Make a Native Confederacy survive in Canada or the United States a POD around the 1740s

How large can It be? Ideally, I'd think something based on Tecumsehs planned Confederacy would be most intresting, or maybe the Iroquois.

In particular, what has to change for Natives to adapt a Capitalist society? Do they even need to do this to effectively resist European Encroachment?

Drafting 1740s stays

Hey, I'm trying to make my first 18th century stays, and would like to orient myself on this kind of style: https://collections.lacma.org/node/232498

I have been trying to buy Patterns of Fashion 5, because I know that it has a pattern for similar stays, but I simply can't find any copy for sale anywhere.Does anyone know of equally historically based recources for stays like that? Or, would anyone who has the book have the kindness in their heart to scan the pages about the stitched stays in blue silk damask from the Museum of Fine Arts Boston collection for me? (https://collections.mfa.org/objects/119877) I have figured out how to draft a basic shape, but I need guidance on the exact proportions of the pieces to each other and the stitching.

Just interesting: me and my mum and my maternal grandma are the only living relatives with my mt-dna that I can track from 1740s.

At some point I took a DNA test and was also really interested to find out my mt-DNA, as a pretty interesting type is quite common in my area. I also really loved my maternal great-grandma.

As the FamilyTree-Geni linking finally started working again, I proudly added our mt-DNA type there. And looking stuff over it did confirm my suspicion, that we have NO known living relatives that we share that mt-DNA with. My maternal line has had only 3 "sisters", 2 of them died before any kids and the third (in the 1740s) had only sons. So unfortunately, there is absolutely no-one we can inform of their supposed mt-DNA haplotype. On the bright side, this fact might help me discovering any new potential relatives and trace our line further back!

Finding a Jewish Convert to Christianity? - Germany, 1740s

Is there a way to find out more information about the origins of a Jewish convert to Christianity in the early to mid 1700s Germany?

I have an ancestor who was born in about 1723 in (probably) Frankenstein, Germany or the surrounding area, and worked in the salt industry in Bad DΓΌrkheim. He was born Jewish and is referred to in records prior to his conversion as "Simon of Frankenstein" (literally "SIMON genannt, von Frankenstein"). He took the name Friedrich Carl Christlieb in 1742 upon his baptism and married Anna Catherina Engel Bock, the recently widowed wife of a fellow salt-worker, several months later. It is implied that he converted primarily for advancement in his career in the salt industry. The couple had two children before immigrating to the US in 1765. A researcher travelled to Germany a while ago and pulled a bunch of records associated with the baptism. They've done a lot of work and they've been able to establish a lot about the family after 1742, I was impressed to come across their thorough website. However, prior to 1742 the trail is cold. I was wondering if there was anyway to attack this from the Jewish side of it? There was allegedly a Jewish man named Jacob living in Frankenstein at the right time to be related, and Friedrich Carl's eldest son was named Jacob, but I haven't seen any primary sources regarding his existence.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated!
