When I watched AFV as a kid, I never found it funny. Even today, its still not funny. I dont understand why people think a guy getting hit in the balls with a baseball bat is funny. I hate getting hit in the balls, it hurts lol.
Also, most of the videos are the same idea replayed multiple times over the years. And I bet most of the videos were just faked just to get on the tv show. Even if something funny did happen at a persons house, I bet it wasnt recorded and someone was like"LETS DO IT AGAIN BUT RECORD IT!! THIS WAY WE CAN BE ON AFV!!!!!!""""" Ughhh. Most of the videos never seemed natural.
And why were all the "winners" just babies shitting themselves? Thats not funny lol.
I bet they just made this tv show for them stay at home middle aged moms that have no life outside of their own 2 kids.
It was like a primitive version of what internet culture would become with the ability to share the most intimate moments of our lives with the world. It was so wholesome and was not yet corrupted.
Clip of a man and woman in their 50s or 60s dancing on a lifted stage area. They may have been alone on the stage. The filmer is kind of far back in the audience and you can see tables and chairs with other people sitting in them.
Lots of the back of peoples heads. The lighting is dim, but the stage is lit up.
I think the woman spins into the man’s arm, then he spins her back out with a bit too much ooomph, and she falls off of the stage. Classic AFHV.
The ceiling looks low and for some reason. I think it may have looked like they were on a cruise ship.
Why am I looking for this particular clip? I swear it was my aunt and uncle.
Unfortunately, I can’t remember who the host was at the time. I wonder if there’s any AFHV aficionados out there who might be able to help me.
I’m pretty darn sure I saw this clip before DVRs came out (ca. 1999) or I would have rewound and recorded it for sure. But I left a few years of “just in case” on there anyway.
