A list of puns related to "An Imperfect Murder"
Hello everyone!
I need some guidance here. I rely so much on this forum.
Every time we speak to our JW family (the ones who still speak with us), we get the "it's an imperfect organization, filled with imperfect men." We don't buy that explanation!
I need some great responses to this one. We are trying to put something together for our JW family that will explain why we left the cult.
Another one that was said to us is: "Jesus came to divide" Luke 12:51
Any idea's would be appreciated.
Prophets are imperfect: A straw-man fallacy
Mormon belief teaches that prophets are imperfect. This is perfectly reasonable. I have never heard anyone teach that prophets are infallible. Human frailties and weakness are not the problem. The problem is much larger. The real issue is deception in their role as prophet, and falsehoods they teach as doctrine from God.
If prophets can and have taught serious false doctrine, then they are not a reliable source of truth. If they create false doctrines by teaching their own philosophies mingled with scripture, they are not true prophets.
Β· Were blacks "less valiant" in the pre-existence? The church now denies this belief, but it was taught as doctrine for decades. White Americans, especially those "born in the covenant" were pre-mortal superstars.
Β· Were people born with disabilities or born into extreme poverty and oppression less valiant in the pre-existence? Harold Lee taught this doctrine.
Β· Did God punish the descendants of Cain for millennia and even deny them the opportunity to be sealed in the temple? Did God teach prophets to be racists? Brigham Young taught God was the source of racism, and that it was his justice.
Β· Did God then rescind this punishment after thousands of years, just as it appeared that racism would no longer be tolerated in the U.S.?
Β· Do we believe that polygamy is required for exaltation? Young taught it is. Was it truly commanded of God? When Gordon Hinkley was publicly asked about polygamy he stated: βI condemn it, yes, as a practice, because I think it is not doctrinal.β At least one of them is deceptive or wrong.
Β· Was Joseph Smith just βimperfectβ when he secretly married the wives of men serving missions, or was he a wolf in sheep's clothing, amongst the unprotected sheep?
Β· Was it just normal human weakness when he coerced a 14-year-old into marrying him in secret?
Β· Would it be extraordinarily evil to blame God for such immoral behavior?
Β· Are temple ceremonies revealed by God, or copied from the Masons?
Β· Is Adam βGod the fatherβ, or was Brigham Young mistaken about God?
Β· Is βblood atonementβ a true doctrine? Then why donβt we kill the people Brigham Young taught needed to be killed, so they can be forgiven?
Β· Do Mormon prophets have the gift of discernment, or is this a dishonest claim of power?
If prophets could be wrong about issues as important as murder, adultery, and coerced marriage

