A list of puns related to "Wrestlemania 35"
"Initially, when the card came out, we were supposed to go right before them. Brock was like, 'No, we need to do something different. It's going to hurt both matches if they are back-to-back. It's going to take the wind out of the sails of both finishes. We need to switch this up. Let's do something we've never done. Let's go on first.' It took some convincing to push Vince in that direction, but within an hour of the show, we didn't make the switch until an hour of going out."
It was after that match Rollins earned Brock's respect.
"It took some time. He's a guy who is not just let you come in and, on a shoot, can take anybody in the locker room. It takes time to earn his respect. It took me a cold pack of Coors Light in his locker room after"

After her win against Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss comes out, yet again, and says how great she is, and goes into how Sasha Banks is a loose cannon. Bliss is met with a nasty surprise, as Banks comes out with the same kendo stick and just unloaded on Alexa, leaving marks on her body from the stick, before referees come out to stop her. Over 2 weeks, Sasha and Alexa just use foreign objects to beat the hell out of one another. Tables, Chairs, Chains, Pipes. Eventually, Management had enough, and set the pair for a No Holds Barred match at Extreme Rules. Strangely, both women are happy about this. Sasha and Bliss prepare to rip one another apart.
Over on Smackdown, Sonya calls out anybody to face her, and right away Carmella comes out, and says she wants her title back, Deville stole it. Asuka comes out, brass knuckles on, and chases Carmella off. She gets a mic, telling Sonya sheβll be back for her once THIS is taken care of. The challenger for Sonya Deville? An Irish Lass Kicker in Becky Lynch comes out and takes the challenge, and this is set for the Pay Per View, but Sonya wants a fight. Management set a βPick your Poison stipulation, where Sonya picks Beckyβs opponent. This will take place over the next 2 weeks.
Beckyβs match is first. She has an opponent she never saw coming: The NXT Womenβs Champion! Becky looks slightly scared, as Shayna strolls to the ring, title around her waist, and the match begins as Lynch puts up one hell of a fight. Baszler does take control as she works the arms of Lynch, stretching her in ways she isnβt meant to go. In the end, a Sonya Deville distraction costs Lynch the win, Baszler putting her to sleep.
Next week, Sonya Deville has someone she knows TOO well: Mandy Rose. The two have a short match, as Becky is taunted by Sonya, and eventually gets involved, costing a DQ. Mandy and Becky size up, but Shayna Baszler grabs Rose from Behind, Sonya attacking Lynch. Baszler and Deville stand tall, but Next Week, thereβs a Tag Match between the 4 women. The Tag Match happens, as Becky pins Deville as Shayna walks out on her. Sheβs building momentum for Extreme Rules for their title match.
Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks - Raw Womenβs Championship No Holds Barred
Just like last time, the pair put on one HELL of a match. Only this time? With weapons. 3 tables are broken, Kendo Sticks are cracked, Ladders are out and even the Steps have been used, as Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks just teat the house down. The end come

In the months following Wrestlemania 34 and leading up to Evolution, Raw turned into The Riott Squad show, as Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan have run roughshod all across the Raw Women's Division on Ruby's path to the tap, while over on Smackdown, Becky Lynch is starting to see a resurgence with her new "The Man" persona, winning both the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match and the Smackdown Women's Championship.
Go Home Raw and Smackdown before Survivor Series 2018
On the go-home Raw before Survivor Series 2018, Becky Lynch still does her infamous invasion of Raw with the Smackdown Women's division, which still sees Nia Jax's fist give her a fractured orbital bone, but there's one difference here from real life, and that difference is, The Riott Squad are not involved in the start this segment. Eventually, The Riott Squad come down and storm to the ring, but they stop at the midway point of the entrance ramp, before Ruby Riott grabs a mic and says "if we're gonna do this, it's gonna be on my terms, you'll see what I mean". On the go-home Smackdown before Survivor Series, Becky Lynch confirms that in the invasion of Raw the previous night, Nia Jax fractured her orbital bone, and she will have to withdraw from her Survivor Series match against Ruby Riott. Becky then handpicks her replacement, picking Charlotte to go to battle against Ruby Riott, seemingly burying the hatchet with Charlotte, but the segment doesn't end there, because The Riott Squad's music hits. Ruby Riott then comes down the entrance ramp, with the commentary team wondering how the hell she got into the building. Ruby then cuts this promo, "oh, you girls look a little surprised to see me here, because I wasn't gonna let you girls think you could get away with what you did last night, and Becky, you coward. You lead this big invasion, acting like you have some balls, but the next night, here you are crying about how you have a fractured orbital and you can't compete at Survivor Series, because you're a coward. And one more thing, remember how I said that if we're gonna do this, it's gonna be on my terms, now you know what I mean". The lights then go out, and when they come back up, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan are on the apron, wielding kendo sticks, along with Ruby Riott, who is also wielding a kendo stick. Despite the 10-on-3 disadvantage, The Riott Squad manages to take out Smackdown's women's division with kendo

