A list of puns related to "Anti Müllerian hormone"
Over the 8 months I've been on this drug, I've gradually developed all this new fat and cellulite on my butt, hips, thighs, and back. I've made no other changes to my lifestyle. A quick google search reveals hundreds of similar testimonials. Plus, all of these women seem to have real trouble getting their original bodies back, even after years off the drug. It's complete bullshit that this drug doesn't cause weight gain or fluid retention. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this, because I'm at a crossroads. It helps my hair. But at what cost?
I know this has been discussed here, probably lots, as it seems to be a common issue, but I am seriously feeling messed up and hopeless right now. I just need some reassurance that things are going to go back to normal. I am 24, not on birth control, and have always had periods like clockwork. For like 7 years, I get my period on the exact day my period tracker tells me it will be and it lasts exactly 3 days. No exceptions. I take really good care of myself mentally and physically, and consider myself to be a mentally stable individual, so these hormone changes are really throwing me for a loop.
I got my first dose of pfizer in june. My period came about 10 days late which was surprising, but it wasnt heavier than usual and my hormones didn't seem to be irregular. After one messed up cycle it went back to normal. I wound up getting covid pretty bad in august and didn't get my second vaccine dose until the end of October.
On November 4 I woke up in a fit of RAGE. I was so irritable I could cry. Nothing could console me. I looked at my tracking app and low and behold, it was ovulation day. I have never felt so different while ovulating that I check my app. After ovulation day things seemed normal.
I got my period as expected on the 17. I was definitely more irritable than usual but it ended after 3 days, totally normal. Sweet, I thought. This dose didn't affect my period. I didn't bleed for 2 days after the first 3. Suddenly, I had horrible period cramps again, and started bleeding really heavily... after my period. This has been going on for nearly 10 days. My hormones seem to be getting more and more out of whack. I am barely functioning without crying and feel like I could explode in anger at the smallest things. I am so irritable it hurts. I keep arguing with the people in my life which is normally SO. RARE. I'm in a perpetual state of anger.
The bleeding isn't constant (warning, maybe TMI) so its not like, filling my panties, But its HEAVY spotting every time I wipe. Dark, thick blood with clots. Sometimes thick brown blood. My guts still feel like I'm on my period but it's not as bad as the pre-period cramping I normally have. I have never bled so much in my life. I feel disgusting and need to be studying for finals. I have 3 jobs. I feel so hopeless right now and all I want to do is lay in bed and cry.
Normally I have a very high libido and could have sex all the time. Since getting my second dose, the thought of sex repulses me.
I am not anti-v
... keep reading on reddit ➡I was diagnosed w/ PCOS a long time ago as a kid, and I’m not sure what my AMH levels were back then, or if they were even tested.
But, I recently did a ton of blood work to retest for PCOS and tests for a couple other things, in which they tested for AMH. I got the AMH results back, and they’re normal, actually, even on the low side of normal (5.17 ng/mL ((ref range 1.02-14.63)).
I looked into it, and it says people w/ PCOS have high levels of AMH. So, I’m very confused lol.
Is it even possible to have PCOS w/o high levels of AMH?
Just wondering if anyone has had blood tests for testosterone, SHBG / free androgen index whilst they are taking anti-androgens? I'm interested to know the actual effect they have- e.g. how much lower was your total testosterone? Did it raise your SHBG and if so, how much? How much lower was your free androgen index?
I am curious because I have managed to drastically reduce my free androgen index, to the extent that it is now low, by modestly lowering total T and hugely increasing SHBG. I did this with keto/IF, inositol and spearmint tea (not sure if the last 2 contributed, but may well have done). However, I have seen absolutely no improvement in hair loss and hirsutism. I am wondering just how low the free androgen index needs to be and if there are other factors that make spironolactone/other anti-androgens work?
Well no shit your body is fighting for survival, everything else gets wiped from the list of priorities.
But seriously, cold showers are pretty good. Increased metabolism, better immune system, better circulation, mood boost, and lastly and most importantly, TIGHTER AND CLEAR SKIN
I want to know the appropriate diagnostic method to use in order to detect persistent Müllerian duct syndrome in males with XY chromosomes? I’ve been seeing blood in my urine and when I checked it out by a hospital, they told me they didn’t find anything going on with my urine. I then scheduled a limited pelvic /abdomen ultrasound. Both were unremarkable, except for the pelvic, my postvoid residual was high (114cc). My question is, would a limited ultrasound be able to detect anything going on with my sex organs at all? Or does it have to be a Complete? Is it harder for lab techs to do ultrasounds on biological males with intersex conditions?
While checking up on a cyst, I found out later in the gyn's notes that I have a subseptate uterus. This has me kinda curious about whether things like this are more common in folks like us since our genetic instructions are kinda messed up already. I know we're prone to assorted pelvic problems (chronic pain and long periods here) but most of the discussion around Müllerian anomalies tends toward implications for fertility rather than day-to-day life and associations with other conditions.
If a species evolved to exhibit distinct colour characteristics in order to attract mates, similar to birds-of-paradise, could the colours being used also function as a way to ward off predators? Even if the species wasn't poisonous, would it not benefit from using Müllerian mimicry?

And post them in the subreddit, saying results 2-4 weeks after getting your 2nd shot.
The fact is, these conspiracy nut need to know that some sort of covid conspiracy exists.
I don't know if this is the right place, but I'm hoping that if it's not, someone can point me in the right direction.
A few weeks ago I got my blood hormone panel test back and the doctor was shocked at my AMH results. I say "shocked" because I had to fight to get this test and she said I was too young to need it. She was stammering at the appt where she gave me my results and was all around not very comforting or a great source of information. I have gotten most of my info from reading stuff online.
All of my other hormones are right smack in the middle of the "normal" range for my age, except that at 34 years old, I have a AMH of 0.14. I'm in early menopause and have some fun health complications to look forward to in life because of this.
I'm looking for my people, others with early menopause and very low AMH. I just want to know there's someone else out there. I'm feeling very alone.
ETA: *overwhelmed* Thank you! It's amazing how much better the search results are when you use the most recent terms! DOR and POI searches have opened up so much for me to read.
The DR I went to was not only the second opinion after my regular OBGYN dismissed me, but also the freaking fertility specialist in my area! I've been doing all my reading based on the outdated terms she gave me. The closest RE to me looks like the nearest major city so it's time to plan a trip! Thank you so much to everyone.