A jury found him not guilty. He was declared insane and committed to an asylum.
Weird thing is, about 14 years later, he was out as a free man and living again in the family home.
The good news is my mum's grandad lived a long, happy, productive life and really pulled himself out of the poverty he was born into through his intellect and self education. His children and grandchildren had an upbringing completely incomparable to his own poverty blighted upbringing.
It all worked out ok in the end....!
As the title said. I think I saw the movie two years ago and it was pretty new.
The movie starts with a mayor (or was that a principal?) commiting suicide because of the leaks, and then the teachers data start to leak. An affair of some students with teachers get public, and some murders occur due to that. In the end, someone blames the four girl student friends that they are the hacker, and the whole town starts hunting them. They manage to save one of their friends from a rape (or did she saved herself?), and she finds a room with american flag that's filled with weapons. The girls arm themselves and go save their friend, who has been captured. They also somehow got red PVC coats.
Thank you far any answer!
Direct quote from one of my Uncles yesterday with which the other adults in the room agreed with. I can understand the appeal of religion, belonging to a community and believing in something greater than yourself, but I canβt help but feel this kind of mentality is just plain dumb. Plus the fact that it can be potentially dangerous to the future of our planet to go on having a large percentage of the population believe this.
Hello everyone, this is my first write up in this subreddit (actually my first write up on Reddit). I just wanted to share with you this case that I happened to discover some days ago and that sent me in a quite deep rabbit hole. I couldn't find any English source, only in Italian, that's why this write up is a lil bit long: i tried to summarize every aspect of the case and leave no detail out. Sorry for any typo or grammar error, English is not my first language π
THE BACKGROUND
We are in 1999. Francesca Moretti is a 26-year-old girl from Pesaro, whoΒ graduates in sociology and then moves to Rome, where she lives in the San Lorenzo district. Here she shares an apartment with Daniela Stuto, a psychology student, and Mirela Nistor, a waitress of Romanian origin. She works as a cooperator in the βCasilino 900β nomad camp, where she mainly takes care of Roma children, helping them with everything related to their education. During this working experience she's introduced to Graziano Halilovic, son of Vajro Halilovic (leader of the Roma community in the camp). The two fall in love, starting a very deep relationship, which leads them to develop the idea of ββgoing to live together elsewhere, precisely in Turin, where Graziano has relatives who can host them. There is only one problem: Graziano is already married to a Roma woman from the camp, Fatima, and he is the father of 5 children. Polygamy is tolerated in the Roma communities, but despite this Fatima, having learned of the relationship between the two, manages to obtain Francesca's phone number and calls the girl threatening her. Graziano, for his part, reassures Francesca, telling her that she has nothing to fear because as long as there is Vajro, who knew Francesca and was in favor of her engagement with his son, no one will ever harm her. Despite this, perhaps overwhelmed by doubts and fears, as well as by the responsibility of having to look after 5 children and being the designated heir of his father Vajro, Graziano postpones his departure several times, so much that Francesca resigns herself to returning to live in Pesaro with her mother. On February 21, 2000, Vajro Halilovic dies of a heart attack.
THE DEATH
Francesca had started to feel bad on February 18th, 2000, accusing a strong back pain, so strong that she was blocked in bed and couldn't move her leg. Her doctor diagnoses her with lumbosciatica, prescribing painkillers and anti-inflammatories. After an initial improvement, the g

I want to share it here for feedback. It is political in nature, but I'm not here to argue the underlying politics and I really hope for feedback from people who don't agree with me politically, as I really want to understand this from a viewpoint outside my own mind.
So I've been going through an awakening that is a mirror image of Trump's. But where he is amassing power, money and influence of the masses, I am amassing knowledge, spirituality and Love, and in so doing, I am not amassing influence, but rather people are more rapidly crossing my path bringing me knowledge that I need to continue. Every time I see signs that he should take a fall, he bounces back better, but I also get better, but in a different vein.
I'm a Progressive and I believe that no one should go without housing, education, healthcare and a living wage. I don't care if there are rich people, so long as there is no one living in poverty. I don't care what type of economic system it is, so long as we maintain our core freedoms. I am also vehemently against environmental destruction and think that it is an evil act against our Creator.
Obviously, I differ greatly from Trump.
With that, here is the article that I read. It's a good time to read it now: https://www.rawstory.com/2020/02/history-shows-trumps-house-of-cards-will-eventually-fall-and-reality-itself-with-get-the-last-word/
My question is, how is Trump able to have the luck that he has? Could it be that he was awakened, but since he inherited his fortune and was able to slide through life, his soul was never cleansed with the trials and tribulations that I've had? I've been through a lot in life and it's made me a better person. Is this what Trump is missing?
I found it appalling last night that Trump would award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh, a man who spent the last 30 years of his life spewing vitriol and hate towards people like me because we dare challenge his political views.
With that said, I would also like to state that I believe Trump has the power to be a transformational politician. He could heal the country if he wants, and could force legislation to pass that really does make our country great. While

That being said, the plot was kinda hare brained (tho a chill one time watch). I also found Sonam's love interest realllly creepy and was surprised they okayed that storyline.
All in all, i think the movie had great potential βΉοΈ
Fathers, is it sinful to make an imperfect act of contrition and would that make the Confession invalid?
Thank you.