Note:
(Instead of the bloated spectacle we got in real life, WWE announce that for the first time in the companyβs history, WrestleMania will be held over two nights. Night 1 will be called by the SmackDown team, while night 2 will be called by the Raw team.)
Dates: 6/4/19 and 7/4/19
Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey
Night 1:
SmackDown Tag Team Championship:
The Usos (c) vs The Hardy Boyz
(The Hardy Boyz defeat The New Day and Sanity in a triple threat match on SmackDown to become number one contenders. Matt and Jeff say that two years ago, they returned to WWE with a renewed passion, and they want to show the WWE Universe that they still have a lot left in the tank. Jimmy and Jey say theyβre not ready to step aside for a nostalgia act like The Hardys and they will lock them up in the Uso Penitentiary, just like every other tag team theyβve beaten.)
AJ Styles vs Randy Orton
(Randy Orton begins targeting AJ Styles after Elimination Chamber. AJ says that SmackDown is the house that AJ Styles built, and he's not going to let a snake tear it down. Orton says that while AJ was stuck working in the minor leagues, he was winning world championships year in and year out. He also tells AJ that heβs "the landlord", and rent is due.)
SmackDown Womenβs Championship:
Ember Moon (c) vs Asuka
(After Fastlane, Asuka engages in psychological warfare with Ember Moon. Such as teasing heel turns after tag team matches, and refusing to tag in while leaving Ember to fend for herself. Ember says that she wonβt allow Asuka to get in her head, and can't wait to finally beat her at WrestleMania. Asuka says Ember was weak in NXT, and that sheβs still weak now.)
Falls Count Anywhere Match - If Shane McMahon loses, heβs fired as SmackDown Commissioner:
The Miz vs Shane McMahon
(On the SmackDown after Fastlane, Shane McMahon unleashes a verbal tirade on The Miz. Shane says that he got sick of Miz trying to suck up to him, and that he's sick of all the fans who have no idea what he does for them behind the scenes everyday. Shane challenges Miz to a match at Wrestlemania. Miz says he accepts Shane O Macβs challenge, telling Shane that he helped earn his fatherβs approval, but when Shane humiliated him in his hometown and put his hands on his father, he vowed to kick Shaneβs ass at WrestleMania. Miz also pressures Shane to put his job as SmackDown Commissioner on the line, to which Shane further

