Tomorrow the State of Alabama ABC Board will hold it's once a year sale of allocated products. This is not the monthly sale of limited release products. The closest store is #53 in Madison. There are only eight stores participating. This is your chance to buy 15 year old Van Winkle for $139 plus other elusive products.

As much as I despise the ABC system here I have to admit there are some pretty good bargains of elusive bottles here.
Does anyone know why the ABC stores are closed so early on a random Thursday night? This must be the hardest out out of all 50 states to buy liquor…
I heard that newly passed ABC laws that go into effect this month enable consumers to order individual bottles instead of having to order a case; where/how does one do this?
Shelves have been getting emptier and emptier since just before Thanksgiving. I asked at the 5th street store last night and the cashier thinks they're having distribution issues? Can anyone shed anymore light on the situation? First the larceny was gone, now the bulliet. I picked up some elijah craig last night, but if this trend continues I'll be sipping Dickel before Valentine's day. Dark times indeed

The two near me feel sold out of the staples. No Jim or Jack remained in either. No regular rum left.

This time of year the liquor stores tend to run low on certain items. Any recommendations for ABC stores that still seem well stocked? I went to 3 in N Raleigh and saw lots of cleaned out shelves.
EDIT: Appreciate all the suggestions. I'm in N Raleigh and saw some stores that were pretty barren. Maybe the N Raleigh peeps are just a bunch of heavy holiday boozers! :-). I'll take a drive farther south to hit one of the recommended stores.
I feel like it's been 6 months since I was able to buy the booze I actually want to buy. Has anyone been keeping up with the news on this? Is this some political thing or something? How is it so hard to get alcohol on the shelves?

The stores will be open from 8:00 A.M. till 4:00 P.M. for today 12/24/2021 only and closed Christmas Day. They will resume regular hours on Monday.

Website listed an inventory of 6 Staggs. Get to the cashier only to find out 2 of the Staggs “…had broken seals and were poured out….” Sure, bud. Really appreciate the zero heads up about it, but I at least hope you enjoy the hefty kickback you earned!

So i live in virginia and for some reason only the government sanctioned abc stores are allowed to sell hard liquor like bourbon, whiskey, scotch etc. I've stolen beers and wine from the Safeway nearby a bunch of times and never really ran into any problems. this is different though, does anyone have any tips for shoplifting from one of these stores? im 20 btw
