I originally proposed the trade with just Pierzynski and Kemp for Crisp and Hill. I figured it was a fairly low-risk trade, as it was a mediocre player and an underperforming star for two underperforming above average players. It seemed like a good trade as Crisp and Hill had higher potential upside, while he was hurting for a catcher. However, now that he's thrown Verlander for Iwakuma into the mix, I'm not so sure.
Just for additional information, it's a 14 team, H2H league. My team feels fairly balanced, and I'm not really hurting in any particular category, I just want to improve the overall quality of my team, if that makes any sense. So what do you guys think?
very easy decision for me, my favorite boss is tony gwynn. i don't play online much, but in about 10 games for me he hit 5 home runs (not lying!) and seemed to always get solid contact and a lot of extra-base hits. his power attributes seemed like they were at 125 for me! he's definitely someone to consider if you're looking for outfield help, in my opinion he could get a place on endgame teams. i had to sell him to get stubs to help my griffey collection, but when i get him again he's going immediately back on my team!

... keep reading on reddit β‘With the looming retirement of a few players this offseason, and the fact a lot of this status can change soon, I wanted to go though and find active players that were on each team's Super Bowl winning season.
Key:
(IR) - On Injury Reserve that season
(PS) - Were a practice squad player that season
Italics - Did not play for the team continuously (left and came back)
2005 Pittsburgh Steelers - 1 remaining player: Ben Roethlisberger
2008 Pittsburgh Steelers - 1 remaining player: Ben Roethlisberger
The Steelers' two victories are the longest you can go back and still find an active player still with the Steelers from these teams. Big Ben's time in the NFL appears to be coming to an end, but for now he is the one link left for the two Steeler's wins in the 2000's.
2009 New Orleans Saints - 1 remaining player: Malcolm Jenkins
Won in his rookie year, Jenkins played with the Saints until 2013, before leaving to the Eagles where he also won a ring. He returned in 2020 and after Bree's retirement, is the only remaining player from this team.
2010 Green Bay Packers - 2 remaining players: Aaron Rodgers, Mason Crosby
2012 Baltimore Ravens - 6 remaining players: Pernell McPhee, Josh Bynes, Jimmy Smith, Justin Tucker, Sam Koch, Anthony Levine (IR)
The Ravens have a shocking six players left from their 2012 season left, a tie with the 2014 Patriots but with an even longer time frame. Two players (Bynes and McPhee) did leave afterwards, but both returned in 2019 (Bynes left AGAIN and was brought back in 2021). Morgan Cox, who left in the offseason before the 2021 season was also on this team.
2013 Seattle Seahawks - 3 remaining players: Russel Wilson, Bobby Wagner, Benson Mayowa
Mayowa played only one year in Seattle before leaving, playing for a few other teams before returning in 2020.
2014 New England Patriots - 6 remaining players: Brandon Bolden, James White, Matthew Slater, Jamie Collins, Dont'a Hightower, Devin McCourty
Jamie Collins is unlucky, and missed two of the three Super Bowls the Patriots won last decade. Bolden also missed one, leaving to the Dolphins for one single year before returning in 2019, missing the 2018 season's Super Bowl win.
2015 Denver Broncos - 1 remaining player: Brandon McManus
This one is just kind of sad... the 2015 Broncos only have one player left from their Super Bowl run. Von Miller was on
This includes a ridiculous stretch of National League dominance from 1951-1979 where a black player either won the NL MVP or led the NL in bWAR every. single. year.
There might be some discussion about who is considered "black" here. I just picked every person I think would have been excluded from the Major Leagues before Jackie Robinson.
'47: First year of integration. Jackie Robinson wins Major League ROTY.
'48: Not much here really. There were four black players in MLB in 1948. Larry Doby, Jackie Robinson, and Roy Campanella all received MVP votes. Satchel Paige had the third best ERA+ for any major league pitcher who pitched in at least 21 games. He was 41.