The incident was over the tuxedo shorts that McAfee was wearing for the Kickoff pre-show. McAfee revealed that he was told he could not wear his signature jorts, so he decided to take tuxedo pants and turn them into tuxedo shorts. McAfee also revealed it was Cole who booked him for the pre-show as Cole usually oversees the other announcers and where they will be working.
McAfee revealed that he came back from a Kickoff rehearsal and thatβs when Cole started yelling at him in front of Vince McMahon, the McMahon family, Superstars and celebrities. McAfee said he grabbed his bag from where the WWE Watch Along taping was going on and he almost walked out.
βWe get over to the stadium, hang out all day. I had a tuxedo top, we all saw that tuxedo top I got, weβve told the story β it was me and 6 high schoolers getting their prom tuxes, I got that tux for WrestleMania at the same God damn Macyβs,β McAfee joked about his attire. βI had tuxedo shorts, by the way. I was told specifically no jorts. No jorts. So, I said, you know what, Iβm not going to wear jorts, not at WrestleMania. WrestleMania deserves a little bit more, you know what I mean? So, we took tuxedo pants and what did we do? We made the tuxedoβ¦ shorts. So, the show is supposed to go live at 5pm. The Kickoff show for the WrestleMania on USA Network, by the way. I had three little parts on the Kickoff show. Very excited to be a part of that. Just a year ago I was pumped just to be announced for the NXT pre-show, now Michael Cole is putting me on the WrestleMania pre-show, the Kickoff show, which is incredible. This is awesome, in the middle of MetLife Stadium, 80,000 people there, letβs go.
**βSo, we had like five rehearsals scheduled. None of them happened until about 4:15, 45 minutes before the show. I had been sitting in Gorilla for about 2-3 hours at this point, just waiting for rehearsals to happen, less than 10 feet away from Vince McMahon the entire time. Didnβt say a single word, he looked busy. So I didnβt say anything, I was just sitting over there. We finally do the rehearsal, I come back in from the rehearsal and itβs Michael Cole on the phone, panicking with the entire McMahon family in the Gorilla. I believe there are a couple other Superstars in there, celebrities are in there, and I just

Prelude
Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut at the 2018 Royal Rumble after a year away from the media after getting knocked out in 48 seconds by Amanda Nunes at UFC 207. In WWE, Ronda had a great debut at Mania 34, then feuded with Alexa Bliss for a bit, then the Bellas feud happened that nobody asked for, then she kept on unnecessarily squashing The Riott Squad, then the Becky Lynch feud that further made Becky a star, then she dipped and was never heard from again. This prompt is gonna focus on how the WWE Women's division would be booked from 2018 to Mania 35 had "The Baddest Woman on the Planet" not stepped foot in Philadelphia on January 28th, 2018.
Smackdown 11/21/17
Smackdown Women's Championship
Charlotte Flair (C) vs Natalya (No-Contest)
Before we dive into the main portion of this booking, there are some things that need to be changed, starting with the 11/21/17 episode of Smackdown. If this day rings any alarm bells, it's because it's the day The Riott Squad debuted. Ruby, Liv, and Sarah still debut on this episode of Smackdown, but their debut is very different. Instead of just beating up Naomi and Becky Lynch backstage, The Squad makes their debut in the main event of Smackdown, which is a Smackdown Women's Title Match between Charlotte Flair and Natalya. During the match, Ruby Riott comes out (with no music) and walks down to ringside, with the commentary team pointing out that she's there. Eventually, Charlotte and Nattie both notice that Ruby is there, and look confused. After this, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan come out from out of the crowd, and attack Charlotte and Nattie, causing the match to be thrown out. The Riott Squad beat the living sh*t out of Charlotte and Natalya, with Ruby relentlessly attacking them with a lead pipe, the screen having to go black and white because of blood, and The Squad just trashing the ringside area, putting Charlotte through the announce table, damaging the ring, with Smackdown going off the air as Riott, Morgan, and Logan stand over the fallen champion. It's also worth noting that Absolution doesn't debut until the following week's Raw.
Build to COC 2017
On the 11/28/17 episode of Smackdown, Ruby Riott addresses her, Liv's, and Sarah's Nexus-like debut the previous week, saying "I know all of you watched what happened last week, so I really don't need to explain what happened, but ladies and gentlemen, just in case you are deaf, dumb, blind, stupid, or since you live in this dump

