A list of puns related to "World Marathon Majors"
A list of the winners can be found here
I was reading this article and it mentioned that Chengdu may become the next World Major. There's also talk about having one of the majors be in Africa or Singapore. I have a long-term goal of completing all the majors, but if they keep adding more, I feel I will never finish! (lol). I also think if you start adding too many, it will dilute the exclusivity of the majors.
I personally think Chengdu would be a strange choice as the marathon has only been held there since 2017. It has no history although the city looks quite pretty. Paris would be a great addition but then again it does not provide geographical diversity. What are your thoughts?
you play out the game as per normal, but when major events occur the dark ages, black plague, ww1, ww2, etc. The game slows down during those periods and they are played out historically, or with the ability to create a distopian world afterwards. I.e German winning ww2.
The game could also be specific to your civ. If playing England battle of Hastings etc.
Thoughts?
Hi all, we looked at the podium finishers (men and women) of the 6 world majors for this year and checked what shoes they were wearing.

This sounds like an interesting idea.
