10-man Standard Liège defeated Club Brugge thanks to a brace by Romanian midfielder Razvan Marin in his penultimate match for the club, as he will be leaving to Ajax next season. A controversial goal disallowed for Club Brugge will certainly be a talking point over the next few days.
Key players for Genk included league topscorer Mbwana Samatta (23 goals) and Ukranian midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi.
It's also Philippe Clement's first title as a manager.

Top 4, maybe challenge for the title if City faltered at all. Strong showing in Europe. Maybe win a trophy but the signs of progress last season and that carrying on into this would have been enough for me.

Win the league/fight City for the title. That was always the number one goal. Show that last season's CL run wasn't a fluke, was hoping for a QF/SF appearance.

A++ Stunning season. Frustrating that 97 motherfucking points wasn't enough to win the league, but City was insane the second half of the season. So proud that they pushed City to the absolute limit and the boys will be back next season. Also brought the Champions League back to Anfield so what's not to love!*

10/10 Been absolutely fantastic all season bar a period of a few draws in the middle of the season, almost every player has given their all for the entire season and to lose the league on such a high points tally, whilst disappointing, makes me proud that we pushed such a strong City team all the way AND are European Champions.

After Monday's loss to Metalist Kharkiv, Fc Alliance President Sergey Demchenko was incredibly unpleased with a supposedly biased standard of refereeing. In that match, Alliance had 2 men sent off and a penalty was also awarded to Metalist Kharkiv. He was so unpleased that he has now decided to disband the entire club and withdraw from the Persha Liga (2nd Division.) In a post match press conference, Demchenko graphically said,
"We once again saw today Ukrainian Football get raped. I can not call this officiating, f**k. Two reds, penalties, f**k. The referee heavily decided the game today. Now, I will decide something. We do not really want to remove the team after one match, f**k. But this is not football, this is the raping of Ukrainian Football, I repeat. They clearly want Metalist in the Premier league, so why even hold the first league? Maybe you should just expand the Premier League to 18 teams, or let them replace Minaj. Let them go there and Do not kill off the other teams. As president, I have to cut money off from my family to spend on a team and 40 other employees. Plus we also have 600 people paying and 5-6000 fans. We are an agarian business that has to invest our own funds, but they decide to bury us infront of our own viewers. The problems are:

Lack of game time, hence lack of experience and expertise consecutively lack of confidence on the ball, sence of fear on the players when they perform and keep doing mistakes, difficulty in receiving, mis-passes and losing the ball often leading to lack of ball control and low possession.

lack of patience's and depending more on long pases due to the reasons mentioned in the first point.

limited number of players (pool of players) in a particular position and hence less number of options for our national coach to select on the basis of Competitive merit.

Absolutely no or zero availability of player for number 9 (imagine 1.4 billion people, but not a single person capable), this can only be due to less opportunity.

Indian players playing a lot less than there foreign counterparts.
So what could be the solutions/ suggestions, here is mine:

let it be only one top tire league in the country like others, having two (ISL and I-league) at a time creates confusion and political and structural problems.

Increase number of teams in ISL to 18, with round robin method it corresponds to 34 matches per team in a season, also more teams meaning more players implies more players getting chance getting the right opportunity. And definitely an longer season to accommodate so many marches (typical 8-9 months will be good enough).

Also introduce 2nd and 3rd division of ISL with 18 teams each in each divisions along with promotion and relegation.

Introduce U23, U21, U19, U17 etc youth/development league under ISL with similar number of teams/clubs along with there corresponding 2nd and 3rd division and promotion & relegation in there respective league.
Why can't we add clubs like Aizawal, Churchill Brothers, Manvire Punjab, Real Kashmir, Gokulam Kerala directly into ISL to expand the league in a short amount of time? They are literally good clubs and can do much better, can we do it??
