My name is Britty or Brittany or Brittle or whatever. I took a long leave of absence from Reddit and now I am eager to hop back on. I made many friends here at RAOA so of course this is the one I am running back to first. A lot has changed in the several years that I've been gone so I feel a little bit lost and confused already, but that's okay!
A lot has happened since I've been gone. I moved to the exact opposite corner of the country (from FL to WA.) I got a divorce. I got a new career as a travel agent (convinient timing there, COVID!) I also fell in love again and am now a first time mother to a newborn. I love trashy TV, anything thrilling, Steam, true crime, board games, and reading. I'm an all-around anti-social extrovert.
I'll be hosting my first contest back sometime this week so keep an eye out for that!

My delegate name is yakety_yak (if you are a nice fellow you can also call me Maik ;) ) and I come from Germany. My experiences in the topics of blockchains and cryptocurrencies date back to the early 2017s. Throughout the years I taught myself python and how to manage Linux cloud servers. Back in these times I had the pleasant unofficial task to teach more inexperienced people in that field (The Why?'s, How's? and What?'s of blockchains and cloud computing).
Since June 2019 I am an official voice actor, moderator and professional speaker, who learned out at the "Deutsche POP Akademie", which is an international academy for recreational skills and crafts. Therefore I am currently employing a sound engineer, with whom I plan to work on Youtube related projects and also professional projects regarding voice acting and voice overs.
My vision: If I ask around 100 people in the streets I would be lucky if atleast one or two people would know what a blockchain, consensus algorithm, or ARK is. And I want to change that! My vision is to provide a visual dictionary in English and German about these subjects. If the average Joe nowadays wants to learn about blockchains in general, he will most likely find material provided by other cryptocurrency projects that could maybe be in competition with ARK. This learning barrier affects almost every altcoin on the market and I want to eliminate this for ARK because I think that ARK should be first on peoples' minds for DPoS.
If ARK wants to be the "wordpress of blockchains" I think that the project cannot only rely on making it easy for programmers of every programming language to understand their vision but also laymen that stem from the most diverse professional backgrounds all over the world -- Like me!
Since there are approximately 1.5 billion english speakers and between 175 to 220 million german speakers in the world I think that there is a lot of room for improvement!
I pledge to:
-Run my public delegate without any downtimes (obviously :D )
-Producing educational videos in English and German about blockchains in general with built-in connections to the ARK ecosystem in every episode
-Paying out 75% of forged ARK since the other 25% are being used to run the server and pay out my audio engineer (and video editor in the near future)
