Alt Tab Puns

We updated the overlay today for the new version of the game and also included new features:

Animation smoothing

Now animations are smoothed out(interpolated) and not stepped, unlike in the default game. The effect of this can be seen on this video:

It works online, too, doesn't cause any desyncs, and can't do it by design of the game. The reason for this is because there is a logical, or you can call it business part of the game, where all the game logic lies(like framedata, if one player got hit or blocked a move and all that), and then there's the visible part of the game, which doesn't affect gameplay. The interpolation only changes visible part of the game(the character models). For all the logical part of the game cares, you can completely remove the visible characters from the world and play just fine offline and online.

The video is 120 FPS and the game is slowed down to show the effect clearer. Even considering you can see that in the version with interpolation(the bottom one) there are animation poses in-between, compared to other 2 versions, it doesn't really show how smooth it actually is compared to the default game when you actually run it at 300 FPS and see it with your own eyes.

Now there's ability to:

• Set any resolution.

• Change between main and backup resolution with Alt+Enter keys. This allows you to safer "Alt-tab" out of the game, it's a workaround around the freezes and crashes that happen when you switch away from the game using Alt-Tab keys while playing in true fullscreen(when you play the game without any mods and it still crashes and freezes).

• Change resolution scale. This feature was added to be able to set your desired resolution scale at any time after the game sets it to 75 after it crashes or freezes randomly.

• Change field of view. Useful for people with different than 16:9 monitors to adjust the FoV to their liking.

Showing [overlay] nametag

Last but not least, we changed when the [overlay] tag shows.

• Overlay now only shows [overlay] nametag if you enable the "Enable the nametag features" checkbox in the top left corner.

• To enable the framedata or throw tech overlay, you need to check the "Enable the nametag features" checkbox in the top left corner:

Microsoft recently released 22526.1000 for Windows 11 Preview, and added a new ALT+TAB screen Windowed. This was only for "some Insiders" and here is the way for manually enabling for all Insiders.

1. Download Vivetool
2. Extract it in Windows \ System32 folder
3. Run CMD as Administrator
4. Copy and paste these commands:

vivetool addconfig 36226836 2

5. Restart your PC/VM
   After rebooting, it should work now.

Bei meinem Win10 Laptop kann ich alt+tab nutzen um zwischen verschiedenen Fenstern zu wechseln, auch wenn eines oder mehrere im Vollbild sind (etwa YT-Videos). Auf meinem PC geht das bei WIN10 nicht, Videos im Vollbild werden (fast!) immer in der übersicht ignoriert. Kann man das Problem irgendwie beheben/ist das eine Einstellung die man ändern kann?

Do you guys know how to fix my game from doing THIS. So when i am In a rust game and everytime I alt tab I can't get back into rust It always crashes, always. I tried to have the game on windowed full-screen it doesn't help.

Whenever I alt-tab from PR the game automatically just shuts itself down/ Any fix for this buds?

The most recent Linus Media Short Circuit had a split keyboard with a rotary encoder that among other things worked with the windows alt+tab where if you hold tab it keeps a view of all applications open. I really liked that feature so I spent the evening adding that to my quefrency and though others might like the code to add this to their QMK board with rotary encoders.

I thought others might want to use this code so i'm posting it here in case others want to add this feature also.

Here is the code to create the timers needed to hold alt or shift while letting go of tab.

I've been trying to google this question but I can't find anything, is this a known issue that can't be resolved?

How can I swap command tab with alt tab?

I installed AltTab, and would like to replace the macOS command tab. Can I swap place with it does swap the shortcuts with each other?

My pc crashed a while back and after I wiped it and installed lol again I have this issue where the game randomly seems darker and feels slower. It changes back to normal when I alt/tab, but can change back if I alt/tab again.

Any suggestions?

I already ran a repair and also tried re installing it. Neither one helped.

I think there is an option to display only current workspace applications in alt+tab menu in gnome(maybe only on fedora, im not sure). Is there a way to enable this in pop-os?

I know that for a lot of you the new one is an upgrade, but I don't know if I was way too accustomed to the old one or I'm just a visual person but, I will like to have it back, if there's way. Thank you.

Im reading some messages and complains about alt-tab can get you banned or send to orbit, im writing this for someone who got an error can write about it below and help other Pc Players to avoid been banned.

Did anyone experience something like that?

EDIT 1: Yes, DMG Confirmed alt-tab on PvP/Gambit will cause the error that can lead to an account restiction for matchmaking activities. But seems there are no Perma Bans for Alt-tab

Why is it that when I click Alt+tab to switch to the "previous" app / window, it switches me to the most recent app? If I have multiple file manager instances for example and a browser open, and I click Alt+Tab, it switches me between the browser and the file manager, regardless if the previous app was another instance of the file manager. This works on every single other DE I've tied and Windows. Anyway to "fix it"?

since switching to windows 11 a few months ago i am constantly bothered by the alt tab blurry background and the lack of ability to move my taskbar to the side of the screen. ive had it there for years and now being forced to have it on the bottom is disorienting.

is there any word on if/when they will expand customization to let us go back to how it used to be?

Every once in awhile, if I alt tab from the launcher after I enter my log-in credentials the Play button in the bottom right with grey out. Anyone else ever have this issue? It's relatively inconsequential, but rather annoying.

So I have this problem with CSGO. I have two monitors and I play on my left one. But every time I make a slightly fast movement right, it will take my mouse out of game and alt tab me to my wallpaper. I have died countless times to this and I don't know how to stop it from happening. Anyone have any tips?

Looks like Edge now allows you to alt tab between tabs on a browser, could this feature be brought into Brave. It would be huge benefit to the browser!