The Royal Rumble is here, and on Raw? Ember Moon is kicking off the show, and is looking forward to the Royal Rumble. Sasha Banks is here, though, and reminds Ember that theyβve never faced 1 on 1. Ember accepts the challenge that Sasha throws out for that same night, and the match is good, but Banks gets herself counted out. She says βNot tonight. Royal Rumble is the place.β Ember is furious, and accepts.
The next week, Ember Moon faces Bayley once more, per request of Banks, and Ember hits an Eclipse, but the referee went down moments before via Moon crashing into her. Sasha Banks comes out, and hits Moon with a chair, and Bayley wins the match, and Banks continues the assault. Ember, on the next Raw, is an angry machine, and when anyone talks to her backstage, she hits them in the face. Management kicks Moon out of the arena, and is not allowed to show up until Rumble. Sasha loves this, and acts like Moon has already lost for 2 weeks. But before Rumble comes? Ember gets her own back, and desperate to get a little bit of retribution, Moon hits Banks with an Eclipse with help from the lights going out.
Over on Smackdown, Asuka has the gold. Becky Lynch wants the title back, and itβs the same as before. Becky v Asuka, Charlotte in the rumble.
The Royal Rumble build also remains the same, and the competitors are the same.
Ember Moon vs Sasha Banks - Raw Women's Championship Street Fight
Ember starts strong, and reveals Brass Knuckles, as Sasha tries to escape. The whole tale of this match, is Sasha and Moon wanting to use the Brass Knux somehow, but no one is able to do it. Sasha uses a Table to hit Moon in the face, and eventually Moon is slammed through one. Moon however breaks several kendo sticks over the body of banks, and does send Banks through the Announcers Table. The final moments of the match come when Sasha rakes the eyes of Moon as she grabs the Knux, and Sasha nails Moon in the stomach with them, and then uses them to lock in the Bank Statement, with the Knux in the face of Moon, and Moon passes out from the pain. Sasha Banks is the Raw Womenβs Champion once more!
Asuka vs Becky Lynch
The EXACT Same results as last time. Asuka and Becky have a good match, and nothing changes here. Becky Loses.
Womenβs Royal Rumble
This also remains the same. Although, the final 3 are Bayley, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, as the trio of Bayley, Lynch and Flair get Jax out. Bayley tosses Charlotte out, and itβs Lynch and

Without the arrival of Ronda Rousey, quite a bit has changed. For starters, The Riott Squad is actually used properly, Carmella gets a brief Smackdown Women's title reign, Asuka doesn't lose her undefeated streak, Nia Jax doesn't turn face, Sasha Banks gets another Raw Women's Title Reign, and Ember Moon now debuts on Smackdown.
Backlash 2018
Pre Show
Bayley vs Ruby Riott w/Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan
The Riott Squad jump ship to Raw during the Superstar Shake-up, and immediately set their sights on Bayley, because Ruby Riott has a hit list, and that hitlist contains all 4 horsewomen, and she's already beaten 2 of them. Ruby says that she finds it baffling that one of the faces of this division is someone who dresses like a 5-year-old and thinks they're on the Disney channel, because that changes at Backlash. Just like she did against Charlotte and Becky, Ruby Riott runs right through Bayley, scoring her 3rd victory over the 4 horsewomen.
Main Card
Smackdown Women's Championship
Asuka (C) vs Nikki Cross
After winning the Smackdown Women's Championship at Wrestlemania 34, Asuka's first title challenger is her old NXT rival, Nikki Cross, who debuts with SAnitY, who now get called up in March ahead of Wrestlemania, and win the Smackdown Tag Team Championships from The Usos at Wrestlemania 34. Nikki claims that Asuka fears her, she feared her back in NXT and she still fears her now, because she vacated that NXT Women's Championship not because she was injured, because she was afraid, Asuka knew that she was never gonna stop coming for her, she was going to continuously chase her for that championship until she got it, but now she has a new championship for her to chase after, because unlike in NXT, she will lose that Smackdown Women's Championship to her, and that's what's gonna happen at Backlash. Asuka says that Nikki has this obsession with her, she couldn't stand constantly losing to her in NXT, so she and SAnitY followed her to Smackdown, and just like in NXT, the same result will apply for Nikki at Backlash.
I Quit Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Sasha Banks (C) vs Alexa Bliss
Following her humiliating defeat to Sasha at Wrestlemania, Bliss invokes her rematch clause against Sasha at Backlash, while also going to Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon to make the match an I Quit Match. Alexa claims that Sasha has once again fluked her way into a Raw Women's Championship victory at her expense,

