A list of puns related to "Yoga Christmas"
I want to keep a practice going over the holidays so thought it might be good to find other yogis trying to do the same. Iβm looking forward to enjoying the holiday season but also know I need to keep my yoga close to me. I guess we would just post each day to say what works for us and what were able to do. Iβm so grateful for this practice and know how amazing I feel after even when Iβm reluctant to get on the mat. Iβm keen to make this supportive not competitive!
We started this a few days ago and it's been quite popular so I thought I would extend it to reddit!

I made a post two weeks ago at when I was about a week into my journey and I received overwhelming support. You guys are amazing and a huge part of the reason behind my motivation.
A couple things Iβve noticed -
Group fitness classes are super great at getting you to do things you didnβt think you could (and hate it while doing it but then feel amazing all day after)
Overeating heartburn is REAL. All my heartburn has just literally vanished. I used to get heartburn like 4-5 times a week when I was trying to sleep but since counting macros and measuring portions, I havenβt had a single tum.
The couple of times that I did eat junk, I FELT it. For HOURS and it was the most uncomfortable Iβve felt in a long time. It sickens me that my body was so used to it that it didnβt even phase me.
Chips are so empty. I have been limiting eating them for obvious reasons. But now when I reach for them and I measure them out, the portion is so sad looking considering how much it adds to my macros that it doesnβt even feel worth it.
So thatβs it. Iβm just starting and Iβm feeling really good about it. This community is honestly so amazing and uplifting as well and Iβm proud to be apart of it!
He would have just bought the same one again but it is unavailable.
Here is the old one.
I am hoping to upgrade him a little but don't want to accidently buy something that is actually less in line with his needs.
He has been doing yoga for decades and is pretty good at it I think, if that is relevant.
So far I think the Manuka Prolite might be a good replacement, but want to make sure I am not missing anything obvious.
Thanks!

Open to other suggestions as well π
He clearly enjoys it and after all the years of extreme achievements with his body, it's also good for his body.
My mom who does yoga with him says that it clearly bothers him that he's not perfect and bendy right away. He feels like he should achieve perfect poses. He's also struggling with yoga feeling good while doing it - he's so used to sports hurting and going extra far and pushing himself, that he doesn't understand the consept of yoga being relaxing and feeling good, aside from some harder poses. He's an engineer and very...technical minded, non-religious dude.
Long story short, i'm looking for a book that would help him wrap his head around yoga, in a not too hippy-dippy way. I read through the book suggestions in the FAQs, but it was hard to get an idea without having read the books myself. Having practiced for a good decade, so the books I've enjoyed are more advanced.
Any suggestions?
