A list of puns related to "Window Snyder"

With no input from Danny-boy, you're in charge to make decisions. What would you do to right the ship during your term?
Every week we post official discussions for widely released movies and attach a poll to each asking users to both rank the movies from 1-10 and whether or not they'd recommend them. Those polls get compiled into the yearly list and the all time list every so often.
If 2020 was an odd year for movies due to all the streaming releases, 2021 found a way to keep just as many streaming releases while also getting us closer to those big box office performances as the year went on. It was still a strange year to try and collect movies for discussions since there are now roughly 100 streaming services and each releases movies when they feel like it, but we did our best. This is also a strange year because it includes two awards release windows, so don't be too surprised if you see movies from "last year's" Oscars on here.
As mentioned in last year's thread, I believe this is one of the best methods we have of ranking movies in this subreddit since each movie is voted on by people who saw it, and not given preferential treatment based on popularity. So, here it is, the top films of 2021 as voted on by the subreddit.
Rank | Film Title | Mean Score | Number of Votes |
---|---|---|---|
1 | The Father | 9.04 | 660 |
2 | The Rescue | 8.89 | 76 |
3 | Spider-Man: No Way Home | 8.87 | 19,263 |
4 | Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train | 8.74 | 1,973 |
5 | Coda | 8.74 | 246 |
6 | Summer of Soul | 8.7 | 66 |
7 | Judas and the Black Messiah | 8.56 | 1,040 |
8 | Riders of Justice | 8.5 | 203 |
9 | C'mon C'mon | 8.49 | |
10 | tick, tick... BOOM! | 8.46 | 751 |
11 | The Mauritanian | 8.43 | 192 |
12 | Dune | 8.42 | 17,575 |
13 | Minari | 8.41 | 840 |
14 | Little Fish | 8.4 | 144 |
15 | Swan Song | 8.36 | 45 |
16 | About Endlessness | 8.33 | 3 |
17 | The Sparks Brothers | 8.32 | 62 |
18 | Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain | 8.31 | 151 |
19 | One Night in Miami | 8.22 | 305 |
20 | The Mitchell's vs. The Machines | 8.22 | 1,668 |
Much like rotten tomatoes, the less seen but high quality movies or movies with highly niche audiences tend to do well with this system because most likely only people who want to see them are voting on them.
If we set parameters, such as at least 500 votes to be included, the top 10 would be:
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
The nurse asked the rabbit, βwhat is your blood type?β
βI am probably a type Oβ said the rabbit.
The doctor says it terminal.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat

Erik Davis - Marvelβs #Eternalsπ· is spectacularly weird & rich w/ a new MCU mythology that makes it feel separate from everything else. Itβs honestly refreshing. Thereβs a bitter sweetness to the film that you feel in its sunset shots - a definite ChloΓ© Zhao touch. It is soulful & thoughtful
Anthony Gagliardi - ChloΓ© Zhaoβs #Eternalsπ· is absolutely fantastic, the cookie cutter Marvel template is thrown out the window and youβre given an enthralling experience, a must watch this year.
Scott Menzel - Eternals is Marvelβs version of Zack Snyderβs Justice League. A film that builds upon a cast of unknown characters and does so with great success. ChloΓ© Zhao direction is superb. Easily one of the best looking Marvel films of all time. Insane post credits scenes too. #Eternalsπ·
Pnemiroff - #Eternalsπ· is DENSE & I felt the weight of the exposition often. Movieβs at its best when the focus is on the Eternals recreating their family - the humor of it & the passion when they fight for each other and the things they love. Also, Angelina Jolie in the MCU is EVERYTHING.
Dial M - #Eternalsπ· was my most anticipated MCU for good reason: ChloΓ© Zhao absolutely delivered an epic movie that really is anchored by powerful performances from the whole cast. Standout characters for me are Sersi, Makkari, & Sprite. Wowβ¦ what a movie!
Dorian Parks - #Eternalsπ· was one of my most anitcapted movies of the year and Iβm happy to report that it did not disappoint at all. ChloΓ© Zhao takes you on a thrilling and emotional journey. The visuals are incredible and the cast absolutely kills it. The cosmic side of the MCU is expandingπ·
Brandon Davis - #Eternalsπ· is a whole lot of movie. Itβs shot with a massive scope, looking visually different (and more intimate) than anything else Marvel. It has laughs, great surprises, and heart to go with the gigantic, crowded story it unpacks. ChloΓ© Zhao has a really unique visual stamp.
Tessa Smith -

We told her she can lean on us for support. Although, we are going to have to change her driver's license, her height is going down by a foot. I don't want to go too far out on a limb here but it better not be a hack job.
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.

Gender is fluid.
Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
But let me give it a shot.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