Background
Czarface is a group consisting of DJ and producer 7L, Wu-Tangβs Inspectah Deck, and perpetually underappreciated rapper Esoteric. We canβt really dive into the history of Czarface without diving into the history of its members so letβs begin with 7L and Esoteric. Back in the early 90s, Esoteric was DJing for a college radio station that 7L happened to listen to. The set was so good that 7L, who was also DJing in the area, decided to reach out for a collaboration and thus the duo was born. Before they hit their final form, they teamed up with little known rapper MC Karma under the name God Complex. The subsequent singles they released were met with acclaim in the underground and already featured the zany bars and comic book references that would define their later work. Shortly after their first EP, they dropped the moniker God Complex and released their following projects simply as 7L and Esoteric. I could bore you with the details of every single and album release but I donβt think it would better your understanding of the group or the album weβre highlighting today so weβll move onto the illustrious Inspectah Deck.
As most of you probably know, Inspectah Deck is arguably Wu-Tang Clanβs most lyrically talented MC and is responsible for some of the most iconic verses in hip hop history; namely his verse on C.R.E.A.M. Heβs always been pretty understated; especially in comparison to some of the Wuβs most prominent members, but that hasnβt stopped him from garnering an extremely loyal fan base over the years. Itβs difficult to exaggerate the impact that he and the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan had on the world of music. I could talk forever about them but I donβt want to stray too far from the focus of this writeup so Iβll leave it at that.
Czarface officially came together back in 2013 for a one off project that was meant to be nothing more than some good music for the fans. The self-titled Czarface released to widespread critical acclaim so the group decided theyβd make another one and the rest is history.
Now last but not least we need to talk about Daniel Dumile AKA MF DOOM. D
... keep reading on reddit β‘I recently participated as the Aβs GM in the 2022 edition of the r/baseball Offseason Sim. Basically, 30 Redditors each take control of a team as their GM and simulate the offseason starting from MLB as things exist following the end of the World Series. We also have Redditors that serve as player agents as well as moderators to keep the sim (relatively) sane and logical.
Coming into the sim, I wanted the Aβs because I like to make a a lot of moves and I felt that the Aβs had gone as far with their current core as they could. I also lived for a time in the Bay Area, and have a lot of fond memories of the franchise. Way back in the day, I did the 2018 sim as the Aβs GM. The Aβs missed the playoffs in 2021, have a thin farm, were going to lose several significant contributors in FA, were barely under the $90M budget I was given by the moderators when the offseason began, and many of their most valuable players will be free agents soon. Given those factors, I felt the Aβs would be sellers, and the demand in the sim was strong enough that I ended up trading most of the current core. However, I also kept in mind that the Aβs have never tanked and have quite explicitly said that they do not feel that tanking is in their best interests.
I think the easiest way to describe my sim is to say that I did a full scale teardown and then rebuilt a team that will be competitive but not good in 2022. Below are the notable moves (there wereβ¦ a good bit more) I made, grouped into a βTeardownβ and a βRestockingβ section. The moves are all linked to the move in the sim, so that way you can read my justification as well as any commentary generated by the move. You can also look at my sheet, which has a lot more details about the Aβs franchise as I left it.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
So, I did lie in the title. I have not chosen impeached presidents, nor have I chosen any Confederate soldiers, or pro-slavery politicians from the Civil War Era. I also removed Nixon as a possible as he resigned.
Here are all of the Presidents of the United States, if the losing candidate won:

Rules:
Round one last 48 hours, rounds 2-finish will be 24 hours
Each player can only be used once. This made it extremely tough to pick teams for guys who were great on multiple teams
I will comment the matchups, upvote the team you think would win
Each team has a DH, as it makes the matchups easier to evaluate
All teams are on 3 man rotations
The matchups are based on the seeds I made, Iβll say what my rankings are after the bracket is done

Made all-time hometown rosters with original 30 NBA teams + 25 new teams to split populated areas and big teams (spreadsheet + map)
I used the top 969 players who have at least 10000 minutes played in their career.
Why 10000 minutes played? Because that's the lower standard set by Basketball-Reference to get on their ABA career leaderboard (15000 MP for NBA). I added George Mikan, because even though he hasn't played enough minutes, he's featured in All-Time ESPN NBARank and Bill Simmons Hall of Fame Pyramid.
I started off with the current 30 teams. To split up the Lakers and Clippers, I gave the Clippers their proposed Inglewood site.
As I looked at the map of player hometowns, I realized that there were:
Based off city population and arena size, I added 25 new teams.
I started off gathering hometowns due to this fantastic database by Reuben Fischer-Baum ([original article source here](https://deadspin.com/infographics-where-do-pro-basketball-players-come-from-5132615
... keep reading on reddit β‘Evaluating GMs is hard. Even evaluating just a single aspect of the job, in this case transactions with other teams, is extremely difficult. But, considering the unique space AJ Preller has carved out in the hearts and minds of baseball fans, it feels worth it to attempt the task.
We have to make some simplifying assumptions here. Mostly, we can't really know how much of a player's success has to do with their natural trajectory and talent vs how much has to do with the in-house resources of the team they work for. To that end, we must assume that players will follow an identical WAR trajectory no matter which team employs them.
To consider the impact of each trade, I essentially considered each player's "value account" to be open until the contract they were on during the trade ends, or would have ended if an extension was not signed. For example, if a player had five years until free agency and played all five after being traded, their value to the trade is the WAR they accumulated for those five years. If they were non-tendered and nobody picked them up after 3, their trade value stops accumulating then. If a player was extended (this is Wil Myers), I continued to count their value until their contract would've ended (for Myers, this is through the end of 2019, the amount of team control the Padres traded for). I think this is the fairest way of evaluating these trades, since a team can't know what anyone's going to do with the players down the road.
This is the first of a series of evaluations of AJ Preller's history as GM of the Padres, and it covers the beginning of his reign in August 2014 until the 2015 trade deadline. Each subsequent issue will hopefully cover another calendar year, until we arrive at the present. Anyway, here's the trades.
November 20, 2014: Padres acquire Kyle Bartsch from KCR for CF Reymond Fuentes
Neither of these players ever saw the majors; this trade may as well have never existed.
December 18, 2014: Padres acquire OF Matt Kemp and C Tim Federowicz for C Yasmani Grandal, SP Joe Wieland, and SP Zach Eflin
And this didn't stay boring very long. This is the blockbuster that introduced us to Preller the Coke-Fueled Trader. In terms of Padres acquisitions, Kemp would ultimately produce 1.9 fWAR over 5 seasons after the trade, with San Diego flipping him to Atlanta after just one season. Federowicz suffered an injury in spring training and never played a game in San Diego. In the meantime, Grandal would develop
