So, I've always taken gnomes for granted in WoW. They're the joke race. You laugh at them, you punt them and every NPC you meet is so over the top cartoon characterishly absurd you just kinda dismiss them. I had no issue with it, though I know some players genuinely love short races and feel like Blizzard has done gnomes dirty, essentially "punching down" if you forgive the bad pun.
I've been playing Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous... and I had this guy join my party. A Gnome who is a Hellknight - basically you can think of them as the love child of a Death Knight and a Scarlet Crusade Paladin.

Then when you formally meet him, his delivery and speech just leave you no doubt - he's ruthless to a literal fault... Gnomes always seem to go to extremes, whether D&D, Pathfinder or Warcraft and that's not untrue of Regill... but nothing about this character makes you laugh. After playing with him for a few hours in the game, it occurred to me how easy it would have been to make this character a joke - like a WoW gnome. A hardcore, tough ass, drill-sergeant coupled with over the top ruthlessness delivered in such a comically overblown way, you just couldn't take him seriously. Like a 2 foot Soldier from Team Fortress 2. Yet they gave him a great backstory, intense ruthlessness coupled with a powerful confidence, gravitas and strategic mind that harkens more to Tywin Lannister of Game of Thrones to any cartoon character.
I really hope if Blizzard is going to continue actually trying to make legitimate content for Alliance races, they'd consider a character like this who actually breaks the mold and challenges the notion that Gnomes are kind of a running gag. Because even though Regill didn't make me laugh, he quickly became one of my favorite characters in any game in recent memory... simply because he was so far from what I expected to ever encounter.
How does everyone else feel about WoW Gnomes? Could they use a bit of diversity themselves?

So yeah i am pretty new to WOW and i am just wondering how i am supposed to get good armor for my low level self. i Mean in retail the armor is like gettin tossed at ya but in Classic/TBC i am kinda lost. Since Gnomes can only wear cloth... so how do i get or where do i buy myself fitting armor for my level? (lvl 18 right now)
