A list of puns related to "2007 In Comics"
I have a vivid memory of reading a comic at my school library around 2006 or 2007. I remember it being somewhat disturbing material for a school library, but fascinating. I have never since been able to find it or remember the name.
What I can remember: It starts out about a young boy playing hide and seek, but realizing all his friends are gone and it is getting late. He laments that he is afraid his dad will beat him. Later you see him spending time with a female friend, in a tent or under the stars. You can tell they are close friends, but they seem certain they will not see each other again. Later still, the boy boards a ship for some reason. There are a variety of strange characters on board, including a pair of conjoined twins who are different in size. At some point the captain says "Red in the morning, sailor take warning". The ship ends up being sunk, and I'm pretty sure it (and the conjoined twins!) come apart in the process.
That's all I can remember. Sorry if it isn't enough to go off of, I have never been able to find it since but it was so striking I never forgot those scenes I described. Any help in finding it would be much appreciated.
edit: formatting edit again: Found it! It's called "Good-bye, Chunky Rice" by Craig Thompson. My memory was somewhat off, turns out the young boy and the character that goes on the ship are different characters, and several other details are different. Vivid book though.
Kendrick Nunn is the first player with 100 points in his first 5 career games since Kevin Durant in 2007-08 (113).
Durant was drafted 2nd overall in 2007. Nunn was undrafted.

What do you guys think? Does nunn have a shot at ROTY? Is he just on a hot streak? Is this Nunnsanity?
>The Cleveland Cavaliersβ Ira Newble recently wrote an open letter criticizing Chinaβs role in the Darfur genocide, urging fellow basketball players to pressure China to change its policy ahead of the 2008 Summer Olympics. βChina cannot be a legitimate host to the premier international event in the sporting world β the Summer Olympic Games β while it remains complicit in the terrible suffering and destruction that continues to this day,β the letter stated.
>James said he didnβt have enough information about the issue to take a stand. Mr. Jones wouldnβt comment. We can choose to take them at their word, of course β or we can follow the money. Jones has an endorsement contract with an up-and-coming Chinese shoe and apparel company. James has a $90 million deal with Nike, which has huge business interests in China. [β¦]

My opinion is, shouldn't he just taken the same stance he took back in 2007 and what others around the nba are doing rather throwing daryl morey underneath the bus?
Even though he suffered a torn ligament and loose bone fragment in the finger of his shooting hand in a February game, he chose to keep playing instead of getting surgery that would have kept him out 12 weeks.
