Considering the fact that Balkan populations (besides Greece) have 40-70% Pre-Slavic Balkan admixture, how do you feel about the other half of your ancestors who lived in the regions your country is today. Do people in your country honour them, in some sort of way, like Greeks and Romanians, or simply don't care about them, like most of the South-Slavic populations.

I think it's connected to the fact that non-Slavic speaking populations weren't that affected by the newly-arrived Slavic cultures and still could hold on to their own. A similar thing happened after the Hellenization and Turkification of Anatolia, the ancient cultures like the Hittites (who were a world power) are nothing more than a culture of ruins.

A shame, the ancient peoples were quite badass and respected by the Romans. The Dacians, for example, were unlike other populations, never shown hand-cuffed in Roman art.