I would not change much about this. I think itβs a good start, but it should have more big moments. Here are the 2 things I would change about this Rumble.
Mandy Rose, 4, and Torrie Wilson, 9, are changed. Torrie is the first eliminated, sadly, but for this story? It works out.
Mandy Rose comes out first at 9, Sonya comes 2 numbers later and they dominate the ring. They then come face to face with Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch.
Sonya, knowing Irish people love to fight, charges right at Lynch, and Banks heads to Mandy. Sonya proves she belongs on the high stage, and takes it to Lynch with her MMA Striking and submissions.
Sasha is also dominating Mandy Rose in the other corner, and almost eliminates her, but Sonya hits a knee and knocks Sasha out for a second and saves Mandy, pulling her back onto the apron.
Mandy then turns her back on Sonya, and celebrates, saying this:
βThank you, Thank you! Sasha Banks is not as beautiful as me!β
Sonya, staring at Mandy, is starting to tighten her gloves, and like a bull seeing a red item, is slowly getting furious. In the end, a few seconds pass and she runs to Rose, locking in a sleeper hold! Mandyu flails and squirms, and Commentary sells how brutal it is, how Many goes limp, and Sonya doesnβt let go. In the end, she lets go and kits a forearm to her neck, Mandy falls off the apron, limp on the ground.
Asuka, here, is dominant. She is dominating, and needs more. The main roster was above NXT at this time, and a legend should not hold the record (for now) of 5 Eliminations. Asuka should. So when she enters, she tosses 3 people out right away, then another 2 afterwards, then the runner up as she wins the Rumble.
Elimination Chamber
The Women's Elimination Chamber happens the same. Alexa Bliss is defending against Banks, Bayley, Rose and Deville, but instead of James? Itβs Jax who is in. Rose and Deville are NO longer friends, and Rose beat Dana Brooke to get into the chamber on the last Raw before the PPV.
Rose and Deville start, and Sonya shows dominance. Before Sasha even enters, Deville lets Rose unleash her anger and rage, Rose is trying to get the crowd behind her, but itβs this point Deville does what she did at the Rumble, and locks Mandy in a sleeper, and Rose taps out. Deville took some punishment, but ended Rose just as fast as she should be doing.
Sasha enters, then Bayley, then Jax. Sasha, Bayley

(Because no one wants to have to watch 7 straight hours of wrestling, mania 35 is split in a 2-day card. Night 1 is called by the Smackdown announce team, night 2 is called by the Raw announce team.)
Card
Night 1
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Usos (C) vs Shinsuke Nakamura and a mystery partner (Kevin Owens) w/Paul Heyman
(Nakamura scores singles victories over both Usos in back-to-back weeks, then beats them in a handicap match to earn this opportunity. The Usos say that it isn't gonna matter who Shinsuke picks as his partner, because they're both getting locked up in The Uso Penitentiary. Nakamura says through a translation from Paul Heyman that his partner will not only stun The Usos, but stun the world. Kevin Owens is revealed to be Naka's mystery partner for this match, with NaKOmura winning after a Kinshasa into a Stunner.)
Smackdown Women's Championship
Ember Moon (C) vs Charlotte Flair
(Charlotte uses the title opportunity she got from co-winning the rumble with Becky Lynch to set this match up with Ember. Ember says that Charlotte keeps on hogging the spotlight all to herself, and can't wait to put a change to that at Mania. Charlotte says she should be in the main event, not Becky, but a title opportunity is a title opportunity, so she won't let it go to waste.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
The Good Brothers (C) w/Finn Balor vs Ricochet & Aleister Black
(Black and Ricochet earn this match after beating The Revival back at Fastlane. The Good Brothers say that they'll run right through these 2 singles stars and send them back to NXT. Black & Ricochet say that all Gallows and Anderson are Finn Balor's bald stooges.)
Alundra Blayze Women's Battle Royal
Liv Morgan wins by last eliminating Ruby Riott
(Ruby and Liv make it to the final 2, and Ruby demands Liv leave the ring so she can claim the victory, but Liv doesn't, instead, she hits the 201 Facebreaker on Ruby, and throwing her over the top rope to win the Alundra Blayze Women's Battle Royal)
(Entrants are: Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Asuka, Lacey Evans, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Mickie James, Carmella, Nikki Cross, Naomi, Dana Brooke, Zelina Vega, Candice Lerae, Kairi Sane, and Maria Kanellis)
