Thinking of going to Chester tomorrow - should we do it or go to Nottinghamshire instead? Deets below! [ENDING AT 6PM(GMT) I NEED TO BOOK TICKETS HAHA)
Hey You Lovely Redditor!!
I really wanted to go to Scotland or Wales but its looking like a bad month for both places with literally every coach and train costing an arm and leg, so instead of going there this week we will try somewhere else out, but im not sure and need YOUR help to decide haha.
there is a second choice tho, Nottingham? its also very pretty and has lots to see there, so im in two minds! we will visit both at some point, but for tomorrow, where should we go?

Chester is the second-largest settlement in Cheshire after Warrington. Chester is also the historic county town of the ceremonial county of Cheshire.

> Chester was founded as a "castrum" or Roman fort with the name Deva Victrix in the reign of the Emperor Vespasian in 79 AD. One of the main army camps in Roman Britain, Deva later became a major civilian settlement. In 689, King Γthelred of Mercia founded the Minster Church of West Mercia, which later became Chester's first cathedral, and the Angles extended and strengthened the walls to protect the city against the Danes. Chester was one of the last cities in England to fall to the Normans. William the Conqueror ordered the construction of a castle, to dominate the town and the nearby Welsh border. Chester was granted [city status](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_status_in_the_United_Kin
