A list of puns related to "2 Deoxy D glucose"
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Monday released the first batch of anti-COVID drug 2-deoxy-D-glucose developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation.
The anti-Covid therapeutic application of the drug has been developed by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences, a leading laboratory of the DRDO, in collaboration with Dr. Reddy's Laboratories in Hyderabad. Earlier this month, the Drugs Controller General of India has approved the oral drug for emergency use as an adjunct therapy in moderate to severe coronavirus patients.
DRDO Chairman Dr. G Satheesh Reddy said that DRDO and Dr. Reddy's lab had gone through the complete trials and conducted trials across 30 hospitals and on a large number of patients.
The drug comes in powder form in a sachet, which is taken orally by dissolving it in water.
Clinical trial results have shown that this drug helps in the faster recovery of hospitalized patients and reduces supplemental oxygen dependence.
The DRDO, along with its industry partner DRL, Hyderabad, started clinical trials to test the safety and efficacy of the drug in Covid-19 patients.
In Phase-II trials conducted during May-October 2020, the drug was found to be safe in Covid patients and showed significant improvement in their recovery, the ministry statement said adding, Phase-II was conducted in six hospitals, and Phase IIb clinical trial was conducted at 11 hospitals all over the country
This drug was first investigated by Patanjali Research Institute back in March of 2020.
From the research article "The present in silico study supports the potential benefits of using 2-DG and its glucopyranose derivative as repurposed drugs/prodrugs for mitigating the novel COVID-19 infection.......further empirical studies on model systems and human clinical trials to ascertain effective dose-response are warranted and should be urgently initiated"
I don't want to make any speculations here I am merely publishing the facts, l learned from this article.
I can't find any published study by the DRDO on this clinical trial. Would they have cited Patanjali's research in their clinical trial paper? If someone can find the study published by DRDO, please post the link in the comment section.

Looks like a cool molecule. Increases BDNF, NGF, ARC, and FGF2. idk what ARC and FGF2 would do but I feel like they would help. ARC might improve synapses(?), while FGF2 might help cell growth.
2-DG also inhibits cancer selectively because of it's ability to be taken up by glucose transporters, which tumors have a greater amount of, yet when interacting with cells it inhibits cell growth.
Hello, Im 22 years and I might have oral dysplasia, Dr said me It can be oral dysplasia or just reactive
I Want to take Metfornin and 2-Deoxy-D-Glucose to prevent any cancer I will also into NAD, Sulfurophane , resveratrol
Do you any other drug that can prevent cancer ?
Any immunomodulator ?
Binder here
After a decently long hiatus I'm mainly fielding trade offers and looking at binders today. Most stuff is NM aside from the Holo Crystal Celebi (MP+/LP-), Neo Lugia (NM-), and a couple other smaller cards.
Nothing is for sale, trades only please.
Trade values based on recent eBay sales and TCGP.
Thanks!
I was recently diagnosed as pre-diabetic so I have been doing the keto diet for about 2 months now. This week and last week Iโve been alternating OMAD with keto and today I tested my blood sugar after eating a low-carb breakfast (2 egg omelette with cheese and kimchi and nuts). An hour after eating it was 102 mg/dl then two hours after it was 126 mg/dl. Is this normal? I mean it is within normal range but I always assumed the higher spike would be an hour after eating. Could stress play a factor too? During the second hour I was in a meeting that was pretty tense.
Exogenous d-ฮฒ-hydroxybutyrate lowers blood glucose in part by decreasing the availability of L-alanine for gluconeogenesis Adrian Soto-Mota, Nicholas G. Norwitz, Rhys D. Evans, Kieran Clarke First published: 16 November 2021 https://doi.org/10.1002/edm2.300 Funding information: Adrian Soto-Mota is funded by CONACYT and INCMSNZ. The KE drinks were provided by TdeltaS Ltd, Oxford. About Sections
Share on Abstract Background
Interventions that induce ketosis simultaneously lower blood glucose and the explanation for this phenomenon is unknown. Additionally, the glucose-lowering effect of acute ketosis is greater in people with type 2 diabetes (T2D). On the contrary, L-alanine is a gluconeogenic substrate secreted by skeletal muscle at higher levels in people with T2D and infusing of ketones lower circulating L-alanine blood levels. In this study, we sought to determine whether supplementation with L-alanine would attenuate the glucose-lowering effect of exogenous ketosis using a ketone ester (KE).
Methods
This crossover study involved 10 healthy human volunteers who fasted for 24 h prior to the ingestion of 25 g of d-ฮฒ-hydroxybutyrate (ฮฒHB) in the form of a KE drink (ฮGยฎ) on two separate visits. During one of the visits, participants additionally ingested 2 g of L-alanine to see whether L-alanine supplementation would attenuate the glucose-lowering effect of the KE drink. Blood L-alanine, L-glutamine, glucose, ฮฒHB, free fatty acids (FFA), lactate and C-peptide were measured for 120 min after ingestion of the KE, with or without L-alanine.
Findings
The KE drinks elevated blood ฮฒHB concentrations from negligible levels to 4.52 ยฑ 1.23 mmol/L, lowered glucose from 4.97 ยฑ SD 0.39 to 3.77 ยฑ SD 0.40 mmol/L, and lowered and L-alanine from 0.56 ยฑ SD 0.88 to 0.41 ยฑ SD 0.91 mmol/L. L-alanine in the KE drink elevated blood L-Alanine by 0.68 ยฑ SD 0.15 mmol/L, but had no significant effect on blood ฮฒHB, L-glutamine, FFA, lactate, nor C-peptide concentrations. By contrast, L-alanine supplementation significantly attenuated the ketosis-induced drop in glucose from 28% ยฑ SD 8% to 16% ยฑ SD 7% (p < .01).
Conclusions
The glucose-lowering effect of acutely elevated ฮฒHB is partially due to ฮฒHB decreasing L-alanine availability as a substrate for gluconeogenesis.

If so, how did you do it? I have gotten my levels back in the 120 fasting-180 after eating range, but it does not seem like my body is capable of the 70-100 range, I had it got that low once, but that's when I was sick and not eating. Can the 70-90 be achieved with low carb diet and exercise alone? Alternate day fasting is a little too extreme for me, Intermittent fasting is doable but very difficult.
I've been suspecting insulin issues due to my overactive bladder . I did the fasting insulin and ogtt test . I calculated my HOMA ir online using the fasting insulin and glucose levels . I did this at an independent lab because no docs are listening to me except my Dermatologist who said I may have PCOS . Should I be worried about these results ?
So I am newly diagnosed and my doctor has high expectations of getting me down too an A1C of 5. Something. I am 27 and my A1C is 9.9 so she wants me in practically perfect range. I am doing manual checks for my glucose monitoring and the supplies that are covered by insurance only allow me to check twice a day.
This seems tedious and isn't giving me a big picture when I am checking my fasting and only one of my meals. Have you asked your doctor for a monitor? Do they only prescribe them if your blood sugar is out of control? Are there down sides to having them?
Also i should add i am not insulin dependent.
Shall we discuss? ๐ถ
