This post comes in relation to another one on this subreddit (it was taken down). The post I’m referring to depicted the sexual organs of gender dysphoric individuals after getting them mutilated or modifying them. The commenters were mostly disgusted and appalled, here is where I (and I think many of us) stand at.

That may be an appalling view for most of us, but, we need to really understand what’s going on behind the pictures at hand. We are talking about people mutilating themselves and destroying their ability to reproduce naturally.

These are not the actions of a human being that does not have real gender dysphoria. While we all agree gender dysphoria is a mental state of disorder that is statistically related to depression, anxiety, autism and schizophrenia, we can not deny these people’s actual bravery for destroying their prospects of creating a family as nature facilitates, while being mocked and ridiculed by nearly half of society, for the sake of personal identity.

This is not as cowardly and “aesthetic” as other body modifications, such as piercings or a plastic job. We are talking about an immensely serious state of mind that denies its body’s reality to such a degree, it is taking upon itself to stop it from reproducing naturally, for the sake of its mental health.

I would suggest the best thing one could act upon in this climate of division, is empathy. It is extremely weird and hard to put oneself in these people’s shoes, but these people are mostly the same with you. They haven’t committed a (violent) crime, they haven’t solicited people to follow their way of life (generally) and they have been getting treated as if they are not humans by a large crowd.

The LGBT movement’s -ambassadors and financiers- is not the spokesperson for them, many of them discard its efficacy at promoting inclusion for the same reason as us, because it actually creates a climate of extreme division. As each and every one of us starts de-tribalising, we’ll get to understand we have more in common with these people rather than with, let’s say a murderer or a child abuser or a thief or an adulterer.

These people (generally) do not intend to harm anyone, they just want to not be hated. Just think about it, which other mental illness patients get hated just because of their mental illness? The answer should be none, as long as they don’t act upon it in a harmful way. This way of thought breaks the narrative and makes it so they don’t have to be ashamed for

Sometime in the first decade of the 21st century, South Korea dedicated 1% of its GDP to fuel it’s arts and culture scene across the board — a fund of a staggering $1 billion. This meant it would fund universities, agencies and film studios in cash and low interest loans to further Korean culture. The main objective was to increase Korean influence across the world and hence project it as soft power.

The policy has been giving bumper harvests in form of critical acclaim and money. In the last year itself, South Korea brought in $85 BILLION as a result of this policy.

This can be seen everywhere. Parasite won the best picture at the Oscars in 2020. A Korean actor was nominated for best actor this year. K-pop is growing as a craze. K-drama is catching up.

They even have a quota system in Korean Cinema, where theaters are required to show a fixed number of Korean films and only after that imported movies.

This policy was thought to duplicate American and Japanese policies.

Japanese anime is all pervading today, and if you see any movie by a famous director, for example Hayao Miyazaki, Japanese culture is highlighted in every movie. Ditto with American soft power. Comics of Captain America, the novel The Hunt for red October, movie Argo are all examples of how USA pushes its cultural narrative.

Erosion of Indic culture from popular sphere

Trust-Busting

The defining policy of the Roosevelt decade was trust-busting, a policy of breaking up monopolies. For those who might not completely understand all of these terms, a monopoly is when big businesses eliminate all competition to stay on the top. They stayed on the top by forming a monopoly, pretty much organizing how business will deal with competition. For those with more imaginative minds, it was pretty much a shield used by businesses. As for trust-busting, it was essentially an initiative to break that shield using various policies. In general, much of Congress was worried what to do since a lot supporting monopolies, believing it was necessary to have consistent top-tier businesses always succeeding.

Roosevelt was, at first, not that much of a trust-buster, but agreed to implement the idea as politician bugged him about it. Even though he became an avid and active trust-buster, he still had some criticisms. For instance, when the Supreme Court ordered the break-up of Standard Oil, in an antitrust lawsuit begun under his administration and completed under Taft, Roosevelt said:

“I do not see what good can come from dissolving the Standard Oil Company into 40 separate companies, all of which will still remain really under the same control. What we should have is a much stricter government supervision of these great companies, but accompanying this supervision should be a recognition of the fact that great combinations have come to stay and we must do them scrupulous justice just as we exact scrupulous justice from them.”

Doing some "research" last night, more like paranoid fueled reading if I'm being honest. I noticed inconsistentency with several information sources from both the AKA (American kratom association's website) and a discrepancy with some small batch vendors. According to the AKA kratom is ONLY supposed to be between 0.5-1.5% mitragynine. How come I see vendors small batch vendors such as Bennis or Your leaf your life with %s of higher than 1.5%. Am I overthinking this at all?

Also other vendors such as mitraman and other small batch guys such as beleafer and denette's don't regularly post their labs. Does this risk things such as lead poisoning and other adulteration of their products? I am very very paranoid about these kind of things if you couldn't tell haha.

Honestly I love mitraman, YLYL and Benni's, I just really want to make sure I'm not poisoning myself or making myself sick.

The only reason why I'm asking about adulteration is a friend who worked at a headshop tested kratom one time (from a headshop mind you) and it came back with 5000 ppm on lead. I just want to ensure that small batch products are of the highest quality and even though you aren't regularly lab testing that I do not run the risk of getting me or my family or my friends ill with things such as lead poisoning or other contaminants.

Additionally, all the vendors mentioned above I use regularly and I likely won't stop using. I'm just asking as to whether I can be more Informed of the process that goes on behind the scenes to ensure that we are all getting a safe product that has near zero chance of causing problems down the road (regarding to health and wellness).

If it is possible to use more testing services and test through multiple labs the same product despite the extra price, I know that people would be perfectly willing to pay the extra money for the extra transparency and guarantee that the kratom they are getting is pure, low-lead, unadulterated, and a legitimate/safe product to be consuming.
