Is there a staff yearbook for 2019?
I've been looking everywhere for it and still haven't managed to find it.
Obligatory “this happened a year ago”
It began like any other lunch period went. My friends and I were hanging out in a chemistry classroom, fooling around, being edgy and stuff. It began with one of them deciding to draw what he likes to call a “fagdrag” on the whiteboard with a stupid little speech bubble saying stupid shit. This is where the FU begins. Me, being the precious angel I am, naturally drew a tiny mouse next to it holding a gun to the dragon’s head with the Japanese symbol for death. We got a kick out of it and went on with eating our disgusting school lunches, leaving our magnum opus on the classroom whiteboard for all the world to see.
Fast forward to the next morning, I’m rudely disturbed in my Psych class by an announcement for me to head immediately to the front office. At this point, I’m used to heading to the office for stupid things I’ve done, such as distasteful jokes and class disturbance for relentless laughter, but this is a little different. I couldn’t recall anything that I could’ve possibly done to warrant this kind of official action, so I walked into the principal’s office with a little bit of worry.
I’m met with a furious principal and a printed picture of yesterday’s absolute masterpiece and work of art. Oof. She goes berserk on me about how a freshman was super disturbed by this horrific drawing and told her parents who then angrily complained to the school about insensitivity due to the recent school shootings and whatnot. She yelled at me about being clueless and things like “WHAT COULD HAVE POSSIBLY BEEN GOING THROUGH YOUR HEAD THAT MADE YOU THINK THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?!” and subsequently threw me in the On-Campus-Suspension room for the rest of the day. About 4 hours later she calls me back to her office and hits me with a withdrawal of all of my Senior activities, including graduation rehearsals, an awesome afternoon and picnic to the lake, and brunch at a super nice resort. I’m shocked at this turn of events, thinking that there’s no way that this could get worse. Oh yeah, she made me in charge of cleaning all the trash after each of the graduation rehearsal for my act of terrorism. Awesome. She promptly sent me back to the detention room.
