https://ballotpedia.org/California_Proposition_12,Farm_Animal_Confinement_Initiative(2018)
It's primary sponsor is the Humane Society, here's their argument: hsus link
and here: prop 12 link
However, this initiative is opposed by Humane Farming Association, their argument is that this initiative makes things worse and/or is not enforceable, check it out here: hfa link
PETA also opposes: peta link
What's your take on this ballot initiative?
^-apologies ^if ^this ^is ^not ^appropriate ^content ^for ^this ^sub
Ohio has just started advertisements for and against an initiative that claims to lower drug prices, but there has been little said proof wise for or against the actual initiative that will be voted on this upcoming November. [Ballotpedia provided some good content](https://ballotpedia.org/Ohio_Drug_Price_Standards_Initiative_(2017) that helped clarify some things about the act (such as the sole known supporting group of the act being the AIDS Healthcare Foundation), but other data (such as how much will be spent or what has been raised by the opposition to the initiative) is not yet reported.
I'm currently undecided on the issue myself as it is still months away, but I was hoping that the issue could be clarified as to how it would actually impact prices, what this would mean for the VA, how Medicaid would be affected (as unlike Prop 61 it does not exclude Medicaid from the initiative), and what potential effects this would have if passed. So far it seems like a lot of the info distributed about this has been distributed about it currently have been ads in support of the act, or in opposition, with both seeming to play into the common themes of wellbeing, fear, and other cliche overused themes in political advertising.
Here is the state summary of the act that I was able to find, along with a history of California Proposition 61, and would like to hopefully understand the implications that it could have if passed, as well as what could happen if it fails.
I look forward to hearing the discussion on this issue.
