I know this is an oddball, but do any of you fine folks have any leads on 405 dies, brass, bullets? My grandfather handed down a pristine Winchester 1895 to my father and I’m trying to help him find reloading supplies as we only have 2 factory boxes of Hornady and would like to not shoot that as you can’t find it.

*This started as a comment I made on a previous post that I figured might be worth a post of it's own. Also added a little opinion rant at the bottom for anyone who wants to read it.

Here's what I would like to see for the future of The Hunter COTW -

First and foremost bug fixes and audio adjustments! Once they get those out of the way:

1. Add current species to other existing reserves: big cats/turkeys/geese/racoons on Layton Lakes, waterfowl/moose on SRP, lynx on Yukon and pheasants on Hirschfelden.
2. New species added to existing reserves: Grouse! I would love to see ruffed or blue grouse on Layton and maybe sage grouse on SRP, squirrels on the appropriate reserves, Snowshoe hare/Sitka blacktail/wolverine and spruce grouse on Yukon, and beavers! Hell they mess up enough of my tree stands as it is! At least actually add them to the game!
3. I'll second the suggestion on a new weapons DLC: Modern inline muzzle loader, Marlin 336 style lever action chambered in 35 Remington(compatible with the Argus and Hyperion scopes with blued or stainless variants), Winchester Model 1895 lever action .405 for Teddy!
4. Bird dogs: Need them bird hunting companions! Pointers for upland and Labradors for waterfowl with appropriate commands - When crouching and slow walking they can go into pointer mode and straighten tail once birds are close and a flushing command to flush them into flight. And of course labs for retrieving downed ducks and geese. Brings your harvest to you! Oh and a bonus - The ability to pet the doggos for more than 2 seconds at a time! 😊
5. More optics for firearms: Would love to see some more variation on rifle scopes. Or at the least different reticle variants of the existing scopes! I almost entirely avoid the lever actions because of the T style reticle and the thrashed look of the Helios scope. Looks almost rusty like it hasn't been cared for properly. A good hunter takes care of his gear.
6. Midwest farm country reserve: I'd love to see a reserve for the whitetail fanatics! Iowa/Wisconsin/Pennsylvania style farmland with tons of fields and tree lines. Species could include giant cornfed whitetails(of course), black bear, coyotes, bobcats, beaver, cottontail rabbits, turkey and pheasants.
7. Canoes: It would be really nice to have pay to build boathouses on the shores of larger bodies of water that give you access to canoes to paddle across lakes and rivers without having to hike entire shorelines. No ac

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. Picked up a Lee Loadmaster progressive press setup for 9mm and did a batch of 300 9mm. Worked great. Love the new hobby. I have a 458 socom upper that I'd like to make ammo for. Getting supplies was difficult with the low stock for everything but I got my hands on 100 starline nickel cases 200 cast .459 410gr pills. A pound of Lil gun powder with Winchester Magnum large pistol primers, was wondering if I do a 28-30gr load as per load sheets for a 405 gr projectile if I would be getting anything wrong, I know the nature of the beast is getting these fat boys to cycle properly. Any suggestions or advice would help immensely.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

While exploring around the market dimension, you come across a shop called the Artium Domus Aurea selling unique items that vary in style, technology and function.

Hoping some of you guys with much more knowledge on the subject can help ease my mind on something.

I have an Uberti 1885 high wall chambered in 45-70 and I have questions regarding chamber pressures. I was having trouble finding ammunition so my wife surprised me with 80 rounds of Underwood 430 grain gas checked hard cast +p. ... On the Underwood website they state it's fine in modern reproduction rifles. But to make sure I emailed them and they said it should be fine in my Uberti, but I insisted they tell me their expected chamber pressure. The cs rep said that specific load is 38,000 PSI. Uberti States the max for this rifle is 29,000 psi.

I have a feeling Uberti is being conservative and simply staying near SAAMI max to be extra safe. Uberti Also makes the high wall in .405 Winchester and even the Same action on a sporter rifle in 303 British, which is a much higher pressure round.

I don't think Underwood would risk damaging people's guns, but I'm hoping someone more familiar with the real world limits of the high wall design can advise if these 80 rounds are going to damage the action, I already know my shoulder isn't going to enjoy it lol
