The Operations and Logistics Squadron members are the pilots and crew members of Spectre Fleetβs ships and vehicles! The roles which operations and logistics members fill include manning the turret of a vanguard or hurricane, working together to crew a hammerhead or hercules, or transporting marines safely to their target and safely away on land or sky. We know our ships and vehicles in and out and do what we can to support the members of Spectre Fleetβs other Squadrons. If that sounds good check out the discord link below to join! If youβd rather be a fighter pilot, miner, or marine, we have squadrons focused on those roles as well so check it out either way!

Welp, this post is about 5 months late, but oh well.
I just wanted to briefly talk about the TECC class I took at Strategic Operations in San Diego back in August. For context, StOps is a DoD contractor who specializes is medical training, making their own moulage (they were the ones who designed the now ubiquitous cut suit iirc), and constructing pretty much any type environment for training. They have these resources due to being a Hollywood SFX business prior to 9/11.
Showed up for the first day at 0700. Started off with some basic paperwork and admin stuff. The instructors introduced themselves, gave their backgrounds (all were former Corpsmen, minus Doc Moloff, who's the former Commander for Special Forces Medical Training Company), and gave an overview of the course. All students except for me and one other guy were all either cops, firefighters, or paramedics. We were introduced to the MARCH concepts along with the administration of narcotics (if within your scope of practice). Between lessons we had hands on practice on realistic dummies. We covered everything from tourniquets, to wound packing, to needle decompression, to cricothyrotomies, just to name a few. I'm not going to go into the minutia detail, because frankly, it's not going to be helpful to this write up.
Second day started with a review of the 1st day's concepts, along with some other information that we didn't get to. We then moved onto the initial hands on portion, where we were split into groups and had to take care of one patient at a time. We had role players for all of these stations, screaming, cussing, bleeding, and all sorts of traumatic injuries you can imagine. Our performance was critiqued by the cadre and we were given feedback on how to improve. After lunch, we moved into the mass casualty scenarios, which really put your skills to the test under stress. I don't want to go into that too much in case someone decides to take ths class. The surprise nature of it is what makes it challenging. After the mass casualty scenarios, we came in, debriefed, and took our final exam.
I know this isn't a super detailed post, but I really just wanted to give a brief overview of the training. It's an absolutely phenomenal experience that teaches you a lot in a realistic-as-possible environment.
Also, if you're trained to use decompression needles, try to make sure you're carrying 10 gauge instead of 14. The 10s have a close to 0% clog rate while the 14s are sometimes close to 50% dep
