A list of puns related to "Ancient Greek architecture"
You know, buildings like the Parthenon. Were the columns always marble white are were they painted?
yo, I've been looking for subs of cozy houses for a while but I couldn't find any. I'm also really into Greek and Roman architecture so I'd really appreciate if you could link me to a sub about it :))
If youβre familiar with the book, Iβm mainly just looking to fill in the gaps that the book doesnβt really cover.
For example, Iβm aware of the different orders (like Doric, Tuscan, Ionic, Corinthian, and composite) but I donβt know if the orders are only used to describe the pillars (I wouldnβt be surprised if thereβs a more accurate name for them) or if they extend to other parts.
Another example would be what kinds of foods would be customarily made and would the types of food eaten in a poor home versus a wealthy home versus a tavern/inn differ from each other.
Final example would be if thereβs aqueduct systems in the poleis (and drainage) and how would they work?
Edit: I donβt know how to change the flair. (Iβm on mobile.)
Women would be like, "you're a great guy, and I like you, but not romantically... um, what's the word for that?"
"(Weary sigh) you mean... platonically?"
"Yeah, that."
Hello, we are a group of students from Denmark who will be travelling to Athens, Greece on saturday. We will be staying for four days, and we are desperately trying to find any professor/expert/individual with knowledge of ancient green architecture, who is willing to conduct an interview.
A little info about us: We are from the gymnasium called "Γrestad Gymnasium" in Copenhagen, Denmark. We've been assigned to make a documentary about "The Golden Cut" as a main topic, and we decided to focus on ancient greek architecture in regards to that topic.
The last couple of days we have been trying to write emails to several people, universities and what not, but we haven't been able to get a respond nor an interview. Since one of the main criterias for our project, is to have at least two different interviews with an expert/professor/etc about our subject, we are desperately in need of help. If you know anyone who could qualify for our project and resides in Athens, please help us! It will be gladly appreciated!
Thank you for reading. We are all very excited to travel to Athens and we hope reddit might save us!
