All of a Sudden Peggy Puns

I know Peggy’s situation was a little different, but man i just noticed this scene & it ripped my heart out. Such a heavy, but simple, description of how this grief feels to me. Tears were building as I heard Peggy say that. Ugh. The sound quality is crazy immersive. Never heard anything like it. How do they do that 3D sound space ?

Edit: to everyone asking which movie, you can hear it on lots of things. Apparently it’s something called spacial audio. Also heard it on episode 6 of Apple TV’s The Morning Show at 12 mins 15 seconds in. You hear the guitars from way off. I don’t know if this is only on the iPhone 11 but it sounds amazing.

The video game franchise “LEGO Star Wars” started to pop up again since I’ve been seeing people use the avatar icons from the game (saw this happening on discord). What caused this to happen?

I am reading through the Horus Heresy books in order. I am currently at Wolfsbane, and the same feeling I am having since I started the series: why does Chaos make Space Marines go from ultimate intellectual superiority to B-series villain stupidity? Is it a fault on the writers, or what?

I am very biased towards Chaos, as it was my army when I played 40K so many years ago. However, I am dissapointed on the Horus Heresy books. Many times, a bunch of loyalist are able to cut through endless scores of Chaos Space Marines with ease, to the point that it gets ridiculous. For example, I was very excited to read yesterday on Wolfsbane >!the fight between Leman Russ and a balls-to-deep-in-chaos Horus. Although Horus wins and beat Russ, to the point of run after him and be invulnerable to direct fire from bolters, lass cannons and volkites from space marines and gunships, he is not able to finish off the Wolf King!< . I was expecting that the whole tone of the Horus Heresy would be how much powerful was Chaos, and how hopeless was the defense of the Imperium, until the final fight between the Emperor and Horus. However, the general picture shows Horus and his forces losing most of the time, which seems detrimental to the dread of impending doom that they are suppose to bring with them. It seems that once they turn from the imperium, space marine lose their ability to aim properly and develop logical strategies.

Am I alone on this, or do you also share this view?

Just got notified that I have to still come to campus every day to set up and make lab videos and was sent a letter that I am an essential employee. I make $1300 a month doing this and the Prof get to stay at home. I'm not doing this next semester and neither should any other GAT. We are disposable.

I know we're all doing what we can to get some fresh air--but if you're out running can you stay the f*ck away from me on the sidewalk? Run in the bike lane or something. Was out last night and multiple times there'd be a jerk that comes by running definitely within 6feet and not even trying to divert themselves, huffing-and-puffing their infected breath all over leaving a coronavirus cloud for the rest of us to walk through. seriously f*ck off and be more considerate. I never saw you running around the neighborhood before anyway who are you trying to fool?

edit: truly fascinated by the amount of dum-dumbs who missed the entire point of this. Not that people are out--it's the lack of physical awareness in these strange times.

For me, it's been quite an adjustment and I'm struggling a little with never having my own space. Feel like the imagined stereotype of people living in a shared house is still very much that it's a fun extension of student life, people living a jolly with their friends by choice instead of with a partner etc. - not, as in some cases, living with people you don't know well just for proximity to work, or financial reasons!

Don't get fooled with those techniques.

Its like, all of a sudden the developers dont even know what they should be doing. So many CORE/BASIC things not even in the game since launch.

Then you have dumb shit like TTK changes, 3d spotting, assignments etc.

Its 2000-fucking-19, its basically a human right to have team balancing.

TL;DR: feels like after BF1, they fired everyone at DICE and hired people who barely know Battlefield.
