Evolve is a garbage promotion (never check my post history) because of bad business decisions forced on the company by Vincent Kennedy McHitler. That's right, it's Vince's fault that an unrelated company has a bad owner

That's how far his evil goes. He's the Sauron to Gabe's Saruman.

What are your favourite bad economic decisions / booms and busts throughout history?

u/Uptons_BJs wrote a post about the infamous madlad Diocletian, and his mistaken belief that the death penalty would act as an effecting monetary policy tool.

That got me thinking, what are some other infamous economic decisions of the past? I'm just really fascinated in this topic, and would like more examples. I'm interested in anything to do with economic booms and busts, over-speculation, rampant hyperinflation etc...

My current list of dank economic moments:

Diocletian's Edict on Maximum Prices

Tulip madness of the middle ages

Hyperinflation of the Weimar republic

Dot com boom and bust

What are some notable economic failures of the past?

Does anyone else open an incognito tab to look something up that isn't nessesarly bad, but might be a question that goes against your moral principles? Do you think by me opening an incognito tab, I am ultimatly hiding my search history from my future self?

I am the only person who has acess to my computer and phone yet sometimes I catch myself opening an incognito tab to look something up that I dont want to see in my search history. Its almost as if I want to hide the fact that I looked up a certain question from my future self. Is this a subconscious effort to maintain moral discipline?

Anyone else do this or does this just sound wild?

Qanon father making bad business decisions not directly related to conspiracies? Bad decisions made from naivety or gullibility? I wish I could get involved and head off a big mistake, but it's best not to get involved. I'm thinking The Law of Attraction is involved. I overheard MLM mentioned.

This is not quite a get rich quick scheme, but he is overestimating a business opportunity and his own capabilities. I should also add that there was a bad hit to his business's income recently. There may be some desperation involved.

He came across an opportunity, through a friend of a friend whose professional credentials are that he is a tennis pro. They know a South American company that bottles special mineral water from volcanic soil including many organic and inorganic minerals good for aging, skin, fingernails, whatever. As it claims to provide natural health benefits it’s falls right into his thing about natural and new-age health. I found reports, however, that these chemicals might actually be related to cancer at worst but kidney stones at best with clogged arteries somewhere in the middle. I did some research and due diligence today he apparently has not. Apparently, this water has won awards for best taste and most healthy water in the world.

He has a decades-long career working in consumer goods retail account management. He’s been pretty successful. Although he has decades in retail, The thing is, he has no experience in retail grocery and it is very difficult and very expensive to enter these accounts. Shelf real estate is tight and profit margins are slim. Competitors and owners of that category are Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, and Danone brands such as Fiji, Aquafina, and Dasani. Really easy competition, right? I believe there are special regional wholesaler and distribution agreements for these things. I’ve seen the packaging. It’s awful and looks cheap.

I overheard a conference call my father had today. He’s telling the water bottler that he can get them into what started with Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, Sprouts. That led to major grocers like Kroger and Safeway being added to the plan. His plan kept on going to wholesalers and every other imaginable channel,……………including,…………….multilevel marketing! My palm literally just hit my face typing that last part.

All expectations for success were completely unrealistic. We are talking millions of $$$ in revenue in the first year. There was a discussion of equity stakes in the water company (God I hope he doesn’t plan on investing anything directly). He’s a believer in The Law of Attraction and The Secret, shhh. (I always add, β€œshhhh” after I say the name of the book for fun. It’s supposed to be a secret, right?) He was saying that if this water company wants the best they will have to pa

I wonder who would want to deal with all those damages if they had other less complicated options.

Edit 2: I am not asking if you would indulge the bad behavior of someone who doesn't want or try to heal but if you would be up for dealing with the inevitable damages (emotional and sexual).

I have made a decision, that instead of feeling bad about Iowa, I’ll be working even harder to push the word in NH, and I’m asking the same from you.

There is no donation goal, but I want 1,000,000 by February 11th, and the only way we’re hitting that is by working even harder. Not by tweeting, or complaining, we need to step up and get to these voters.

I know it’s been done over and over again, but we need to phonebank, we need to Caucus, we need to donate, and we need to spread Andrew Yang’s name across the nation.

I’m not asking you to just do one of these things, I’m asking you to do everything and not stop until Andrew Yang is in the office.

Texting is good, phonebanking is better.

Tweeting out Yang’s name is nice, talking face to face with your Community is nicer.

Feeling bad about a poor Iowa performance is understandable, donating 10$ to make sure it doesn’t happen again is phenomenal.

Give it every single god damn thing you have left, push until that man is giving the state of the union.
