I wanted to better understand the politics behind Wynwood. What I understand is that it was an unsafe area that developed into a community of the arts etc and then eventually developed into some trendy art event where businesses charge 7$ for a shot of espresso. I heard they pushed a bunch of poor people out while few line their pockets, is that true?
Hey guys I'm planning on moving to Wynwood in January and I have a few questions I was hoping current residents could answer for me.
I read on the website that guests are welcome for no more than 6 days a month and no more than 3 consecutive days. I don't plan to respect that policy, so I wanted to ask how serious are they in enforcing it? Sometimes it will just be my girlfriend spending a week with me, in which case she wouldn't bring a car, but some other times it will be my boys coming over for a week, and they would bring at least one car. Do they often tow cars in the parking lot? Also, how is the parking?
I have an Airbnb on the corner of NW 2nd ave and NW 31st street. It's a little less than a mile away from the venue. Is it safe to walk home after the fest?
