackers to know where to look when cracking games, and incentives for players to actually acquire a cracked copy in order to have an improved experience.
PS: I am not, nor do I wish to discuss the moral implications of this, just pointing out logical consequences of Capcom's actions.
I'm looking forward to this game and will probably shell out $30 for it but I'm surprised it's not on rookies yet.
