I'm going, and I need some help picking a list (or 2 or 3 or..) - I've played about 8 games I think, mainly with Imperials and Tau, so seems best to stick to those.
I've got a box of everything, inc. FW, but the most I have painted is Imperial and Tau. I even have 4 Tau drones (though I have never played them)

Missions:
- Dogfight
- The Chase
- Dogfight
- Subterranean Assault
- Sky fortress attack
Important points:
- 150pts
- Can have different list for each and every mission
- Can have different races for each mission
- Need to have an attacker AND defender list for each mission
- Need painted ground assets if mission / list dictates
I'm not insanely competitive, I'm going for the break and meeting people and getting some games in, but I'd still like to do well if I can! Tips and strategies for any of the listed missions also appreciated in conjunction with the lists.

Have any released their rule packs? I don't expect it ITC level but in terms of listbuilding formats etc.
Considering mission variety I was thinking something like an old school KT roster 50-100pts over the game size including upgrades then you pick for the mission i.e. mission 1 dogfight, mission 2 straggler, mission 3 troop landing.
Off topic: is it just me or are Xiphons about 2pts undercosted for their performance?
GW already confirmed a while ago that Necrons are coming over to Aeronautica (Link). Usually the factions come in 2’s. Imperium and Ork, Tau and second wave of Imperium, Space and Eldar. What I’m proposing is what if AdMech is the other faction? I could be very wrong but I makes sense from a lore perspective.
And before you say “we only have one flyer” in my mind, the Archaeopter is more of a Jack of all trades. There are better fighters and bombers out there, but the Archaeopter can be modified into either. Time will tell if my head cannon is correct.
And then going even further into speculation, what if for 10th edition they bring the new fliers to the main game? And the codex cover could be a Peteraxii (or heck, why not a flying named character model) flying in front of the new models.
Well I got it out there, how crazy do I sound?
Anyone know where to find a nice playmat for AI with a 2" hex grid? Not having much luck looking in the usual places.
